The problem with Hotcopper |

i did register with hot copper and used it with log in id and password
next day if i use the same id and password it says wrong user id. so i went and register for another id and password. then came the message wrong id & password, when contacted the hotcopper admin through the email they said i have created multiple id so i wont be able to acess anymore because of the following reason. really i would say someone who has got half brain has been running the hotcopper. my view please. |

One thing I find really annoying about hotcopper is that they do not distinguish between OIL (Optiscan) and Oil the commodity)
I hold shares in optiscan and everytime someone posts about an Oil deposit somewhere or an Oil Discovery it shows up on the OIL thread, it relies on the posters who are submitting the post to place the correct destination i.e. ASX listed company or General discussion, it is amazing how many get it wrong, but HC don't seem to care! -------------------- All posters Please note, the decision to either buy or sell this share is entirely the individuals choice, I am not authorised to give investment advice, I post here to discuss the merits of technology as I see it, which may or may not be correct? and any information here is worth what you paid for it! the moose is loose

Noticed a few specs become HC phenomena. |

In the run-up to the Federal Election, HotCopper set
up a 'Politics' area. There was only one rule: Labor could be slammed up hill and down dale - but the moderators would not tolerate any anti-Howard comments lest they upset Liberal voters. I posted my views and a cartoon (below) about Howard kidnapping and caging children in adult prisons and leaving them to rot (to deter refugees) and was instantly and permanently banned. But I managed to find a people-smuggler and after a nightmare trip in a leaky boat, I popped up in ShareScene. |

I asked SS some time ago if I used a friend's computer to access my SS account and he also had an account, would it trigger their multi-account alarms and was assured it would, so take care with all those users. This was prompted by a friend being kicked out of SS because an employee used his work computer to log on and apparently the two names on the same IP address were not kosher and no explanation was acceptable. The overall theme is to be very careful to avoid any possible overlapping of access to SS accounts - can't speak for HC but it sounds similar. -------------------- Forget percentages... go for multiples!

Come on mate ... are you serious?  There are four members in our family who are internet users ... do you expect us to purchase four COMPUTERS in our household to appease Hotcopper??? On HC just this week a thread criticising brokers for their many bad recommendations was deleted. |
