Yes, but I think they raised cash last year at about 13c for all holders at the time.

A lot quicker this way. May have to top up if the price comes off a bit. That may not happen with the approaching drilling program.

Brokers RBC Capital Markets and Euroz Securities are expected to handle the offer, according to fund manager sources.

The deal will see Carnarvon seeking to raise $50 million at 33¢ a share.

2 appraisal wells to be drilled at the Dorado discovery commencing about April. ROC South 1 to be drilled asap after the 2 Dorado wells. It looks like some punters are getting set already.

You are correct!
Badly worded by me.
Should have read double the lower figure and half of the higher figure.

It's an interesting one. I expected more movement in CVN today given STO's deal with Quadrant. No idea what Quadrant have or what it is worth and how to give some indication of what CVN maybe worth to a suitor. Maybe Quadrant went cheaply given the initial fall in CVN today.
Euroz brokers reckon they are worth up near a dollar but they would say that. If it is actually light oil, no water contact and they drill a few more with similar results, CVN must be worth considerably more surely.

ANZ, CommBank bankroll Santos bid for Quadrant Energy

https://www.afr.com/street-talk/anz-commban...20180821-h14ar7

QUOTE
Santos has secured $US1.2 billion in new debt commitments to help fund its $US2.15 billion ($2.92 billion) bid for Western Australian major gas supplier Quadrant Energy.

Street Talk understands the oil and gas company tapped a syndicate of banks spearheaded by ANZ Banking Group and Commonwealth Bank of Australia for the funding. The $1.2 billion package included a $US600 million 5½ year bank term loan facility and a $US600 million two-year bridge facility which was to be refinanced once the deal completes.

The deal was to be funded by the new debt and $US950 million of existing cash.
- here's the reality. Gas will be around for a while; oil even more so.

(Quadrant is owned by financial investors including Brookfield, Macquarie, Wesfarmers and Angela Bennett. )

Slight rebound today to $0.395.
A poster on HC claims yesterday’s intra day low of $0.345 is significant. Half way between recent high of $0.69 and pre CR high of $0.17.
Me? I’m TA agnostic.
To me, more appraisal = higher 2C over time.
Happy to wait for CVN to join the ranks of middleweights and maybe bigger.
Also happy to see a major make an offer for the project, lease, JV partner or the whole enchilada.
