... still adding to the gains, (though less exuberantly). Now 3.15
QUOTE
Opthea Ltd (ASX: OPT)

This developer of novel biologic therapies for the treatment of eye diseases has been an impressive performer this year thanks to the progress it has made with the Phase 2b study for its OPT-302 combination therapy. A recent update revealed that OPT-302 (2.0 mg) combination therapy showed statistical superiority for the most accepted and sensitive primary efficacy outcome.

This could be a very big deal as the standard of care treatments for wet age-related macular degeneration (AMD) and diabetic macular edema (DME) had sales of over US$3.7 billion and US$6.2 billion in 2018, respectively.

In lay folk terms, the lucky-duck OPT-302 with ranibizumab patients were able to read more letters on an eye chart: a mean 14.2 letters compared with 10.8 letters for the ranibizumab-only control group.

- a big 'un, maybe

Yes as stated " Left a gap you can drive a bus through - may get filled when excitement wears off?" biggrin.gif

Notice of initial substantial holder in just now - KiFin Limited with 5.38%. - https://www.asx.com.au/asxpdf/20190814/pdf/...h3wwf8q2298.pdf. KiFin started buying in 2017

Some background into KiFin

KiFin is the investment vehicle for Nathan Kirsh - 78-year-old South African businessman / billionaire according to this article - https://www.theguardian.com/business/2010/s...up-nathan-kirsh

One of Kirsh's quotes

QUOTE
Shareholders need to have a real interest in the companies they own. Too many are simply too busy - they are asleep at the wheel. Nathan Kirsh

Must have a real interest in OPT then?
