EFT bought the aaNet ISP business (ie userbase, staff, equipment), not the actual company as such - So apparently the Exetel legal case(s) is/are irrelevant to EFT. This is according to discussion on Whirlpool and aaNet forums

Bought the broadband ISP Aanet for an undisclosed amount; however the sale might not go through, with Aanet involved in costly legal action with another ISP.
