This is an update of the chart last posted. For consistency, the start date is the same as the last one.

Since then the deadlock with Tala Hamza is reported to have been broken, with agreement in principle reached on the mining method, a revised feasibility study completed, translated into French and submitted for final approval.

I feel a bit like Frodo here (no offense intended); having a conversation with myself.

If you're out there Frodo, feel free to reply - make the thread more interesting!

This one's up 50% today. Anyone know anything?

Guess we'll have to wait for their response to the inevitable speeding ticket.

Some answers are provided here:

It seems they don't like the block mining method, and they may also be angling for a bigger share, as is the custom in Africa.

From the Quarterly today:

QUOTE
Realising value from the Tala Hamza project remains the highest individual priority for the Company. Following discussions held during my visit to Algeria, which ended in early February, a modified approach to mining the Tala Hamza deposit was proposed to our Joint Venture (JV) partners in late February. A meeting was held with our Algerian partners in late April to continue discussions on that proposed revised mining method. These discussions have not lead to satisfactory outcomes thus far. The Company expects to make a decision shortly as to the way forward with the project.

Does anyone know what the big stumbling block is here? Don't the Algerians want investment in and production from their fly ridden country?

There's been no recent announcement. I even checked over the road, but they're as flummoxed as I am. I guess smith16, there could be something about to be released on Algeria at last.

I've noticed that there are some threads here with just one sad shareholder desperately trying to prop up the stock. I hope this doesn't become one of those, but anyway, here is another announcement.
