Hmm , my wife said to me this morning that The Flying Rat just posted a huge loss. " I bet the share price jumps this morning" I said while sipping my first cuppa and watching the surf pound the beach into submission. Bingo! after fourteen years of tradeing I have almost worked this game out> NOT.

Merc, it makes not a micro-gram of difference. Symbolic nonsense. He needs to take responsibility and resign not a pay cut.

Buffet once said that buying airlines was asking for trouble. Not wrong.

Joyce, and other CEO's, sometimes make the move to freeze their wages. But when they start so high,

what difference does it really make to their lives.?

Junk it is. Earlier than I expected but same result.
Trading will be pretty savage when it reopens.

QAN in a trading halt waiting for news from S&P. I can't see anything else but a downgrade. One would think it is going to be very expensive.
Friday afternoon release of bad news after trading hours?

All this just before Christmas. Nice big round number of 1000 jobs. Maximum pressure on the gov't to do "something" and another trigger to justify big cuts, changes and assets sales.
