My "tan in a tube" dream is becoming more of a reality I think. I feel like it's closer than ever before. Whether OTC or by prescription, there is coming a day
when a fair skinned person can put on a lotion that truly protects against UV damage. Bye bye sunscreens biggrin.gif

It's a simple little grain of rice implant that's sub-Q. A second year nursing student could do it. I used to take testosterone pellets and a nurse used to slap them in for me.

I can write everything I know about shorting stocks on the tip of a needle using a Sharpie, so I'm sure my comment is ignorant, but if shorters are/can use our shares, what if we all set a 90 day sell order for say $200 share, would that lock up our shares?

Love it. Vitiligo, here we come. Any guesses on time frame? I'd say within 2 years but what do I know.

Yeah, I'm disappointed in the SP pullback, but I'm more excited than ever about what seems to be going on behind the scenes at Clinuvel. The amount of directions that this company can go with various products and treatments leaves me kinda like a kid at Christmas. All aboard the Clinuvel train....choo choo

Call me crazy, but I'm more excited about the OTC products, mainly because they possibly benefit me more. I'm waiting for my 'tan in a tube'...

Clinuvel should no longer have to, or more importantly, feel the need to keep everything under a veil of secrecy. Scenesse is wide open for the world to see now, so timelines and announcements shouldn't have to be tip-toed around and guarded with fear. I realize in areas where there may be competition (OTC), they have to be wary, but overall they dont have any competition. So, PW, dont be scared to broadcast about vitiligo and other potential indications, whatever gets me to 60-70 USD per share... biggrin.gif

This is what I've been wondering about and I think it's been discussed before, will it be possible for OTC products to give someone a tan? Maybe the OTC products are much less potent than the implant and not suitable for EPP but would offer an increase in melanin? i don't see the FDA allowing this or would this even fall under their control? I know many products that require a prescription here in the US but can be bought OTC in Mexico, so maybe other countries will allow a product like this?

If I had the shares some of you have, I would have sold out and retired but I probably need to try to maximize
my holdings. If nothing happens, I have a 5 year retirement plan. I feel like by that time the stock price will be far
ahead of where it is now and be nearing its maximum potential. I don't plan on selling a single share until then.

I'd be more than happy for my first alert to be something like: FDA approves Scenesse for EPP in the US.

I believe, according to Johnny H, another delay is not allowed. It'll either be approval or rejection.

That's better than not being convinced we will get approval (which is where my mind is at). Yeah, that's the pessimist in me. Give me approval and I'll cope with the stock price.

What are the likely scenarios of things that could happen on or before Oct. 6th?

Oct. 6th or before: Announcement of another delay?

Oct. 6th: Announcement of another delay, Announcement of Approval, Announcement of Refusal.

To me, it would seem if there is another delay, they would maybe say something before Oct. 6th (like they did with July 8th). If that be true, each day we inch closer to Oct 6th, the likelihood is that it will be either refusal or approval. To me, it would be a slim chance to have approval before Oct. 6th. 33 days and counting...….

So next Friday is the magical date for labeling. Is it safe to say we are only a week away from really knowing if approval will happen Oct. 6? It seems the general consensus is that if the FDA approves the labeling, then it's set to approve the drug. Is this a fair (accurate) statement?

The posts on this board kinda mimic the stock itself: riding high for awhile
then hits the toilet. We are definitely in the latter lately

I have been one of those to purchase Melanotan 2 and PT-141, of course for research purposes only , and from what I observed with my lab rats is the following:

MT-2 will take a Skin type 1-2 and turn them almost black with sun exposure and will definitely increase libido/erections, but the effects seem to fade after maybe a week of injections.

Pt-141: No darkening of skin but same as MT-2 regarding libido.

I'm sure the FDA approved formula is much better at it's purpose as opposed to something bought off the internet.

A sure thing? I sincerely hope you are right, but is there anything about this stock that's been a sure thing? Just think of what this board and stock price will look like come Oct 6 with FDA rejection, especially after approving PTN. It could happen, just sayin'

The line from the old gambler song comes to mind: You gotta know when to hold em and know when to fold em!

Right now I don't have a clue but I am absolutely terrified of an FDA rejection or delay or whatever. I've been around this stock long enough

that you cant figure it out.

The next two or three days would determine if we retreated toward $20 or headed

Maybe I could work a deal with the board here. Would it be worth, say 10% of your profit (payable to me), in exchange for FDA approval, and a quadruple share price overnight? All I would have to do is sell all my shares today and that's exactly what would happen. I guess I should apologize to the board for being the lone reason for the trials and tribulations of clinuvel. It has nothing to do with the ema or fda, PW and management, etc., it's all my fault. If you want a stock to suffer, just let me know and I'll buy some shares of it. Apple,Amazon,Google........anyone??

As a general rule, I'm against a takeover at this point at least. My upside of a takeover could also be a downside as well, depending on how you look at it, in that it would eliminate any coulda/shoulda/woulda about when/where/how to sell shares to maximize profit. I'm racking my brain about this already trying to determine an exit strategy. At least if they sell out to big pharma for $50 a share, while I may have wanted $75, it eliminates all the confusion and there's no hindsight 20/20 situation.

Well, it sounds like a bloodbath any way you approach it. Guess you could sell half on Dec. 31st and the other half January, at least break the income up over a two year period.

Any tax gurus in the house? biggrin.gif I've never been in the situation, so I will play out a scenario here. It seems as though your % of capital gains is tied to your income. My tax bracket is 22%, so my long term capital gain is 15%, but if you have little or no income, the capital gains rate is 0%. Suppose my investment in Clinuvel is enough to retire on and I quit my job on Dec. 31st and then sell my shares, say January 1st. Since I wont be working that year, I would have no/little income, would not my capital gains be 0% in the year that I sold?? Or maybe my thinking is all messed up.

I'm not complaining or wondering why the sp is what it is. I'm overjoyed.

For a long time I've read complaint after complaint about why the sp is soooo low.

CUV sp was constantly compared to every other biotech on the planet and the conclusion was always the same:

Management is inept, we need more PR, sp is being manipulated, etc etc.

Well, I'm not smart enough to figure it all out, but I just feel like the sp is finally showing its true value and I'm happy.

Onward and upward, I hope.

Like many, I have been in this since Epitan days. I've been frustrated, aggravated and everything else
But I've never sold shares. I've been dreaming of a high payoff so maybe I can retire
However, I feel a little ashamed of myself making it all about money, when people's lives could actually be saved
Or prolonged. Just take a look at the pictures of people with XP. As the old saying goes: a picture is worth
a thousand words. It's horrible just horrible. I don't see how any country could deny this drug to anyone
