Given the news in December 2014, I feel cheeky enough to restate a post from October 2013 for IRL.. Away we go?

The award of Aravalli is a postive start smile.gif See below for more detail..

Australian company gets nod for Aravalli mining

By Rakhi Mazumdar, ET Bureau | 26 Dec, 2014, 10.47AM

KOLKATA: The Rajasthan government has approved a mining lease for India Resources Rs 1,200-crore lead-zinc project in the state's Aravalli region, ending uncertainty for the Australian contract miner that had been lobbying for it for six years

Perth-based IRL, which has been engaged in contract mining at Hindustan Copper's Surda mines in Jharkhand since 2007, told the Australian Stock Exchange that the state government has administratively approved a mining lease in favour of Crown Mining Private Ltd (CMPL), a 100% subsidiary of IRL.

"It sends the right signal to the international community that India is getting ready to attract foreign investment under the new government," said Arvind Misra, managing director of IRL. "This decision by the Rajasthan government is significant as we have been lobbying for it for the last six years. We are grateful for this outcome immediately after the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Australia."

As part of the process, the Rajasthan government will request the director of mines and geology to prepare a new mining lease proposal for CMPL. The lease is expected to cover over 2,000 hectares, representing about 90% of the original application in this ecologically sensitive area. After it is approved by the state and central government, CMPL will be able to begin mining.

IRL's chief executive officer said the project was registered under the PM's Project Monitoring Group, which aims to promote foreign investment, and the "Make in India" campaign after Narendra Modi's visit to Australia last month. Misra had been invited to take part in a CEO Forum in Melbourne during Modi's trip.

The mineralised zone is adjacent to Sindesar Khurd and Rajpura Dariba mines, where grades in excess of 10% of lead-zinc are being mined by Hindustan Zinc.

The company's Aravalli project and Surda operations have made it to the list of projects identified by India and Australia to promote bilateral investment.

Suprises me that there is nothing about this share on share scene, but there is on Hotcopper. Anyway, seems a nice little number. Will be interesting to see how things progress from here... Bottom draw stuff perhaps, we'll see!

The first thing I would look at would be to see if M Kiernan, formerly of TTY and Monarch Gold, still has any influence in the company.
If not, I would investigate IRL further.

I am interested in India Resources as their production seems to be on target, they have had a problem with Monarch which cost them, they do not have a lot of cash which is not too good in the current market but they do seem to be making progress in a country that has huge potential.
Their share price has been hit extremely hard but does anyone have any views on their future?
