There's movement at the station ....
QUOTE
Vodafone and TPG are in talks about a merger of equals, which could create a $10 billion-odd provider of telecommunications services to Australian customers.
... but I'd reckon TPG will hold the reins.

So far, it's mainly ' leaks' as investment bank advisers line up for the gig.

we should get a 'handle' on that 'cup' in the daily pattern after todays news as profit takers skim some
but pattern has all the right qualities to suggest more upside after the skim.....on a % percentage basis expect a profit take
by traders who bought the low and long time investors (scared holders) who think theyre getting out at best price
13 Twiggs week money flows is headed north and about to crack thru the zero level, with retail well thru already

Interesting read

Telstra caught in a perfect storm as 5G and the NBN threaten major disruption
Aug 21, 2018 | Business, Featured

QUOTE
Telstra has failed, in the past, to take advantage of its position as the essential core of a networked world. How will they survive the next technological onslaught? If there was any remaining doubt that the Australian telecoms sector is caught in a perfect storm, Penn removed it at Telstra’s annual results briefings, warning of upheaval, disruption and an uncertain future for Australia’s most widely-held listed company. Michael Sainsbury reports.

QUOTE
Livingstone and Thodey had also been very vocal in saying the government compensation for the sale of the monopoly copper network, it is being independent that has underpinned its revenues, margins and dividends. Yet it’s now clear that they and Penn, who was Thodey’s hand-picked CEO and successor, did not properly forecast the depth of the troubles ahead and certainly did not do enough, quickly enough, to reshape the company.

Indeed, what a long and murky saga it has been for Telstra shareholders since Livingstone’s empty words. To be frank, it’s hard to see any other view than that she and Thodey had certainly seen some of what was to happen next.

Thodey resigned February 2015 (SP $6.24) and Livingstone February 2016 (SP circa $5.69) - SP on a slippery slope ever since - their departures were timed well - 20 year chart below.

thanks budy.
the chart says it bottom out, but for some sagahead like me whom put most of my money buy it all the way down to 2.62ish not long ago { my ego thingy}, i just need to off load big chunk for me to breath easier as the major gap been closed {3.00--3.05]

i been watch it closely, i reckon most likely it will go under 3.00marks once more and i will have enough cash to lick it again {2.88ish is my down side target} it might happen after 29th of this month as it x-divy. imho though. i still held reasonable stake, and think will off load them from 3.25----3.35 before 29th if TLS shoot up straight to there.

that is my trading plan.
please give me some help to adjust it. thanks

c'mon holders
come in give me some cheering, i kept ramping this dog for freaking long times by now, finally it gets to 3.00 bottom of that gap --3.00---3.05
i know i'm bit of saga head for this one.
i suppose it has good chance to fill the gap tomorrow as market think it is good value at current uncertainty market.
