If that isn't enough (Dirk pumping up ARWR) here's the next clue in the mystery. Read closely, it says, PFE is looking to get it on with ALNY real soon.

Once upon a time it was Rodney King who sparked off the riots. This time round its George Kelly. I guess its a coincidence it all happens right before Independence Day and at the end of lockdowns, which have been swapped out for curfews. I thought we were going to get them in NZ.

Its always the same story. Lack of equality, injustice etc. But OJ got away with it, so what are they always going on about it for?

The good news is, if history repeats, we will get the biggest deal in history as soon as all this gets put to bed. I hope it incorporates the Western alliance instead of just America. There is much to be learned about how Japan defended itself against foreign takeover despite having lost the war through its corporate structures.

Grant of Share Options

21 May 2020

LONDON, Silence Therapeutics, PLC (LON: SLN) ("Silence" or "the Company"), a leader in the discovery, development and delivery of novel RNA therapeutics for the treatment of serious diseases, advises that on 20 May 2020 new options have been issued to Iain Ross, Executive Chairman, to acquire a total of 500,000 new ordinary shares in the capital of the Company ("Ordinary Shares"), under the Silence Therapeutics plc 2018 Long Term Incentive Plan. Following this award Iain now has 1,000,000 options in the Company.

350,000 options will be granted with a strike price of 4.40 and will vest quarterly over three years. 150,000 options will be granted with a strike price of 5p, of which 100,000 will vest on the third anniversary of Iain's appointment to the board in April 2019, subject to Silence achieving a listing on a US stock exchange. The remaining 50,000 options at 5p will vest upon achievement of a listing on a US stock exchange and subsequent achievement of a share price of 4.40 over 30-days.

And if this isn't a flashing red light sell signal nothing is.

Sell in May and go away. Summer holidays in the US shortly. Nothing ever happened there.

When results are as good as what they are saying, usually a partner is already lined up ahead of results.

That no halt was called pending a cap. raise or partnership or any other kind of independent validation of what they have, begins to leave me nauseous with the smell. That only leaves SSH notices for proof. If they don't turn up in the next day or two, then what we have here is a pump and dump.

Remdesivir officially a flop according to reports today.

Makes me wonder what learnings from ddRNAi, antisense and siRNA can be applied to Covid. The leader in that area appears to be ARWR. Is that where the mega deal will happen?

My money is on ALNY and PFE. Short ARWR.

It's a dirty business full of dirty tricks. IP theft can't be ruled out since the market seldom does what is expected. We may yet see BNTC disappear altogether without a single share certificate being issued.

What a surprise. So what happens now?

Forever confined to our homes for our own good. Only allowed out if you have signed on to the app. and carrying a valid certificate of health. But only for Covid. It's perfectly ok to carry on with TB, HIV, Hepatitis and whatever else. If you wish to send your kids to kindergarten or school without any vaccinations so they can infect others then that is your choice because to do otherwise would impugn your human rights.
What commercial strategy have our leaders got up their sleeve to be able to deliver commercially viable outcomes against this disease? So far, in the US its been all about PPP's for PPE gear and ventilators.

Trump must have a trick up his sleeve when we are only five weeks out from Independence Day.

I don't know the laws so well in this area but it could be Air NZ may become a test case in bankruptcy. It's clearly heading that way. The Americans allow companies to trade while in bankruptcy so there is no reason why Air NZ shouldn't. Also, if a company does become bankrupt I believe all assets of the company become property of the Treasury Minister ahead of liquidation with the option of restoration available.

No longer is a bankruptcy a case of game over.

Market rates for a company like this is about $500m. There is still room to double in price before it becomes fairly priced. Next capital restructure should see the shares on issue consolidated and perhaps a cornerstone taken giving such a price. Remember Morphosys and Novartis.

It's as if there is a giant AI eye in the sky watching the NZX making sure that all share price movements stay within the parameters of a specially formulated algorithm. But that is just nonsense because we all know it's all about fundamentals. As Buffet has said many times, sooner or later the market must recognise the underlying value of a business. And Soros labelled the intervening period until it does as the period of reflexivity. Even wrote a big book about it.

Hughie must wish he could disassociate his name from this monkey. All doom and gloom in todays update. Except the bit where they are making $50m available for a new gib plant. They know where the money comes from. If it was as dire as all that they would at least defer the project for a year or two until the dust has settled. A cynic might say, todays news is how they intend to pay for the new gib plant or perhaps its all about paring back operations to bare bones ahead of some other M&A or divestment.

Bring on the break up and then Hughie might finally get his wishes fulfilled.

Despite its humorous element it seems Independence Day is on Trumps mind. But he has a problem. He hasn't got what is needed to be independent!

The big slibbery slobber sloth is still AWOL. If PFE is to partner ALNY it will be the biggest deal in history most likely. It hasn't happened because ALNY got outsmarted. They havne't got what it needs to be able to provide gold standard treatment. Remember when the Swiss and French all dumped out on them? Swiss went to ARWR, not sure about Sanofi. But when Trump is talking about other countries having what is needed for Covid and ALNY/PFE is out in the cold at this point in time then you know he is trying to draw the art of the deal together.

Time is running out. About six weeks until Independence Day and then a run in to an election.

MSB gets a mention in this very good article. Although not by name. Just in the all inclusive catch all monikers referencing everything outside that which is mentioned.
This recent activity suggests to me MSB is a giant pump and dump and those in the know, know MSB is not in the game. One bad read out in just one aspect of their trial is going to blow this thing out of the water.

There are, however, serious risks. Shares of smaller biotechs like Moderna, Novavax (NVAX), and Inovio Pharmaceuticals (INO) have surged on enthusiasm for their Covid-19 vaccine programs, despite the companies having no marketed products. Those stocks face steep drops if their Covid-19 vaccines fall through.

I wish NZ would wake up and realize just how captured poor old Jacinda really is by her good Doctor. Lawlessness is raising its head and people are seeing how kowtowing this government really is when they speak out of one side of their mouths for the law abiding population stripping them of their civil rights and personal dignities when they do while saying nothing out of the other for those who not only ignore them but stick the finger up to them.

People deserve to see Police actually catching crooks.

Heres the headline of MSB and what its doing in a trading halt. Trying to raise $100m for Covid treatment.

Therein lies the clue as to why I think MSB is toast. Or at least yesterdays poster child. Covid is a lung based disease which hijacks the cells RNA. A nasal spray or an inhaler for delivery of a siRNA modified therapeutic will offer greater efficacy than stem cells hands down.

When you have the NIH paying for your PIII trials and $60m in the bank with expected milestones if your trials are on track and successful, whats the need for another $100m?
There must be a rat in the kitchen.

One thing is for certain, if there is no big noting name in the outcomes of this trading halt, then at this stage of the game, the writing is on the wall for MSB. They will be gazumped by MRNA or someone else.

Have to remember, stem cells are a modality for delivery. And if you have to rely on the bone marrow donations of someone else to get your tonic, well...the limitations are obvious.
Have seen a few of the stem cell specialists fall by the wayside over time. MSB could be next.

If someone else can explain what the hell you are talking about I'll get it, otherwise you are quite welcome to keep your "secret" and feed the need to be the knuckle dragging alpha if that is where you draw your comfort from.

However, I am sure it will translate to something rather base when all said and done. And if that is the benchmark needed to attain dominance in a conversation that started off about downloading a privacy invading app under the pretence of healthcare then it is not a very high one and quite off the mark.

It even sounds a bit like losing sorely.

Yes. But it's a recent thing. Back when Kahuna was a boy it wasn't around. Hence his susceptibility. However, as he alluded to he's probably being a bit modest as it was more likely to be herpes and his good conscience comes from not wanting to give that to anyone.

If none of them are siRNA modified the way the MRNA therapeutic is then most likely they are all old hat.

That's how a gazumping happens. Someone comes in over the top of you with something better leaving your best efforts unwanted and useless.

Worth noting the NIH involvement in the MRNA trial as well as the MSB. Makes me wonder if the 600 people participating may've been diverted from a MSB trial.

Fauci has a lot more to say about MRNA technology than he has ever said about stem cells and MSB.

It is far more likely we will see a fast track to market from the FDA in MRNA trials than anywhere else including MSB trials for urgent or compassionate use. If it were up to Fauci, I am sure we would see the first mover be PFE or JNJ, that it isn't suggests the power balance in the pharmaceutical industry, the regulatory authorities and on Wall St. has shifted. Shifted from those forces SI chose to align himself with.

Still no SSH notices. Alarm bells ringing loudly when I read articles like this. I have strong suspicions the founder or another key shareholder is selling out without telling the market on a pump and dump scheme because he or they know the game is up and MSB is going to be gazumped by MRNA.

Like I said, a bet on MSB is a bet against Moderna (MRNA). Which makes it a bet against Bill Gates, the US Military, Merck and host of other big names.

If people want to take that bet, then good on them.

https://www.cnbc.com/2020/05/07/cramer-enco...ccine-tech.html

QUOTE
Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, recently told National Geographic that Moderna’s mRNA technology is “really quite impressive.” While no vaccines using Moderna’s platform have previously been approved, Fauci said it showed “great promise.”

Moderna’s vaccine candidate uses synthetic messenger RNA to inoculate against the virus. Treatments of this sort help the body immunize against a virus and can potentially be developed and manufactured more quickly than traditional vaccines. The company, like others, leans on artificial intelligence and cloud computing in its vaccine development.

“I was thinking that the way we’d be going was J&J or Pfizer, but if Moderna can do it, you know that we’re going higher” in the stock market, Cramer said on “Squawk on the Street.”
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Moderna announced on Thursday that the Food and Drug Administration has given it approval to begin phase two trials on the potential vaccine. Moderna said it will commence phase two with 600 participants shortly and is trying to finish plans for a phase three trial as early as this summer. Phase one at Moderna began in the Seattle area in mid-March, the first such trial in the U.S. The Massachusetts-based firm has partnered with the National Institutes of Health.

With no share certificates being received but payouts for ineligible shareholders having been made and management's shares already registered you kind of wonder if this whole thing is legitimate. Like, has this company been stolen or is somebody deliberately holding onto the envelopes the certificates are meant to be in so they can't be sent?

You have to wonder because something is definitely wrong here. Having dilettante directors acting in the manner they have doesn't help.
Looking at Covid, the obvious preventative cure is a sirna based one because that would just turn off the receptor the virus binds to. This doesn't help BLT's cause since ddRNAi is directed to the DNA not RNA. So unless there is some magical breakthrough in HBV or Alzheimers or halopecia BLT is going to wallow.

A vaccine for Small Pox exists but none for Chicken Pox. At least not until recently.

Why hadn't you been vaccinated as a child?

This example shows you just how useless an app is. What happens if you are Covid free but full of chicken pox and end up infecting someone else? I guess it wouldn't matter a jot if the person you came into contact with were vaccinated because then they wouldn't get infected. Much like Covid. In the absence of a vaccine, once the disease has been contracted and the patient recovered, there should be some resistance to a repeat of it.

An app does nothing to prevent a person contracting a disease. Therefore, the argument to the affirmative is specious.

The fact is, which nobody wants to recognize, is that nobody has died of Covid. They have all died WITH Covid. That is to say, existing and underlying conditions couldn't cope with the added burden of Covid. Which means a lot of those fatalities could also have been brought about by a cold if they caught one. And if one should pass away from either one, it makes no difference which one because they were just as deadly as each other. When its your turn, its your turn.

Colds can be very deadly. But most recover and carry on. Just as with Covid.

No need for an app.

These interests and concerns are best served by respecting the concept of personal space which is now called social distancing, avoiding the shaking of hands, washing your hands regularly and staying at home when you feel unwell. Which is usually a cold. Do you think anyone is working on a vaccine for a cold? Colds can be deadly. Just as deadly as Covid. But as with Covid, the majority recoup just fine.

The bonus is, all of the above don't require an app because an app actually does nothing to prevent catching a cold or Covid or HIV or Hepatitis or anything else you wish to name.

By my understanding of the following taken from the Schemers Arrangement, it appears to me that no qualifying shareholder needs to do anything in order to receive their share certificates in the new Benitec. If non-qualifying shareholders have already received their cheque for their worthless shares then why haven't qualifying shareholders received their certificates so they can trade them? Particularly when they were sent out two weeks ago! I guess there is the Covid excuse.

Another reason why this whole lockdown thing is a farce...its completely illegal which has been my thinking all along. You cannot strip away the civil rights of law biding citizens to prevent them from going about their lawful business under a pretence of we know what is best for you. Poor old Jacinda. She is completely in hock to her advisors. What she probably hasn't realized is that she is about to set of a process which could well lead to NZ getting a Constitution to ensure such a thing can't happen again. Or sadly as I suspect, to ensure it can.

It would seem the lockdown has been run more on rules from the Beehive rather than the law.

Apart from over double the volume and a five percent gain there isn't a lot going on with ALNY today.

Reinforces my belief that this is going to be drawn out to Independence Day for announcement and Thanksgiving for closing.

BNTC still not showing up at the SEC. How can you domicile yourself in the US while maintaining Australian addresses and still not issue share certificates but carry on trading?

These directors were totally self serving treacherous sell outs.

There is a lot of rhetoric coming out now, especially from Q, Trumps underground mouthpiece against the MSM, downplaying this whole Corona virus thing. That its not as bad as the reports suggest and that effective medications already exist.

If this is actual fact of the matter, which is what most people think, then MSB might be going down the toilet soon if it has staked its future on Covid-19.
That will explain the recent spike an high volumes. Someone is selling out.

The HK dairy company which I follow has its appeal hearing from being struck of the bourse on the 27th of May. Thats the only thing on the horizon as far as I can see. Everything else is just noise.

The reason why it is significant is because I believe they have something the Americans want or need. Might be to do with GE cows or grass or something along those lines.

So if the Americans want to break free of the Made in China yoke and their biotech Sputnik moment, then they will have to do some sort of deal with the HK dairy company. Which means, if the Americans really want to celebrate Independence Day as an independent nation then something will have to happen between May the 27th and July the Fourth.

One thing is for sure, they can't do to the HK dairy company what they did to BLT.

Don't know the intricacies of the details of the US wage subsidy but I would imagine that one way or another it puts Arborgen on the hook of the US government by making them a creditor of some sort. I am sure the money will come with conditions and conditions on those conditions.

That puts the interests of the creditor at odds with those of the shareholders.

Shareholders have no legal recourse to the assets of the subsidiary despite Junior's claims of the two companies being one. If the intended outcome for the two companies were the same he would have amalgamated them by now. It's not like he doesn't know how to after the Rubicon Forest merger.

So what's Juniors game exactly?

The stench of impropriety from Junior is getting stronger by the day. Today he declares he has taken down the wage subsidy from the Trump administration but when you check the NZ wage subsidy recipients database, ARB is nowhere to be seen. Even though they were able to keep the Te Teko operations going during lock down, why wasn't it necessary to draw down the NZ subsidy if its necessary to draw down the US one?

Granted that PYC isn't the only company in the world working with peptides but they did file for patent protection of their EET. Which means it could be theirs being used under safe harbour provisions.

Q is according to internet folklore the backchannel of communications for the Trump administration in order to subvert MSM. For whatever reason, Q has chosen to dismiss the seriousness of Covid. Some events next week might help explain the shift in rhetoric towards Covid from Trump Live. Honestly, they are acting like its all over so maybe we can expect something because for the last ten or so days it is obvious Trump is holding something back. Right from when he starts mumbling in front of Fauci and Birx about how much money their respective organizations get to the day before yesterday when he names GILD's Remdesivir and then mentions others which he will talk about shortly.

The HK dairy company which was told to delist but hasn't by the HK Stock Exchange put out an update. They have asked the exchange to review the decision, submitted the documents and have been delayed until May 27th because of Covid. Is that so? I guess nobody can work from home in HK. The markets can't be essential in HK like everywhere else in the world. But once the 27th comes around we will hear nothing because thats the hearing not the decision date. I guess it will take a month to decide because that puts right on cue for Independence Day in the US.

Nant Health has been on a year recently.

It's my guess they will be bought out by ALNY or PFE or Blackstone or someone. Just so long as the buyer is American.

The outcome is BLT gets a new owner and America is great again ( at Australian shareholders and taxpayers expense).

Add to that list is a load of puff piece PRs in quick succession.

If I didn't know any better I would swear someone is trying to jack the price up to either sell out or lay the groundwork for a cap. raise.

I'd better check in with HC and see what the pumptard swarm is saying. They always have a good idea of what's going on. lol.

Still no SSH notices. Something beginning to smell about this.

A big jump up, high volumes with no SSH notices and a large holder selling out end of last year while the Americans muscle in on their trials.

None of it sounds like there will be a happy ending for Joe Bloe.

I can remember when HAART therapy came out to treat HIV. They didn't wait for PIII trials to finish. I think they went straight from PI to market and conducted the trials while marketing the drug. The drug was shown to be that effective they deemed the trials unnecessary. Now they have the Right to Try Act.

So watch out for a similar trick.

That'll happen once they have the deal in place. Trump can claim it as American then.

If the Americans are happy to stop WWII to allow Patton and his GI's to leap frog the Allies in order to be the first to march on Berlin and take the glory they are willing to do anything to create the perception they need. Nothing has changed in the last 75 years.

Listening to Trump Live this AM and he is talking about therapeutics for Covid again.

He makes reference to Gilead by name several times but clearly has something else he is holding back on.

My guess is he wants what we already know exists. That in Au. there are some of the most advanced and proven science in the world which has efficacy in Covid.

The problem Trump has is standing up and saying, I want you doesn't fit with the MAGA pontifical rhetoric he likes to put out.

They have already stolen BLT, who is next? PYC and MSB are on my radar.

He knows the art of the deal. Which means he knows the longer this goes on for the weaker and after he begins to look. Time to pay for what you want Mr. President. A state dinner for ScoMo doesn't cut it.

Where are the SSH notices? Who is doing all the buying and selling?

Same thing happened at BLT. Huge volumes. No notices. Then they sprang it on shareholders to shift to the US and that was that. Shareholders haven't even got shares in the new entity. May not ever either.

Hope the same doesn't happen to MSB.

There must be a reason why all these billionaires suddenly want to become known as philanthropists.

Perhaps they no longer have faith in the traditional systems of the FDA and NIH et. al. in providing the solutions needed in the market place. Instead, it might be better to have a two tier system as proposed by the Advanced Market Commitments Model.

Which means, if the NIH are going all in on the MSB trials without the philanthropists then perhaps its not all that in the first place.

Am wondering if anyone else is hearing the stories I am of some kind of eco-community coming together between Au. and NZ under the one umbrella. Might be the umbrella is something like Blackstone doing the US governments bidding. Perhaps MRNA or ALNY.

My main fear is they will never be listed. It means the company has been stolen if that is the case. Thieves aided and abetted by the directors. According to all literature and advice given by the company and its representatives, this should be done. It isn't good enough to say the certificate is in the mail because the holder should be able to see electronically the company actually exists in the eyes of the SEC. Right now, it doesn't.

Nobody will put anything into a tinpot nothing company with 3bn shares on issue. That means the only thing to look forward to is consolidation and a new partner with a new round of dilutionary capital raises until they go the way of VLA.

Yes. Lets all just forget about the fact that MSB is a modality option for delivery of a therapeutic payload. It is just as convenient to forget that the supply of its feedstock, stem cells, has to be harvested from a donor through the incredibly painful process of extraction from ones bone marrow.

This doesn't sound like a sure fire winner to me.

Granted though Trump during Trump Live did say about a week or two ago that in a week or two he would have more to say on the issue of a therapeutic for Covid. So maybe something leaked prompting the boom on Friday. To be seen if it is good for MSB or not.

One other small problem for MSB is that it is still an Australian company. If the theme in the US at the moment is MAGA, then no matter how good MSB it will not receive the recognition it is entitled to because its not American.

If you really think Trump, Fauci or anyone else is going to stand up and say, guys, America is the greatest nation on earth, we are throwing every resource and billions of dollars into finding a solution to the Covid virus and we found the solution in Australia, then you have rocks in your head.

If the hype of what you say is even half true then the best you can hope for is a buyout at an astronomical price. The worst will be an exclusive licence. The middle ground will be a placement and market access to the US. I'm inclined to think the shorts will be all over this next week because the world can be an injust place.

Artificial buying pressure via churn. How many times does a hundred shares have to trade between the same buyer and seller before it looks like its a thousand and drags some other lemming in? What's the available supply of these cells if they have to come from another donor?

That aside, NASDAQ trading suggests to me someone is exiting rather than getting in. Reminds me of BLT back in the day. Funny thing is the then CEO of BLT hightailed it over to MSB when she left BLT. I think it was because they were investigating delivery of shRNA through stem cells. You know, like a modal for delivery to the target cells.

Another funny thing is BLT were involved with Citigroup. As I believe MSB were or are. That's enough to put me off. A bunch of dogs they are. BIT is another one involved with them and look at the spotted history of that and its directors. Got a cure for HIV apparently. rolleyes.gif

Stem cells are usually modified outside of the host before being reintroduced back into the host. Mitosis then repopulates the target with the modified cells Whatever disease the stem cells have been modified to fight against is then supposed to capitulate.

Such a technique makes it a modality for delivery.

Is there anything to suggest MSB's technique is any different?

Plus 140% on the NASDAQ. Over 200% at one time.

As far as I can see, MSB is just a modality for delivery of the active payload. Bit like Enola Gay.

The question remains after the crisis is over, was this a natural phenomenom that happened or was it a bio-weapn? If it was the latter, were the Chinese or the Americans responsible?

Remember they had no idea what would happen when they dropped the A-bomb on Hiroshima. And they are not afraid of shooting their own foot and blaming someone else like in the Gulf of Tonkin.
From DARPA's site. If you follow the news, you'd think the US is a victim. But they themselves admit, they wish to be the initiator of strategic technological surprises. And, to that amazing list I think we can add bioengineering.

QUOTE
The genesis of that mission and of DARPA itself dates to the launch of Sputnik in 1957, and a commitment by the United States that, from that time forward, it would be the initiator and not the victim of strategic technological surprises. Working with innovators inside and outside of government, DARPA has repeatedly delivered on that mission, transforming revolutionary concepts and even seeming impossibilities into practical capabilities. The ultimate results have included not only game-changing military capabilities such as precision weapons and stealth technology, but also such icons of modern civilian society such as the Internet, automated voice recognition and language translation, and Global Positioning System receivers small enough to embed in myriad consumer devices.

It seems there is a lot going on at Arbo that Junior doesn't want to let on about. The Tenon payment was made and is to be deregistered pending no objections by the end of April. That kicked off a bit of M&A as per the document below. The strange part is, the registered address is different from that of its owner, Arborgen Holdings. Why would Junior want to have one of his subsidiaries located somewhere else? Different lawyers' addresses perhaps. All a little bit whiffy to me. To be expected when it comes to the Hughie and Luke Show.

Quite a few things appear to be in a state of hiding if you think that there might be an invisible hand at work.

BNTC, despite trading, doesn't exist according to SEC.gov. MODERNA THERAPEUTICS INC v. ARBUTUS BIOPHARMA. COPORATION decision hasn't been reported yet despite having been heard. The HK dairy company I follow, is still listed despite a decision by the market authorities to delist. The court hearings for the main proponents of the company drags on but it is impossible to find out details on it. Capitalism is still the same in spite of all the promises to change it.

This virus has got a lot to answer for. But I think we might get something in the first week of May. Otherwise, dig in until Independence Day.

In the last few Trump Live shows the matter of states becoming bankrupt due to the virus and pension plans has become a topic. Today, Trump is refusing to answer questions on the matter.
It's my guess, we are a short period of time from seeing some M&A amongst the states of America.

The outcome would be, a concentration of power (fewer states, fewer representatives) and a removal of the pension plan obligations leaving a whole swath of the population bereft of income in their golden years after having saved their entire lives for it. The Americans have a precedent in such things. Most recently at GM. But welching out their obligations is not a new thing for them.

Watch this space, the fallout after the virus is beaten will be huge.

Imaging small molecule-induced endosomal escape of siRNA.

Author information

Abstract
Small interfering RNAs (siRNAs) are a new class of promising therapeutic molecules that can be used for sequence-specific downregulation of disease-causing genes. However, endosomal entrapment of siRNA is a key hurdle for most delivery strategies, limiting the therapeutic effect. Here, we use live-cell microscopy and cytosolic galectin-9 as a sensor of membrane damage, to probe fundamental properties of endosomal escape of cholesterol-conjugated siRNA induced by endosome-disrupting compounds. We demonstrate efficient release of ligand-conjugated siRNA from vesicles damaged by small molecules, enhancing target knockdown up to ∼47-fold in tumor cells. Still, mismatch between siRNA-containing and drug-targeted endolysosomal compartments limits siRNA activity improvement. We also show widespread endosomal damage in macroscopic tumor spheroids after small molecule treatment, substantially improving siRNA delivery and knockdown throughout the spheroid. We believe the strategy to characterize endosomal escape presented here will be widely applicable, facilitating efforts to improve delivery of siRNA and other nucleic acid-based therapeutics.

According to the Schemers Agreement statements confirming issuance of new shares in BNTC should've been dispatched yesterday. Assuming all times are AEST times. But even if they aren't AEST times, the latest possible time for dispatch was overnight in the USA.

Another search of the SEC's EDGAR database yields the same message: No Matching Ticker Symbol.

Something very, very smelly here. Shareholders may've been done like a dogs dinner on this one.

No good pointing to the share purchase by PF. That guy has spent the last twenty years figuring out every way possible to stuff the shareholders over so he can live it up large on their backs. Can't expect him to suddenly throw a dog a bone without considering that instead of a bone, its a red herring.

FDA has cleared all obstacles and barriers to the development of diagnostics and therapeutics against Covid-19.

It's a flip of the coin as to who is going to be the big winner here. But I know it won't be BNTC. The dd in ddRNAi stands for DNA directed. Covid is a RNA interfering virus. If anyone is to have something which works against Covid, it will have to be siRNA based. ALNY is the leader there.

Quite possibly, the winner will be whoever has an ssRNAi approach with efficacy.

If you do a Yahoo or anything else search for BNTC, you will get a price quote and all the relevant data. Go to the SEC, the main authority for a company, do a name or ticker search in their EDGAR database for BNTC or Benitec and nothing comes up.

There is something really, really smelly in this Schemers arrangement. I have a feeling shareholders may've been duped and they will end up with nothing.

This on ticker (BNTC) search.
Try it yourself.

There must be some reason why the USA has set about to repatriate every single American around the world at the cost of the government. The concept of NZ allowing the national air carrier carrying national identity as its livery and corporate culture to fall over is a nonsense. Been there done that. It won't happen. Long haul will be back soon enough simply because the country needs the advertising.
In that case, if the industry remains it will be the business model that gets changed.
What nobody has considered so far is the alignment of all stakeholders' interests into the bottom line. Including employees.
It is often observed that staff on every level pay little attention to the interests of shareholders or fellow workers because their main concern is their own salary/wage rate.

If the salaries and wage rates were flatter and less elastic with a tiered bonus payment made according to quarterly profits you would end up with a business model that can breath in unison with the business cycle.

The upside is enormous. No more confrontatioal labour relations. Cooperation and communications become the order of the day. Massive efficiency gains since the guy on the floor is incentivized to find a better way to do his job because it means more for him. Better customer service. A sense of ownership instead of drudgery and resentment because the mortgage needs to paid. The list goes on.
Watch this space. I am convinced every last person in Air NZ is going to be fired at some point. Then rehired on new terms. Egalitarian terms.

Trump Live saying the NIH is launching PPP's with over a dozen biotech companies in conjunction with a bunch of other agencies from around the world to develop therapies and vaccines. The bad news is he is talking up the MAGA theme. BLT is now American. These directors are total sell outs. Australia is not going to get the recognition it deserves.

Quarterlies should be appearing next week. There might be a surprise in one or two of them. If not, there is only eleven weeks until Independence Day. This Independence Day will be like no other I am guessing if you believe anything you read from Q. Which I am not sure you can.

Pneumonia...or tuberculosis.

TB is still very common in the poorer parts of the world. Can you imagine the suffering that would be abolished if any therapy for Covid also worked for TB?

Huge. Just huge. Unfortunately, because TB affects the poorer parts of the world, decades have been lost in fighting against the disease because its not a lucrative disease. A breakthrough in Alzheimers would be lucrative because its the disease of the West but no joy there either.

If the same therapy were to work on Covid as well as TB then you would have the ideal candidate for the new Advanced Market Commitments model for the pharmaceutical industry.

Lets hope.

It's just one big social experiment.

Personally, I am wondering how similar Covid is to pneumonia. There must be plenty of pneumonia drugs around that can help alleviate the symptoms.

Collectively it is fair to say, the only accurate reference to be made about these directors and all those who preceded them is that they are the Hollow Men (and woman).

ANZAC Day next week. Nine days to be precise.

Could it be a ANZUS Day?

We all combine to fight the common enemy and celebrate our success on the same day?

Listening to Jacinda this AM she says her officials are now checking to see what they have in the cupboards that could be of use in the fight against Covid-19. Trump said something similar in his circus conference. Might be that ScoMo is parroting the same line.

Looks like the Trump Live press conferences have been canned in full and reduced to little sound bites.

Thats such a shame because the Q&A was some of the best entertainment around.

I guess the combative CBS reporter the other day asking about February was a little too combative and was able to joust Trump off his lectern horse.

Now, its not even worth paying attention to.

HIV was the original coup de grace for BLT. Back when they had the CSIRO team, Rossi as their SAB leader and trials underway in the CoH. Poster childs were held up as examples of HIV cures. Now there is nothing. But listen to what Trump says. He could well be referring to BLT ddRNAi when speaking about therapies for Covid-19. Shareholders won't get a piece of it though. They have been well and truly stuffed. It's possible CSIRO will get royalties. That must be why they are happy to let the equity go despite the IP being developed on taxpayer dollar.

The theme is MAGA. So there is no way Australia will ever get any recognition.

So there it is. A wet and miserable end to the re-Australiaficaton of BLT. Delisting to occur end of tomorrow.

I can remember something like this happening back in the eighties. The weapon of choice then was a Milken junk bond. It wasn't long after Drexel Burnham Lambert went bust. These days its done by scheming agreements.

By now in these kind of market collapses we usually see some foreign Vulture Capital funds coming in picking over the carcasses they have been nibbling on for a very long time. This time we are not seeing it.

That can only mean we have more to go on the downside or something else is going on. Maybe they are there and they are being rebuffed.
But I am thinking, what if an outfit like Blackrock were to buy in to companies like Air NZ and VAH. There must be an opportunity there to realize synergies. But it doesn't end there. Right now there are scores of companies looking ripe for some M&A. CSR, BLD and FBU and the entire biotech sector.

Scores if you look hard enough.

Today should be the last day of trading. I am reminded of those companies like VCR, CST and PGL that have all fallen to their various predators. CSIRO couldn't have known what they were doing.

If anyone was in any doubt about this lockdown being a social experiment on how to shut down a country and put it into martial law they won't be after reading this article. All of a sudden the military finds it necessary to conduct secret exercises. Add to that, when you listen to the interviews Jacinda is giving, it is becoming more and more obvious she is in hock to someone. Not a single decision she is announcing seems to be hers. Instead, they are all on the advice of her advisors. Everything else she is saying is typical salesman fluff.

Listening to Trumps presser this AM and in it a question was asked about the airlines. Both Mnuchin and Trump stood there and said, we're having some realy, really great discussions with the airlines.

Today, VAH goes into a trading halt.

Might not be what Trump was referring to, but if the theme is MAGA in the US, then he will be looking at the airlines as a national icon representing the USA.
Interlopers, that is private airlines competing with the national carrier won't be very welcome after a certain point.

It will be the same in Australia and NZ and everywhere else.

VAH is about to get spanked I am guessing.

Last day tomorrow and still no idea who the selling agent is. So much for transparency by the directors.

The ALNY transaction is proof the empire really is striking back. They have struck at every level and sector of the markets except equities. Looks like they are beginning to move in that area now. Where's Pfizer? And anything the American's do, you can be sure it is duplicated in lite form Down Under.

Which leaves the selling out of BLT to the Americans with CSIRO connivance all the more disappointing. Especially when BLT have been the beneficiary of tax payer funds for many years.

Independence Day this year really will be a celebration of something. It's looking more and more likely that is how long we will have to wait for the Covid waters to calm.

The Fed will finance a special purpose vehicle (SPV) for each acronym to conduct these operations. The Treasury, using the Exchange Stabilization Fund, will make an equity investment in each SPV and be in a “first loss” position. What does this mean? In essence, the Treasury, not the Fed, is buying all these securities and backstopping of loans; the Fed is acting as banker and providing financing. The Fed hired BlackRock Inc. to purchase these securities and handle the administration of the SPVs on behalf of the owner, the Treasury. In other words, the federal government is nationalizing large swaths of the financial markets. The Fed is providing the money to do it. BlackRock will be doing the trades.

This scheme essentially merges the Fed and Treasury into one organization. So, meet your new Fed chairman, Donald J. Trump.

Eleven weeks to go until Independence Day. The last one before Trump's re-election campaign. If there is political capital to be made in all of this he will grab it with both hands. They can keep the market baking for as long as they like. All we can do is wait.

I see NZ's Minister of Finance is due to make an address on the financial markets this week. I don't know if anyone actually pays attention to him but he mihgt provide some insight to what the new order of commerce is going to look like. Trump, in his presser the other day, stated that by Q4 America will be absolutely pumping. I share this view. Except it depends on what sector you are in as to whether or not you get to share in it or not. Biotech will be the place to be after having been on its knees for at least a decade. Witness the billion dollar deal ALNY has just done overnight.

Just looking at the closing of MSB last week. The last half hour or so. Big spike. Followed by big volume. Somebody always knows something before anyone else.
MSB was where SM decamped to when she walked. So you look at BNTC up 30% in a few days. And MSB up 36% in one day on big volume. Do you think they might be connected?
US markets are open tomorrow. As is the local. Can we expect drama?

Unless something dramatic happens BLT has only three days left as an ASX company. Pretty sad when you think it was CSIRO who stepped in to save it and then re-Australiaified it after the attempt to steal it by management. Seems like it was all for nothing.

However, no sooner than the suspension began BNTC started going up in price. About 30%. Can't be for nothing surely. Somebody always knows something before the rest of us do.

In Auckland yesterday, hundreds of people were seen lining up at supermarkets just so they could eat a meal and feed the kids.

It may not have set in yet in Australia, but if your lockdown is as tight as NZ's, soon you will realize the purpose of your day is to wait in line so you can shop for food. Already the argie bargie has broken out and police have had to attend.

To manage the issue, one supermarket has put a text in service, so you can wait in your car. I tried it yesterday. Two and three quarter hours later I was told its my turn to go shopping. By then, I had driven to six other supermarkets all of which had long lines indicating at least an hours wait. I had given up for the day then got the text.

The lesson learned; go to the premium supermarkets. Lines are shorter because people don't want to pay the extra or can't break the routine.

It is an outrageous situation when community spread is at just 2% of total infections. This is nothing more than a social experiment if it isn't an extreme overreaction. But when you are on the wrong end of the Big Brother megaphone, what can you do?

People can see through the farce. As if you are going to keep people and their kids away from a beach at Easter.

About 1200 infections so far in NZ. ONLY 2% through community spread. All others except for a 13% unknown source are overseas travel related. Thats 24 people. All of whom have most likely recovered. As you do when you have a nasty bug after staying at home, in bed, for a week. Even with no precautions, would numbers ten times this be so bad?

Worth destroying the economy for? Of course there is no ulterior motive like stripping away resistance to social and economic reform.
