And its happy 250th Birthday to Ludwig van Beethoven.

This you tube has a young nine year old Dutch girl singing Opera.
Quite amazing voice. Just skip over the intro stuff till you get to her singing. Brought tears to me eyes. Talent mick -------------------- sent from my Olivetti Typewriter.

I don't give much for Andre Rieu's showmanship; but in this piece, he stays very much in the background and leaves the stage to a 13-year old girl. The first and third movements are written from the perspective of a parent who has lost a child, and the second movement from that of a child separated from a parent. |
