G'day Vero , and welcome.

You would seem to know your way around trading, and to have a sense of humour. Both traits are valuable and welcome.

Hope you enjoy your trading and your experience here at SS. smile.gif

Cheers

Hello forumites

I am new to the forum. I don't join forums easily, but I enjoyed the few posts I read on this one and I like the way its been structured - good job Share Scene.

I have been day trading equities for almost two years now and have loved and hated it. I recently placed a few ETO trades as well.
I use technicals so am not concerned about which share I trade and have traded many of which I had no clue what the name of the company was.

The loneliness of day trading made me sign up for a couple of days a week of volunteer English tutoring, but it seems that when I am out teaching the market has a wobbly, and it seems like my absence has caused havoc this week. Some analysts have blamed it on the catastrophe in Japan, so I guess I don't need to take all the blame. weirdsmiley.gif

I look forward to participating in the discussion and hope I am able to contribute.

See you around!

HI all

Another newbie to Sharescene. Not new to investing in shares but lots to learn.
Have survived on a mixture of good advice, reasonable instincts and no doubt some good luck to date - but probably need to get a bit more scientific at some point to do this properly. Looks like some experienced minds I can pick the brains of on this forum.

Currently been holding a portfolio of about 8 blue chips since pre GFC, and a few speccies. Have had some good runs recently on ACR, ESG and PEN - hopefully some more ahead for the last two.

Enough about me - i'll sit around and learn a bit of all of you if you don't mind, and contribute where I can.

I'm left deciding what date I'll use to book the capital loss.

Just got to wait for the letter birnham like this one.......
So far the one and only for me in my trading.......More luck than good judgement probably.. V1

In accordance with Section 104.145 of the Income Tax Assessment Act 1997, the Joint Liquidators of the Company declare that we have reasonable grounds to believe that there is no likelihood that shareholders will receive any distribution in the course of the winding up of the Company.

Accordingly, shareholders of the Company may choose to make a capital loss from CGT event G3 happening to their shares in the income year that includes 19 August 2009.
