Hello,
Thank you for sharing your knowledge and findings.

Robert Prechter of Elliott Wave Theorist seems to believe there is still one more minor down and up leg left in the DOW. My own estimation of the top final number is about 22,800 using Elliott Wave.
On the other hand Martin Armstrong seems to believe that there is still a retracement to be experienced before an significant blow off top (really high) is achieved.

Time will reveal all.

Hello,
I have been using an end of day data supplier with whom I am very happy. They are a paid service. Been using them for years. (almax.com.au using the Global Equity Manager for down loads)
I want to now move to intraday data plus end of day data for Global Indicies, ASX, FOREX and EFT.
I am using MultiCharts64, previously used TradeStaton.

Please let me know whom you would recommend as data providers.

Thank you.

The announcement today of what looks like the distribution of exploration funding to the Shareholders looks interesting. It may double the value of the share.

Hello,
This has been quiet for awhile, like me.
I wonder what the capital raising will do to the share price. It has had a noce little rise with acquisitions in the past week or 3.

I would not be inclined to buy at the moment unless it breaks above 1.42, as I expect it to go down to about 1.10 - 1.085

Time will tell.

At this stage I do not give a rat's about Jun 2013. It is the current quarter that concers me.
They have put on public record their Cash on hand & expected cash outlay.
What we need is a better estimate of their expected income.

I susspect the only thing holding their SP up at the moment is the codec ratio to SLR, oh and Mr E. Wave. Who is still expecting the 5th wave up to complete.

From Quarterly Report
Last 3 months Income from Production $22,562,000
Expected Cash out in next 3 months $23,584,000
Cash on hand $10,420,00

Hmmm, If next 3 month income is anything lake last 3 months income this is not the little cash cow I was expecting!

Any other interpretation can be discussed very happily.

Sometimes the power of charting and Elliott Wave astounds me.

My Poar Oct 11, 2011
QUOTE
I expect it to bounce around in this sort of range for a while, 0.12 to maybe 0.40.
So this could be a good traders stock for a time.
With a lower sp before any significant increase. somewhere at or below 0.10
(in fact the expected low according to my one estimation is -0.135 , yes minus!)

If this can bounce off $0.05 it may survive otherwise it could still go to minus!

If some big coal miner wanted to buy it out at 5c they would still be taking on the risk of Africa: union threats, possible government intervention, Black Economic Empowerment (BEE), possible additional taxes and possibly a few ex gratia payments. I consider Africa including South Africa high risk. (ex RSA)

GXY is no longer a mining company. It is really a technology company with a mine. So one has to look at the driver which is now the technology, and that will be driven by market for batteries.

I remember another little Gold company that did a capital raising shortly after pouring its first gold - this may not be a good comparison- its symbol is/was AAM = A1 MINERALS LIMITED! sad.gif
I am disappointed with IGR as I was expecting them to run with the profits, but on the otherhand if they are going to go into underground mining then they will need capital -lots of it.
I await the details of the reasons for this cap raising.

Hello,
I am trying to learn about short selling.
To be more specific: which on-line brokers offer this service with guaranteed stop loss orders and conditional orders. I would want a closing price to be the trigger for a sell or buy the next day.

My other question relates to trading indices or EFT's on a medium term period -a number of weeks.. I previously tried trading the Aust SP200 and was hit with "voluntary costs" which were additional to the overnight interest charges. This sort of made any gain much reduced.

4 The Topic, member posting and the link to the chart/info site to remain on the side bar as one scrolls down the posts in a topic.
5. Make the IM more intuitive - how do you delete old messages?
6. Retain posts with Thanks: - after a prescribed period the posts without Thanks could be deleted and only posts with Thanks could remain making it easier to trace helpful older posts.

I do like the way everything in one topic one is just one thread.

The darling of the market a number of months ago slipped from favour and retraced 71%. The last two days it has been showing signs of resurgence.
The reason no doubt is contained in the 22 page presentation.
Investor Presentation March 2012
This includes Cash and Gold on Hand A$102m
Pouring first gold poured from Mt Magnet in March 2012
100,000oz gold production 2010/2011 targeting 200,000 by 2014
Long term based on Elliott Wave I think it could go up to $2.10,or $2.60,or $2,90
Current Price ~$0.87
Any other opinions or facts on this one?

I have just bought in.

The article "Europe Stock Recovery Adam Hamilton March 16, 2012" is worth a read as it compares the USA and Europe interaction.

But little old Aussie does not get a mention.

I did a comparison of the indicies as seen in the attached chart including the Shanghai Composite and the ASX All Ords. Indesxed from 5 October 2011 - a low point of S&P500.

I think this shows how the little Aussie is caught between the USA and the China tensions.
Now if Europe is going up that helps the USA and the USA going up helps Europe and Europe is one of China's biggest trading partners so this could influence the improvement of China. Hopefully the little old ASX could then get a double boost from USA and China laugh.gif and play catch up ... before the end of May. (Sell in May and stay away.)

My interpretation of ABU chart is that it has now completed a 5 wave impulse down. Therefore we should expect a return to an increase in SP. This could be a double bottom or just a corrective 3 wave movement. One can only hope it will eventuate in a 5 wave impulse up. smile.gif

I looked at the chart and the price seems to have gone a long way from the gravitational attraction of the 200 day moving average.
I would even propose that the attraction to the 200 MA is proportional to the power of the distance from the current share price to the 200 day moving average. blush.gif

Arty and other clever chartists,
I was looking at the chart of the ASX on a monthly basis and I was interested to notice two regions that I thought looked similar, although one is more elongated than the other.
OR was this my imagination?
Could we expect a similar rise or with the future be in the other direction?

How does one invest in such a low volume stock as there is a balance between the cost of investing, i.e. brokerage cost and the liquidity of the stock average volume traded per day.
20% of average volume over last 21 days vs not wanting my broker costs to be more than 2 (or maybe 5%) for a in and out trade. HMMM...

I looks like a bit of resistance is being offered at the moment. November, Dec & Jan could possibly be looked at as a B wave which would make this the culmination of the C wave of the corrective phase. It has exceeded its normal range of trading relative to its 200d moving average. Generally it would allow the moving average to catch up.
I fact on closer examination it has completed a 5 wave move up of a lower order from 24 Nov to now. I would expect a retracement to 1.55 or on a larger view to 1.44 and hopefully to 1.23 which would make a superb point of re-entry.

If this is incorrect then the next likely view is that we could get the 3rd wave going to a high of $1.95.

Now the question I have is:
Is it time to get back into SXY with a breakout under-way or is that dreaded gap going to pull it back down?

How about another 2c drop for the intraday low to achieve 57.5c, and then we start climbing to 79.5c intraday high, may be even higher to 87.9c or even 93.1c intra day highs. smile.gif
Well one can only wish upon an Elliott Wave!

Depends on how fast they go up to my target to make me happy before they acceletate down to your target to make you happy. I hope that downward journey, when it occurs knows it has to stop at "the gap" blush.gif

Saw your post last night but was too tired to reply.
This is what I expect from GXY in the next while. Some chop in the Elliott Wave 4 and then up to an intraday high of $1.165. Dates and limes indicated by my lines on chart are not expected to reflect actual timings.

Well, my first target of 0.88 has been exceeded. So we do not have a corrective wave but an impulse wave - we have exceeded the previous high 0.87 "1" on my chart.
The next 2 targets are 1.00(138%) or 1.07 (1.81%). There is a Fibonacci level of 38% at 1.04 so this is a possibility.

Now the gaps could come into play to be covered some time in the future. There is a gap of 0.865 to 0.91. So the lowest gap filler could be 0.87, a wave 4 possibility. So from this I deduce that the minimum expected high in this 3rd wave 1.055 and a final wave 5 high of 1.18. I would think this is the worst case scenario. We have not exceeded the relative 200 day value of 1.35 which I estimate as the start of the sell zone.

Excuse me if I interrupt this private conversation to add something about a subject that is close to my POCKET!

The Elliott Wave analysis suggests that the first level to overcome is $0.88, then on to $$1.00 or up to $1.07 ( most probably $1.04), then a slight pull pack befor going up further to about .. hmmm maybe at the utmost $1.34 to $1.38, most probably something like $1.20.
Beware these are intraday highs.
The other caveat is that once I open my mouth the market can and sometimes does decide on the exact opposite!

See chart.

Thanks Arty for the great but simple tip.

A simple, but effective protection mechanism I use:
Each Broker and Bank that I'm dealing with is issued their unique email address. As I have my own Domain, I can assign scores of addresses without extra costs. Not everybody may be as lucky, but probably most, if not all, will have an ISP that lets them create at least 5 different email addresses; rather than assigning one to each family member, consider setting at least one aside for "secure" sources. I have found that none of the codes assigned to bank/ broker/ ATO emails have been compromised. But the ones I use when I communicate with friends or news services are attracting a lot of "outside interest".

But thanks all the same for the lead.

I agree with Arty it may be wise to wait for a new low, maybe even the second new low low in the region of ? sub 3?

Here is a chart.
My interpretation of the Elliott Wave is that it has reached the bottom of a 5th wave and has just started to go up.
The chart of the Relative price to the 200 dy moving average shows it is a low point where previously it has bounce upward.
My TMF is tending up which is indicative of an improving share price but it is still below zero.
MACD has not turned positive yet.
Volume is not exceptional.
So HZN is possibly at the start of a corrective wave up.

This is not to be taken as any recommendation just my ramblings.

Hello,
Well I did not get today's move right but here are my charts and it looks like we have a little way to go down on the DOW, XOA and maybe the SP500.
Although the SP500 was only above the target by 6 points on Thursday.
The XAO still has 72 points to slide to get to the target.
(The DOW chart - points 1 to 4 were in agreement with David Hunt's interpretation on 22 August 2011)

My TA using Elliot Wave suggests that the S&P 500 reached it's 5.th wave low this past Thursday.
The XAO still needs to come down a little before making it's 5th wave low. So the soft opening this morning is expected.
Once we have made that low we can then resin the follower & go up. I would expect this once the American futures open & on a positive.

Today's updates.
I missed the turn on ASX by 2.25% of the drop from 4717 to anticipated 3809. Feel OK about bounce from this level. Updated 4th wave as I had used the wrong leg as its basis. 4th leg often has a wedging pattern in it. Still expect 5th leg down after that. to ~3608 level.

Dow has overshot the 161.8% level. That is ok and can rally to 4th leg from there but could also keep going to 261.8% level before ralling up. See chart. So lelect your ending. Again I would expect a wedging pattern in 4th leg up before it breaks to downside to complete 5 th leg ending about 10,438 or 9530.

NOTE: I have not taken timing into account when drawing in future lines, SO DONT HOLD Me TO ANY TIMING. Don't hold me to any prices either rolleyes.gif .

Here is an interesting article(s) on stop-loss

Stop-Loss Orders: Help or Hindrance? [Part 1 of 3]

By Dr. Bruce Vanstone

In this series of articles, I would like to demonstrate the mismatch that stops appear to introduce, and show you a way to be able to test this for yourself. This article is part 1 of a 3-part series. In this article, I will introduce an example system, and demonstrate how to benchmark the system with and without a variety of stops, and statistically analyse the results.

http://www.incrediblecharts.com/trading/st...s-trading-1.php
Makes you think does it not?

Happy reading.

So what alternatives for helping set your stop loss triggers are there?
An alternative is "Setting Protective Stops Using Elliott Wave" http://www.online-stock-trading-guide.com/...liott-wave.html

Iam sure there are other alternatives as well.

I. Subscribe to his publication but keep my own very watchful eye on the technical analysis, which ione has to as one cannot wait for a stoploss of this sort of magnitude.
I have no problem going from buy to sell as that is what my system of operation does.
One needs to understand the market, the writers of publications and also TA. TA being very important.

Well, the market answered my question short and sharp.
Revised estimates are :
1 we have seen a bottom at 0.037
2 we could go on down to 0.033
3 we could go down to an even lower figure of 0.030
4 with a back up low of 0.024!! puke.gif

This could reach the low on or about 29 August 2011

Which ever it looks like a bit of up and down for a while before getting direction is my opinion.

THIS IS NOT ADVICE only my own ramblings.

It looks like we are into the gap filling from the D&D jump on 14 July 2010. We may even get down to 0.0465!

"And then" you ask? Well, a little up I hope to some exorbitant height like 0.05!!! if we are in an impulse down.. If we are only in a correction then the up would be good. But I am not holding much hope that we are in a correction, rather I think we are in the impulse down. grrr.gif with a bottom of? 0.0407.

Maybe.
The purists say that the closing price of the top of the 1st wave should not transgress into the closing price range of the 4th wave. If this happens then it is not an impulse. We are now well below the close of the high in September 2009, which is what I think you may be taking as the end of wave 1?

My guess (estimation) is that 0.275 is the completion of a 5th wave down inside a 3rd wave (a(o.505) b (0.33) c(0.275)) correction down.
If the upswing is to be an impluse we will need to break through the close 0.355 at the 0.33 low, if we do not then we will be looking at a triangulation forming as the 4 th wave and then a break to the downside

Mr E. Wave suggested to me late on Friday to put in a bid at 0.275 as that should be the low and the turning point. Well today there was ONE odrer traded at this value king.gif ! So if Mr Elliot Wave is correct then I am going to have to squabble with the rest of you out there to get the remainder of my order filled unless you are feeling generous and allow me first go before the rise happens hypocrite.gif !

I willl be watching with breath held tightly in lungs to see how it unfolds tomorrow.

Oh, by the way Mr Inside Trader is also indicating an upswing is possible. (see www.insidetrader.com for further details)

A quick look at the chart and I would think from Elliott Wave principals it is very close to a good time to sell after the next high IF the next high(daily) does not go above the high on 13 May. The fast MACD will also turn down not having achieved a higher high in this case.

Arty what says your excellent charting analysis?

For very good commentary see the essays on www.zealllc.com . A little sentance in his second last silver essay caught my attention. The essence is that after a near crash like we are experiencing it takes a year for the confidence to be re-established in the silver market.

I will watch this one carefully as i know a popular recommender had something to say about it recently.

Yes, i agree that emotion is to be taken out, do not buy on falling stocks, find the trend up before buying, short if you like with the trend falling.

Oh, I forgot to say I do not hold these at the moment, as I am waiting for my buy signal. (and keeping in mind the market may continue to fall until September) wacko.gif

Possible support at 0.704, 0.638, or 0.565. from Fibonacci levels based on 2 different sets of points.

I like the idea of trend reversal before adding, remembering the trend reversal is usually followed by a dip down to not quite the previous low before the real appreciation sets in.

Well, using Elliott Wave I had calculated that the high should have been 0.572 and it reached 0.570 on Friday. I looked at it and thought do I sell on just the estimation of Elliott Wave? Naahhh, who said it could not overrun the estimate, and if it comes down it usually just rolls over a bit in the 1 st day anyway, I'll wait ......

Well it rolled over the precipice! down 17.43% grrr.gif

The long awaited BFS was released and Mrs Market (as Arty fondly refers to the stock market) decided it was a good day to dump puke.gif . The low is just on the support trend line.

So where to from here? Do we get a recovery SP increase from the over reaction? Do we accumulate on weakness?

Those with wisdom of watching the release of BFS's can you tell of any general trend of SP's after release of BFS's?

It need to have a close above 0.30 to indicate an intention to contiue up. If it starts to retreat from 0.3 or below it may indicate it needs to complete the 5th leg down before a reversal in fortunes.

Ah ha, Read my post today and there is a 2 for 1 consolidation. So that with the previous SP means that 2 shares at 0.115*2 = 0.23, BUT the placement is at 0.20! therefore a loss of 3/23*100 percent = 13% . Hmmmm grrr.gif

They last traded at $0.115.

So what will the price do on re-opening which is expected on 16 May 2011?

Any clever person out there that understands the hapennings in this company and is willing to explain it more suscinctly that the replacement prospectus issued on 05/05/2011?

Well if we follow the Elliott Wave we should now have turned for an upleg going up to 0.445, Fibinacci suggests 0.442. Oh well what about sort of near 0.44! to complete wave 3.

Any other guesses from those out there?

Looking back at my post is scarry! We reached 0.475 on 19 Jan! We had a drop to 0.36 and then the little up and then we dropped lower than I expected to 0.30 (I anticipated only 0.34). I must say the drop to 0.3 was a very long spike down the one day - the close was 0.34.

My charting indicates it is worth keeping a eye on it to re-enter. May be we will then see the 0.545 to 0.575 levels I suggested in my previous posts.

Sorry no chart but I do find it difficult to convert my charts to a format to display in here.

This stock came up close to the top for producers and developers of my analysis using the Goldnerds spreadsheet. "Formerly Kings Minerals (KMN). Completed a business combination with San Anton Resource Corp in Sep 2010." They have also completed the acquisition of the Namiquipa Silver Project 11 Mar 2011.

So the 2 year chart may not be immediately relevant as it is in effect a new company. A closer look at the detils of the company and the Chart's more recent history may be more illuminating. My analysis of the Goldnerds' information and my current charting system has caused me to commit to this stock (a public announcement like this that I have done this in previous occasions usually leads to an immediate SP downturn - so beware!)

Oh by the way Goldnerds also helped me identify RMS awhile ago rolleyes.gif .

Announcement today
"
The Roka Phasha community, with NKWE Limited’s major shareholder
Genorah Resources as the economic partner, have been awarded the rights
to the farm Eerste Geluk 327KT (effectively returning NKWE with its previous
64% interest in the farm),
• Of the two farms set aside, Eerste Geluk is the primary farm, having the most
accessible PGM resources at the shallowest depth and approximately 80% of
the JORC resources that were previously ‘set aside’,
• The issuing of the key Eerste Geluk rights will now trigger the
recommencement of trading of Nkwe shares on ASX.
"

NKP reinstated.

I do not see any reason for it to go below its previous low of 0.40 (according to my friend Elliott). I think there is major support in the 0.36 to 0.38 area.

Let the trading commence. laugh.gif

My estimates were based on a fibinacci levels 0.42 & 0.365 and an elliott wave charting (Primary down to 0.41, intermediate, primary and minute down to 0.45.)
Bear in mind we are having a retacement/correction in the market & gold. We are in March which is a down month for gold seasonals http://www.zealllc.com/2009/goldseas4.htm

So I do not expect much ralling from this until April when we typically have a gold seasonal rally. (see above article from Zeal llc)

Ladies and Gentlemen,
We all at stages like to make little comments, funny or frustrated, but most of us readers would like to see a predominance of information being shared; be this fundamental, technical or straight fact, especially before the rest of the media get to publish anything.

My system has given ME (only me) a suggested buy signal. So I will watch this to see when the SP goes above the high of .565 of the 3/3/2011. This may give a rise is sp of 0.12 from today's low or the low in the next few days with the constraint the low must not go below the low of 0.49 of the 2/3/2011. Typically I would expect the low to be about 0.52.

Then a gain we may just be in a trading pattern?

Can it break through the ~$3.00 resistance?
It may have to retreat and gather some momentum first. It could retace about 50% to 78% of the leg up from 2.26 to 3.05.
So it could go low to 2.65 or a bit lower, before going up again. On the other hand it may just power on through.

Any wisdom on this one?

The BSM sp is now looking to the highs of Sep 2007.
Currently the there are
83 buyers for 3559817 units

24 sellers for 670205 units
This nearly looks like the kind of ratio at the beginning of a D&D rally?

Expected Fibonacci levels for the highs could be $0.45, $0.475, $0.54

I was interested to see the extent of the USofA debt.

02/08/2011
Debt Held by the Public 9,471,150,634,328.07
Intragovernmental Holdings 4,639,270,175,734.21
Total Public Debt Outstanding 14,110,420,810,062.28 lmaosmiley.gif
Current population - 310,300,000 in late 2010
This means that for every American they are only indebt to the tune of US$45,473.48 each.

Now if you would like to contribute to requce this debt see below.
Below is no joke, but I found it very funny.

http://www.treasurydirect.gov/govt/resourc...htm#DebtFinance

Financing the Debt

Why does the debt sometimes decrease?
The Public Debt Outstanding decreases when there are more redemptions of Treasury securities than there are issues.

How do you make a contribution to reduce the debt?
There are two ways for you to make a contribution to reduce the debt:

  • You can make a contribution online either by credit card, checking or savings account at Pay.gov
  • You can write a check payable to the Bureau of the Public Debt, and in the memo section, notate that it's a Gift to reduce the Debt Held by the Public. Mail your check to:

    Attn Dept G
    Bureau of the Public Debt
    P. O. Box 2188
    Parkersburg, WV 26106-2188
Note: The Bureau of the Public Debt's Office of Public Debt Accounting maintains this FAQ. Keep in mind that these questions may not fit all situations and are only intended as a guideline.

World Population 6903102100
Well if every living person in the world contributed only US$2,044.07 we could get them out of debt.

Sorry but by now their debt would have increased. So please pay more!!!!!

A slight correction may be in order.

SVL is:
QUOTE
Silver Mines Ltd (SVL) is a silver (Ag) explorer that is primarily focused on exploring and developing its silver-rich polymetallic assets in the New England region of northern New South Wales (NSW), Australia. The company’s strategy is to rapidly develop its flagship Webbs Silver Project and, in doing so, earn a near-term cash flow to support further exploration of the company’s tenements.

Not to be confused with SLV which is Sylvania.
QUOTE
Sylvania Resources Limited (Sylvania) is a fast-growing platinum group metals (PGM) producer with tailings retreatment operations and shallow mining exploration interests located on South Africa’s PGM-rich Bushveld Igneous Complex

I hope this clears things up.

The other silver stock is AYN.

My old favourite Elliott Wave suggested that the 3rd wave would go to 0.95. Well it reached 0.945 today as a high. Now the question is does that qualify as the top of the 3rd wave? The closest Fibinacci is at 0.965. I wonder can it make that target the top? Let's see what tomorrow will bring?

Looks like IGR has reached the Fibbinaci retracement at 50% looks like $0.49 from your chart. This is way lower than Elliott Wave was forcasting.
Volume is nearly double the average.

My Elliott Wave calculation shows the S&P500 having just overshot the 5th wave target of 1291.35.

The ASX is usually al little behind and peaks later.

I would not expect the US markets to advance anymore.

But rather to start a correction that a number of the analysts have refered to.

Hmm, looks like this ha turned into a 5 wave down - using Elliott Wave .

My previous estimate of $0.577 looks like it could be reached. Tomorrow 19/01/2011 is a significant date based on the low of 28/10/2010 (not 15th as per my previous post).

Looking at the Buyers on the Market Depth there are an increased amount at 0.57 and 0.58.

If this level does not hold then the next support I see is at 0.495!!! So get buying at 0.57 and stop the rot!!

Well we reached 0.465 on the 5th January and have drifted lower. So I am taking this as the top of the 3rd leg. Fairly close to the 0.47 calculated below.

So now we drop to 0.385 a little bounce up and then down to 0.34 which are Fibinacci levels or 0.358 different Fibinacc base.

Arty, Do your indicators show selling signs?

Good decicion to those who sold.

I should have worked it out before, the fist drop was from .765 to .67 = 0.095
The second correction in a 3 wave correction should be equal, which would bring us to 0.635, which is the closing price today. BUT we should always work to the extremes & the low was 0.61! But IGR has a tendancy to over run as we have seen from the past calculations. If this is not the case then we may be in for a 5 wave down and the third wave down would be a drop of 0.154 which would take us to 0.576. Yikes! This matches with the Fibinacci at 0.577.

So if you did not follow your sell signals already start writing out 1000 times: "I must trade according to my plan and signals."

I must trade according to my plan and signals.
I must trade according to my plan and signals.
I must trade according to my plan and signals.
I must trade according to my plan and signals.
I must trade according to my plan and signals.
