Just released an update today, but I think it's tottering on the brink with about 38% gone now . .

In my view, which counts for nil, this is an extremely deceitful offer, not surprisingly coming from whom it does. Aspect Huntley neatly summarises the position thus . . Event No change to Premiers (PMV) base offer of $2.095 cash and 0.25 PMV per JST share. This offer is conditional to obtaining over 50% of acceptances and the ASX 200 not falling below 4600. This offer closes on August 7. PMV will increase the cash component of the offer by 15 cps if it increases its relevant interest to at least 90% by 7pm August 6. If PMV receives over 50% of acceptance up to seven days before August 6 then this premium offer will be extended 14 days from the day it exceeds 50%. Impact It is very unlikely PMV will receive over 90% of JST shareholder acceptances without JST board approval for the offer. At today’s market prices, the 90% plus offer, represents $4.02 per share. The revised independent report suggests a value in the range of $4.54-$5.02. It is therefore unlikely the board will approve this offer. This move by PMV further complicates and confuses the bid which may sway retail investors to accept and so enable the Lew camp to get its target of 50% plus control. Recommendation Impact (Last Updated: 20080724) We continue to see value in the JST business up to $4.30 and suggest recent share price weakness represents a great buying opportunity. Hmm - I get a vague impression that alonso loves this stock  And at long last, I might go along and set an alert. The volume spike ("volume precedes price") on Feb 19 was the first signal. MACD Divergence looks Bullish, and up to March 31 a nice round bottom has been forming. Since then, volume has increased significantly, so has the price. A break above 4.27 resistance would guarantee us a HL-HH sequence. PS: Be aware there is a takeover bid pending. At first glance, it seems pretty opportunistic, if not "predatory". Read what's been offered and how JST Board has reacted, before making a decision. DYOR

Don't like the way this is hovering in the 4.teens. All the comment I've seen has it that the true value is up towards $5 but there's no evidence of buying in expectation of a rising bid.
Obviuosly the true value of anything is what you can sell it for.
