A few from Bull .com today , looks as though these stocks have been beaten around a bit so might be worthy of going on your watch list for any recovery.

Any thoughts with AJX , looking like a possible breakout from here , they held a shareholder only meeting last Thursday night , could be the reason for the spike . Seems to be pumped over the road which tends to put me off. No position held . Daily chart attached . sorry about the double take.

All of the PELs were acquired from Lawndale Pty Limited (Lawndale), a company controlled by Andrew Purcell, a non-executive director of AJ Lucas. Lawndale in turn acquired the PELs from Dart Energy Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Igas PLC, incorporated in the United Kingdom. Santos Limited currently has a 15% interest in PEL456, but has elected to earn a further 35% interest through an existing farm-in arrangement, which once completed will increase its interest to 50%. The balance of the equity interest in the PELs will be retained by Lawndale. Santos is the operator of PEL456 while PEL445 and PEL458 will be operated by Lucas or its nominee.

Just a stab in the dark arty, nipper , with Qtr reports due just thought news of a rollout would be on the cards by Jan 30th.
Been accumulating a few over the Xmas break and bought another parcel yesterday which inspired me to post.
Looking like a good deal with Foster's brining on board American investors .

Good stock to accumulate at these prices if your in for a long, LNG plants to fire up next year with reports of a supply shortage .
still could fall more as still looking a falling knife ,

On the other side of the coin
could be a quick trade in it for you with the gap in share price at .37 to .395 if we get a turnaround , SXY usually fills it's gaps'

just a story

After my 6 year biggest investment ever with WCL and just scrapping in with a profit ( still glad it was a profit and still feel for others who have incurred a loss )

Have a constant reminder now , after losing job and company vehicle had to go and purchase a 2nd hand vehicle
So I end up picking up an a Ex - Arrow Energy vehicle , the bull bar has a Westside sticker much like the ARB one on the opposite side .
( 4X4 work by Westside Off Road but sticker just says Westside )
Picked it up in Qld , un registered at time and knew none of the above before checking it out
So drive it back to NSW for blue slip check and go to registry for new plates,
Ask and pay for the white ones , bloke drops them down in front of us , the plates numbers are CSG -XX-X won't disclose full plate but you can see what I'm getting at.
whether the vehicle is any good , well I really haven't driven it much but does come with a roll bar just in case I get caught in any rallies near Lismore weirdsmiley.gif
What's the odds on that or am I just Doomed ?
Held AOE as well

Thanks for your reply PeterH,
Like I said it's a gamble at present , right now I would have a sizeable CGT loss if I sold now.
But I know what my loss will be , sell now can have access to the cash straight up and either bank it or move into some other stock.
For sure if the deal falls thru Dart's share price will drop and to what price is the next unknown. My already sizable CGT loss increases
If I Hold and get igas shares which going from their chart , from a high of 140 to 102 pence today , definitely in a downtrend and at what price we get these shares is the another unknown.
Which I guess brings us to this point of time now where the Independent Expert has had to issue another review which we now states the scheme is unfair to Dart shareholders but remains reasonable .
To me it's just saying your getting shafted but accept .
now If I accept I have to wait till the 1st October 2014 before my igas shares admitted to AIM for trading , I know nothing about igas only that their share price in decline and really dozen't inspire atm. OK I'm now a shareholder of igas and in with a chance of sharing some spoils after setting up four accounts. Why have igas shares been declining ? What if the market corrects between acceptance and admission to AIM
This is the mess we all face.
The way I see we are already getting bought out cheap. Not Fair to Shareholders but remains reasonable
Yer right
this is where we differ and our Board put us in this current mess

I can offset some CGT losses atm, but yes would rather be paying tax
.

Catholic Hairdryer

In parochial school, students are taught that lying is a sin. However, instructors also advise that using a bit of imagination is OK to express the truth differently without lying. Below is a perfect example of those teachings:

Getting a Hairdryer Through Customs.

A young woman on a flight from Ireland asked the Priest beside her, 'Father, may I ask a favour?'

'Of course, child. What may I do for you?'

'Well, I bought my mother an expensive hair dryer for her birthday. It is unopened but well over the Customs limits and I'm afraid they'll confiscate it. Is there any way you could carry it through Customs for me? Hide it under your robes perhaps?'

'I would love to help you, dear, but I must warn you, I will not lie.'

'With your honest face, Father, no one will question you.'

When they got to Customs, she let the priest go first. The official asked, 'Father, do you have anything to declare?'

'From the top of my head down to my waist I have nothing to declare.'

The official thought this answer strange, so asked, 'And what do you have to declare from your waist to the floor?'

'I have a marvelous instrument designed to be used on a woman, but which is, to date, unused.'

Roaring with laughter, the official said, 'Go ahead, Father. Next please!'

That's the gamble , will the No vote get over the line and what happens next . Must admit of being slack with the whole deal as was intending to take a loss but the last recommendation with the Independent Expert declaring the scheme Unfair to Dart
Shareholders
and still recommend we accept just get's up my goat.
How many Mum & Dad investors have dumped already , not wanting to setup a overseas broking account, I for one would have to setup 4 accounts as I invested for the long term shares in Dart for my 3 sons as well . Whether to cut the loss as I intended ?
Meanwhile the buy side keeps decreasing , now at .125 , why bother I guess , But ............
what's the next stop if the scheme fails , Share price drops by half and No Hope/ whoever make a Takeover offer after forcing the price down to yet another low then offer a 40% increase in share price to get them Home .

Probably making no sense as crikey 3.30am now , the whole deal just a mess where I guess they want it to be.
So is the offer reasonable then ?

This has to be a joke , talk about contradict themselves . Vote NO !!

The Independent Expert has concluded that the Scheme is not fair to Dart shareholders but

remains reasonable, and considers the Scheme is still in the best interests of Dart

shareholders.

The Dart Board continues to unanimously recommend that Dart shareholders vote in favour

of the Scheme in the absence of a superior proposal.

The Scheme Meeting has been postponed to 9.30am (AEST) on Wednesday, 10 September

Oh exactly triage , in the old days management would have been all over it . Was looking at the how to vote section , see that if you attend in person , Gentlemen are required to wear smart Business attire - jacket and tie are optional . Denim ,shorts, polo shirts , tee shirts and sports wear of any nature is considered unsuitable.

my wife comes straight out and announces that old saying ,what mutton dressed like lamb.
pretty well sums up my status. weirdsmiley.gif

Guess I should have added to my post on the Scheme Consideration is that ASX market not mildly interested to purchase at A$.18

Hence the low ball price of A$.135 likely to remain .

No premium if you were trying to bail now was what I was trying to get at.

Going on the Scheme Consideration representing a significant premium as of 8th May 2014 , what bloody premium now? On the date the scheme was announced 9th May 2014 the scheme consideration had an implied value of A$ .1898

40.6% over the closing price of Dart shares on ASX on 8th May 2014 , being A$ .135

Current share price A$.135

Go figure how this Scheme is in the best interests of Shareholders , just another case of yet another Australian Board rolling over and unwilling to get out of Bed ...............this time with Igas.

Exactly Barra, know the GSA is in place , but can't not keep thinking Petro in the background . Mungi next door and LNG keep renewing their lease at Fisherman's .

Took my 3 sons ,( just token holdings ) down to our regional Post Office and posted off their acceptance, later got wife to check with Westpac , now saying to do Monday as the transaction needs to be approved , no mention of this before , just no worries we can do it on Tuesday , Christ sake just one drama to the next .

Now will travel to Coffs on Monday as they guaranteed next day delivery , Express Post.

Yes Wolf , since been advise payment will be within 3 weeks if not extended and 4 weeks if extended. Your spot on there. Should have done it , bit like death I guess , grasping last breath.

This is the best part with being a member of SS , I pretty well operate alone ,Having other members invaluable advice when pacing the floors going what the Heck.

Bloody cruel share it has been to say the least, anyway it's over and we can move on.

Best to all , now where's my drink, been a rollercoaster

I'll be doing the same , will have to post .

Can't see any other option at this point of time , if on the slight chance a counter bid arises L/B will have to match.

Disappointing result and what no secure timeframe for payment , was just retrench from my job Monday.

My thoughts go out to shareholders in the red with their holdings .

Strange how LNG just keep holding in there with regards to Fisherman's Landing seeing Petro bailed out , yet LB have nothing to do with Petro ? MPO assets next store , what owned by Petro now

http://stocknessmonster.com/news-item?S=LN...SX&N=682335

Our former directors parted for their own benefit , alas AK and NM, what suppling LNG to outback majors by trucks ..transporting LNG to replace diesel generation, building the gas plants to generate , AK CEO.

They needed the cash to fund their next fortune , well maybe one, with no respect for the shareholders that supported them in the first place.

Don't remember getting on the ground floor , or being asked to be part of their new venture as a WCL shareholder.

What paybacks were given to sell with benefits ? , no doubt a tax loss for them , but for the working man a major Loss, no wonder I always give to the Salvo's just in case .

Quite a bit of buying at the 40.5 mark today which was encouraging

like everyone else , what a low ball bid from LB and who gave us this start price , no guessing there ,

To think I went to the AGM's,

Other members that can paste and copy AK and NM lasted venture please do , as I have lost the link , but is out there.

Like most shareholders am impress by the new management , but crikey we have taken crap for too long

Engage or Deliver quickly to get fair value for shareholders.

Phones have been running hot of late .

Don't really think the long term shareholders would been too happy had the board taken yet another " Indicative Proposal " from the Chinese seriously .............. quick movers as we all know.

Anyhow glad they went public , least it should have put a base around the 36 cent mark , any other company it would have been there today , no thanks to Petrochina for their bleed them to death Proposal last year .

Still , share price up and am grateful that they have stirred the pot , might help to make some sort of urgency with the pending GSA or as you suggest , flush out another suitor .

Can only bloody hope it does .

Good luck to us all.

Why wouldn't they veeone , LNG have been petrochina puppet, they were in shock just like us after the non event , no mateship there , just b/s
have to remember that Curtis Island need more ramp up gas , that's it in a nutshell . Full steam ahead if you check STO last preso
What happens to petro take on MPO ground next door ?
Who will monetise LNG stake ?
games still being played here, don't take much to hold the sp down if you have the funds .

Can't recall blaming anyone in my last post , sure the rose coloured glasses were on like most here .
just was putting it out there what shareholders think our next move should be .

GSA or wait for our "strategic parties " to lob a bid .
This is what's we are being informed by management at this moment, take a guess

another thought , could ala Petro/ LNG do some sort of sweetener for WCL with the Mungi field adjacent in return for a GSA ?

We need to increase production to show the market Meridian is sustainable

Which way will WCL play it ?

Are they best to hold onto their uncommitted gas for a potential suitor as they have stated that other " strategic parties " are continuing their due investigation of the company with the objective of developing proposals for consideration by the Westside board , or go a GSA with LNG
ala Petrochina once again .

Now let's not forget that this saga started Feb 2012 with a non binding acquisition proposal from LNG in Feb 2012 which was canned and then followed by yet wait for it an other non binding acquisition proposal by the now named Petrochina in November 2012 , only to be axed as we all know May 2013 .

16 months or ONE YEAR , FOUR Months .

For us Funnymentalists our trading capital tied up , waiting for what most of us thought was a sure bet , surely after so much due diligence the bid would become binding .

Not the case

This quote from the Matt Chambers from the Australian

QUOTE
Westside would now look at other options for Westside's gas , but in the current environment it would focus on already approved LNG plants that need gas for domestic needs , he said .

Not being in a management position and not knowing if I would be shooting myself in the foot , what after 16 months of being jerked , I would tell them to go to buggery.
Otherwise it would have to be one hell of a good GSA deal to be put to the table .

Or do we wait for the for the " strategic parties " to lodge their proposals .

This from John McCarthy of the Courier Mail , Brisbane
QUOTE
Westside's attraction is the 680 petajoules of proved and probable gas reserves just 160km from the Gladstone export terminals .Most of that gas is uncommitted

Well I guess we shall soon see if the " strategic parties " are for real or LNG / ala Petro get their GSA

from my last post , just about sums what I'm thinking atm , damm

QUOTE
Discussions with interested parties remain active and will
continue to be progressed as a matter of priority following the withdrawal of
PetroChina. Other strategic parties are continuing their due diligence
investigation of the company with the objective of developing proposals for
consideration by the WestSide Board, but there is no certainty that an offer
acceptable to the Board will eventuate.

how much due diligence can one company take , are any investors going to take it seriously after two takeover offers ??

I agree with Barra , let's hope our company get's in boots and all and get production up for 2015 and for our other " strategic parties " to consider.

Disappointing outcome for our board and shareholders to say the least.

Totally agree Barra , the package is all there

just lost for words on the progress to date on this bloody long Takeover deal ????,

LNG stating that they will satisfy Gladstone Port Corp is the next glimmer of hope that WCL is still in the mix IMO , but who knows , See Shell might be pulling the pin on their JV LNG plant , maybe Arrow might be able supply Fishermans Landing thru a GSA, seems to me Gladstone Port Corp fairly relaxed with their time extensions ,so might just need a promise.

But here we go again at guessing what's next

Mungi Field next door , Meridian basically a turn key operation , Metgasco out of the picture, LNG need gas , lousy sp ,

Had the first t/o deal not surfaced , yes we may have seen $1.00 , now we are in the mist of the greens , as they say " timing is everything ".

Will leave it at that as I feel like I'm bitching now , but how much patience can us 2000+ shareholders take , will we have to wait for the next Qtrly ? Wish I could tell my clients I'll get back to you " in the near term " , which appears near term is approx = to a Qtr

X 2 or 3 , maybe 4 , who bloody knows

well , on that note I better go crack one .
These are just my ramblings , let's hope the deal is next week !!

From LNG's Qtrly released today

Based on the continuing support of HQC and the CNPC Group and progress on gas supply from a

third party, the Company has reasonable prospects that it can satisfy the Gladstone Ports

Corporation Limited's requirements by no later than 30 June 2013.

Whilst the Company has a Memorandum of Understanding with Metgasco Limited to evaluate

potential gas supply to the Fisherman’s Landing LNG project, given Metgasco’s recent announcement

to suspend their Clarence Moreton exploration and development program, the timing of available

gas to the Company’s Fisherman’s Landing LNG Project remains uncertain.

Pretty damm good result Bermuda ,

HIGHLIGHTS:

• 68 feet thick - hydrocarbon-bearing sand in one zone of interest encountered, including 48 foot oil sand based on log interpretation.

• Three other potential pay zones intersected and to be assessed for development in other areas.

• Well currently being prepared for production

• Pay zone is extension of previously encountered oil sand

• Company to investigate probable follow up opportunities across the Allen Dome area to test the sand.

Boys seem pretty excited about the thickness of the sand bearing oil producing high gravity light oil ( texas tea , Ha Ha j and black in this zone which has never been encountered this thick before on the dome .
Never made TD due to pressure kick , oh my what could be below it , anyhow seems they made the right decision to call it a day , money in the bank now.

Sure beats a bloody duster !!

Living in the Northern Rivers have seen the gang in action , well Thornbill 04 location sign posted visible from highway .
I went for a look , wouldn't call the land prime , fairly scrubby and not rich grazing country .

Doing the landholder a favour IMO , only see it as I see it , I'm no farmer but have lived in area over 30 years and have some idea of what's hot and what's not .

If they would have done the Company review on MEL in Jan 2012 instead of Dec 2012 they still would have got the same result .
Thornbill 04 their first drill since back then . so no real change there.

The way I see it , since MIE coming onboard the sp has increased , only have to check the chart and in their winter.
Have lossed quite some myself with options.

Best to refocus on why you invested in the first place and look for a buying opp , or cut it loose .

Could this get played out for the spp shares which were alloted 17th April 2012 to reached their 1 year old status , quite a saving tax wise to be had for the larger holders .

Just like the bullshit deadline , could see that a mile off.
So close to Xmas , these guys are on holidays .
I'm back to work on the 7th , my management back on the 14th
take your own guess

LNG don't have to come up with the goods now till June by memory, master or deferral

the deal was never going to happen over this period , it was always an extension of time.

Hi flower ,
Suppose I should have pointed out that my takeover theory a long term one.
Seems to me we are playing with a different ball since MIE' s arrival and with 51% control of the company they are.
Thanks for your thoughts , plenty happening as you pointed out.

rather a large Cross trade yesterday with 13.5 mill being exchanged @ 12.5
bots were working on it all day long @ 13

can understand the disapointment of SEHOC holders after coming so close for them to come into play.
I agree with a couple of others here , this looks like a takeover company in the making , normally most winters in China have seen a low sp .
Since MIE came on board , now owns 51%, guns blazing to keep drilling going thru the winter
Would have this been the case without them ?

Good for us holders and well done management.
Must admit gottsy I was wonderiing what control meant / was all about in the last trading halt , was a relief with them annoucing 100% ownership of Cockatoo Island .

They did say it was in the shareholders best interest to keep the play intact over the last 9 months and no apoligies there, nothing really what we all know and have endured . Of course they said it was not LNG bidding now .

Angus Karroll was pretty well straight to the point of saying nothing , I mean it was mentioned but no hints on price , was just put to rest very quickly , A shareholder did ask if the price was worth more then 9 months ago and he did say yes but didn't say what he thought it was worth , really the 52 cent bid price was never mentioned as well as far as I can remember, maybe only at the chairmans report , but not in question time

basically wait to
see if another bidder comes to the party possibly / or the board makes a decision in the 3 weeks .

At the moment as we all know it is just a single bidder , I was told by a rep of WCL that NHC would/should have disclosed to ASX if they were the bidder one would think , wish I could be of more help veeone.

I'll be there with my wife , am top heavy with WCL , took a few days off work to make it , like Wolv thinking it's a bargin at 40 at this stage

just want to see the vibe at the meeting before I cut losses with other stock to go more .

I'm still thinking they won't accept the offer at 52 , they weren't interested at 53 and 9 months down the track .

They need the sweetener to get it over the line.

Very happy to be wrong and I mean it .

Well , non event
After 9 months we get a lower offer ??

The Board has agreed with the party which has submitted the proposal that WestSide will not solicit proposals from other parties for a three week period to allow time for further due diligence and negotiation.

What the Fark , after 9 months

Why give it away .

must admit of struggling to find a few bob of late , TEX was not high on the list of topping up.
But with TEXOB due tomorrow decided to take up my full allocation tonight
.

The main reason is that the Options are now fully underwritten, the interesting part is that Graham Riley a former TEX director has put his hand up for 20% . Seems a vote of confidence as he stood down recently on the 5th Oct 2012.

Another is that Wyllie Group is seeking a min of 20 million shares , if the underwriting does not deliver that number of shares the parties have discussed making a top up placement , subject to shareholder approval.

All directors took up their full allocation

All this released with one day to go , so most option holders have to decide quickly and B-Pay tonight , early morning tomorrow.

three well back to back drilling program to follow targeting Fusselman / Wolfberry formations .

Seems to me most are keen

for anyone looking for an entry , there is a gap on the chart around 9 cents there about , which worries me

Research Note from RBS which Richard sent to me , Don't know how they came up with the valulation of 53 cents ???

Research Note

Westside Corporation (WCL)

Market Cap: A$120m

Recommendation: Buy

Share price: A$0.35

Price target: A$0.53

Subject: Quarterly report and PetroChina buys next door acreage

Analyst: Roger Leaning (+61 7 3334 4554)

James Lawrence (+61 3334 4547)

Krista Walter (+61 3334 4775)

Key points:

• Cash at the end of the quarter stood at $34m following the $25.4m capital raising conducted during the

quarter.

• Gross revenue for the quarter was $1.95m following a significant increase in production (up 47%) on the PCP

and 30% on the prior quarter

• The new well performance at Meridian is improving for WCL and two wells have been producing gas at a rate

greater than 1mmcf/d. The company seems to be gaining traction with the new well techniques and we would

expect to see further improvements in well flow rates as new wells are drilled which should further increase

production from the 14TJ/d level

• The company has more than 200PJ of 2P uncontracted gas at a time when we are seeing companies

developing the LNG projects seeking to procure third party gas

• Molopo Energy (MPO) has for some time been looking to divest its Australian CSG acreage to focus on its US

operations. It announced today that it has reached an agreement with PetroChina for the sale of these assets

for A$41m plus a $2.4m working capital adjustment

• Using the MPO transaction as a look through to WCL is difficult in our view as:

• we believe MPO's unsuccessful 2010 drilling program and production issues will cast doubt on 2P

reserves (determined pre-drilling program), which as a result may need to be re-certified down;

• MPO's assets are somewhat dependent on WCL to access the market via its infrastructure;

• the WCL acreage (and reserves position) is of lower risk and therefore better quality at this point given

WCL is currently producing approximately 14 TJ/d (on a 100% basis) and growing;

• consequently, we believe attempting to apply a $/2P reserve valuation from the proposed MPO

transaction may be misleading.

• Our valuation for WCL is based on a sum of the parts of its assets. We generate a DCF valuation for Meridian,

and value further Meridian 3P, Tillbrook and Paranui using a risked $/GJ approach based on the extrapolation

of our Merdian DCF valuation to a multiple based 3P reserve value of circa 35c/GJ. We note that this is lower

than our estimate of historical 3P transaction multiples of 55c/GJ. The discount attempts to reflect WCL gas

flow rate uncertainty, risk around the firming up of the LNG Limited indicative offer and sector wide

environmental noise. Our valuation will increase as the perceived risks around each of these diminishes

suggesting an estimated potential valuation upside (or takeover premium) of circa 15cps based on current 3P

resources. For the Galilee Basin exploration, we have ascribed a value based on potential reserves of

Page 2

• 10.7TCF (net to WCL) and risked this accordingly given the early stage exploration being undertaken on the

tenements.

VALUATION TABLE

A$m

Tillbrook (risked 50%) 6.8

Paranui (risked 50%) 12.1

Galilee Basin 6.4

Meridian CSG 45.2

Meridian CSG 3P Upside (risked 25%) 94.7

CSG Total 165.1

Net cash 28.4

Corporate & Other -5.0

Valuation Total 188.5

Value/share (diluted) $0.53

• We retain our buy recommendation on WCL given the upside potential from the current

indicative proposal in addition to the optionality for the company's gas from 2015. The

company is continuing to achieve improved drilling and commissioning with respect to the

new wells and we expect this to continue as it undertakes its planned drilling program. The

move by PetroChina to acquire the MPO acreage in our view reinforces the value in WCL

given the company has producing assets in addition to compressor and pipeline

infrastructure
