Plenty of on market buys here for the last couple weeks between 5-6c,

obviously one to keep an eye on in the short/medium term.

QUOTE (triage @ Friday 08/02/08 07:02pm)

Yes its a great little story Triage, but I think the cap raising may be more about survival as they only have $820,000 in the bank and burning around $700,000 per quarter at a quick glance.
Of course they may have funds ear marked for bigger and better things.

Cheers

PHK is a really interesting story. They have been trying to build sales of their fancy clay for a while now but mostly deal with government agencies which never make quick decisions. They have sales reps in Europe and Australia and have a processing plant in Kunming China (a bit out of the way - they did some testing on a big lake there but apparently did not get any contracts [yet]).

A little while ago they flagged that they wanted to build another bigger (and hopefully better located) plant. Then quite recently they put out an announcement directly addressing what sales they were lining up.

My guess is that they are happy with the build up in sales orders and have decided to get some dough to build the new plant.

If that is what the capital raising is for, then it would be a good sign IMO. But, geez, tough time for a nipper like PHK to raise money.

Have not followed for a while but reason is outlined in the trading halt ann.

"A capital raising is currently under negotiation."

Anyone still following this stock? If so, any idea why they are on a trading halt?

Totally agree with you Crystal. PHK has been a disaster, as far as sp is concerned, for a while now. They have published their bussiness update, which reads OK, yet nothing is happening!!!
I am already loosing money now. grrr.gif

Comsec, don't rely on them for reports

This is part of a $200 million project where Phoslock were selected because of previous trials, now its a $12m contract

Hi Geek and Watch,
thanks for your posts. I am definitely not deserting the ship, just that sometimes I get disheartened - yesterday sp gained 3 cents, in order to loose 2 c today. Where did you read about Rotorua? There were no news in PHK in Commsec. One day we will win. Cheers. wub.gif
