Well said balance.. I agree the choices given in the poll are too narrow.

Management owning/buying shares is a consideration for me too along with many other factors.

the responses are a tad narrow for me to vote.

the "only" counts me out of 2 of them and "it does not matter" also wont apply to me.
It is good to see management and the board stumping up for stock or being holders where their performance to some extent decides their own financial outcomes..but if management or the board dont own shares it would not stop me buying, but it is a consideration along with other factors.

It's not so much a matter of whether or not management hold shares, but whether or not they have been buying or selling on market.

Management generally have a 6-12 month horizon on corporate prospects - and their buying/selling often reflects that horizon.

It also depends on how the shares were acquire - did they use family money to buy the shares or found the orginal business? Or did they just get issued vendor scrip for promoting the IPO, or discounted shares via "employee share schemes".
