Yep 90% gone, and it is compulsory acquisition time.
Another one bites the dust.

Now 81 % and rising. All holders should sell now, no benefit in waiting.

All over Red Rover, let's move on

Could even transfrer to KBL to maintain interest?

Thanks Rod.

The reason I ask is because I was referring to BHP's takeover of WMC (2005) where the CGT event date was when the offer became unconditional (if you accepted before this date):

I'm presuming either the laws have changed or the CBH takeover is a different case?

Sorry orangeguy, it is the contract date, which is when you accept the offer.

Even though the offer is still conditional, it is the acceptance date, so if you want to shift gains into next year wait til after 1 July before accepting.

Make sure you keep a photocopy of signed dated acceptance, just in case you are checked.

On a different issue, my understanding is that the timing of a CGT event for this takeover would simply be 7 July 2010 (offer closing date) irrespective of when a shareholder accepts his/her offer.

Can anyone with a better understanding in this area confirm this?
