RCD still doing well.

Will it be able to break through resistance?

SNIPPETS CORNER - Real time news for investors
25/11/04 By: egoli

Record Investments Limited (RCD) today announced a number of steps to increase the alignment of interests between it and the Allco Group. The proposal is subject to Record shareholder approval. The steps include Record issuing new shares to Allco, select changes to the Record Board and an extension in Record’s management agreement with Allco. The share issue to Allco will raise between $126 million and $158 million in new equity for Record. It will increase Allco’s relevant interest in Record from 10% currently to between 23% and 25% of the Company. Record chairman, Mr Tony Berg, said Record shareholders will benefit from the deepening of the relationship between Record and Allco and the continuing profitable deal flow. “If approved by shareholders, this proposal marks the beginning of an exciting new growth phase for the Company. Strengthening the economic alignment and extending the management agreement between the two groups builds on the relationship that has seen Allco provide a deal flow that has accounted for 90% of Record's earnings since the original float. Since listing four years ago with an IPO of $190 million, Record has grown its market capitalisation to over $850 million, and total shareholder returns have been approximately 35% on a compound annual basis.

RCD>Lots of price action in this stock recently. Aspect Huntley recommended buy. Has used up its investment cash and went to the market for more. Offered shares at $3.00 and rights to those that didnt want to buy. Since then shares have gone to nearly $4.00 and the rights up to 90c. See company website for explanation of what company does.

Also check out RRT. Record Realty is their offshoot property fund. Just purchased Shell Building from AMP. All rents go to pay off the mortgage. Sort of office equivalent of the domestic renter we all do.They then try and extend the tenant revalue and refinance . Distributions to shareholders made on refinancing. Have rights available as RRTO which are currently out of the money.

Any comments appreciated.

Disclosure. Hold RCD, RRT, RRTO
