Hi Alaaf,

I can also confirm that, I just tried this minute to purchase via LS Exchange and Tradegate and they are not allowing the buy to go through.

Music to my ears smile.gif

Conclusions and Relevance A combination of afamelanotide implant and NB–UV-B phototherapy resulted in clinically apparent, statistically significant superior and faster repigmentation compared with NB–UV-B monotherapy. The response was more noticeable in patients with SPTs IV to VI.

A new drug called Scenesse, currently at trial stage, may bring new hope. It is based on a compound called afamelanotide, which mimics the effect of melanocyte stimulating hormone, which is involved in the production of melanocytes — the skin pigment cells.

Well at least there pretty quick with there twittering & blogging.

Reading between the lines & purely my opinion & take on this, the message
is if you want our holy & cash bringing medication (when its approved)
then buy it from a reputable "good" producer & not those back street labs coming
out of wherever.

Could also be an indicator that they are moving further towards production ?
Could also be that I'm looking for something out of nothing blink.gif

Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
In hopes that St Nicholas soon would be there.

The children were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of sugar-plums danced in their heads.
And mamma in her ‘kerchief, and I in my cap,
Had just settled our brains for a long winter’s nap.

When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from the bed to see what was the matter.
Away to the window I flew like a flash,
Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash.

The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow
Gave the lustre of mid-day to objects below.
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But a miniature sleigh, and eight tinny reindeer. ph34r.gif

Greetings fellow CUV fans,

They are quoting amongst other things information from Aug 2009 news , so
it seems to be up to date.

Marketing commentary

Afamelanotide has many potential segments available when it enters the market. There are more than 100 million potential patients in the EU and US alone.

Good information Fish79.

I really cannot see why they would want to run a IPO in Zurich though? In my opinion
Frankfurt is the best exchange for liquidity in Europe (dry as a bone at the moment).
Zurich in my opinion is well down the list of liquid exchanges in Europe.

Still I trust PW knows what he is doing.

What effect could that have on our current UR9, CUV, CLVLY, stocks if any ?

On a positive note, PW wouldn't go shopping or send those messages out if he didn't
have a good case to do so. Or am I wrong ?

Phase III Confirmatory Study in Erythropoietic Protoporphyria (EPP)

I'm still wondering what the big deal is in doing the "confirmatory" study.

If you check out the link I sent below, they are aiming to test up to 70 people!
They mention that 450 have already been tested with Afamelanotide. So what's
the big deal in just another 15% ?

What precautions is PW taking towards approval boards ? When he is only
able to increase his knowledge base by an extra 35 patients?

Completion date is not till 2010, so put your feet up.

OK, it's the pessimist parrot on my shoulder at the moment : If you were PW, wouldn't you also call a "confirmatory Phase" if you felt that they were not going to approve because of lack of data, evidence etc? or am I missing something here ?

Now for the optimist parrot on my shoulder : I have been following the German EPP forum & what I have read (there isn't much)
has been very positive regarding feed back on patients taking the drug.

Hi Arty,

My point is the volume for CUV at the Frankfurter exchange, I'm aware that for the ASX
this would be an uneventful day.But using the tools that I have available, only
Yahoo & Google finance so I might be wrong! But I deduce that the last time we
went over 400k was on May 4th, we consequently dived from 0,23€ to 0,19€ So
not exactly a take off puke.gif

Go back further & you will see that hitting or exceeding 400k volume in Frankfurt
is a a pretty rare occurrence, so I'll class that as Earth moving or let me have a tremor
at least rolleyes.gif

I am pretty sure (but don't nail me) that she is using Pitze in the past tense (sort of slang) = Pitzen which means "sort of a pins & needles" or prickles or light burning sensation.

I also think that she is not using the word in context in describing the side effects of the drug but more of the effects
of her illness EPP.

Month Volume Trading days Avg. daily volume
July 4,077,177 23 177,269
June 5,618,543 21 267,550
May 5,633,547 21 268,264

March 3,923,338 22 178,334
Feb 4,218,898 20 210,945
Jan 8,453,973 20 422,699

Did some number crunching, hope this spread sheet doesn't come out all garbled.
Thought I would look into "go4it" summer holiday point & as you can see he is right graduated.gif

Were see what August brings us, but I presume volume wise it will also be flat.
If you add up all the months & divide by the total amount of CUV stocks 300 mill
you end up with around 10% being traded, is that good bad or what ?

A little read for the weekend. Although this Company
only owns a relative "small" investment, they have
"started an investment" as in not finished yet rolleyes.gif

>>>>>>>
During the first half of 2009, BB BIOTECH invested in Novo Nordisk,
the world market leader in the area of diabetes. Novo Nordisk is
currently launching Victoza in Europe (Liraglutide), which we value
as being the best drug in an emerging class of drugs called GLP-1
analogues. We expect Victoza to become a leading drug for treatment
of diabetes. Regarding the most recent safety issues concerning
insulin-related drugs from one of Novo Nordisk's competitors, we
don't expect Novo Nordisk to face the same issues with its products
and we expect Novo Nordisk to be able to continue its long-term
growth. In addition, we started an investment in Clinuvel, an
Australian based company which is developing a drug for the therapy
of rare diseases of patients who cannot tolerate sunlight.

Here is the full feature, but the above captures most of the
Clinuvel part.

Hi,

As far as I can make out, because there is no longer a "Sponsor" no idea why or who the sponsor
is or was, but it seems that our stock will now only be auctioned once a day. So basically I suppose
if you put in a buy or sell order, it won't go through immediately but will now just be "auctioned" once that day.
I am only guessing here, so don't nail me on this.

Whatever, I don't like this set up at all. So why hasn't Clinuvel informed us of these changes in a newsletter ! thumbdown.gif

Interesting read & a little reminder on why we are long & patient with this stock.
The article also mentions that Florian Homm (hedge fund manager) invested heavily
in Clinuvel back in 2005. Go google the guy & see what he was up to in 2007 ph34r.gif

http://biomedreports.com/articles/most-pop...pportunity.html

ASX:CUV) (OTC:CLVLY) is an Australian biopharmaceutical company developing an innovative photoprotective pharmaceutical drug under the generic name afamelanotide. The Company is based in Melbourne, with an office in Switzerland and a U.S. office that is relocating from San Francisco to New Jersey. In this article, I will describe the company, its pharmaceutical drug (afamelonatide), and why I believe this is a very unique opportunity for biotech investors.

Greetings fellow CUV, UR9 CLVLF CLVLY Fans,

Thought I would just give you my 2 penny's worth into the current discussion on SP & "when will we become Billionaires"

My major concern (boy do I have problems) is if & when this thing moves, when do you jump ship? How many times
have you seen this & hundreds of other stocks "have their day" & then before you know it, bam, your back down
again wondering what happened! In 15 years of trading my best deal was a takeover, It took away the aspect
of trying to predict the best price to sell at. So I tend to agree with uhohinc.Anyway think about it, how are
we going to control our nerves if this thing really starts to break-through, 1-2-3-4 & even 5 $ puke.gif

P.S Nice to see that the boulevard press is starting to pick up on this. Viral
marketing, nothing better than that & it's free.

My point is that we all need to be very clear on our personal strategy "once" CUV moves.

I would be very happy to see a slow rise throughout a set period, but IMHO I don't think this will
happen. The hedge boys will move in,there will be massive volume peaks & were be up in a blink of an eye
lid & before weve figured out, should I, shouldn't I, were be down again when they drop us like a hot potato lmaosmiley.gif

We have 200 business day's where this stock goes no where major, we then get FDA approval
& all hell let's loose, we then have 1 max 2 business days to ride this monkey & then sell sell sell .
Those who decide to wait for highs on top of that could wait forever ph34r.gif

Maybe it's just me, or I've missed someone else querying this point, but what I can't get my head around is
why 100% of the test candidates scored no improvement on the quality of life, but all wished to carry on taking the
medication after the trail had ended? I mean, that's like taking cough medicine for a cough that doesn't get better
but you want to keep on taking it anyway, why bother ? weirdsmiley.gif

Greetings CUV friends,

I took the good advice that some had given on this board & contacted Ameritrade with regards to converting my CLVLF to CLVLY shares. Below is the answer.

Thank you for your inquiry. Currently there are no voluntary offers available to convert shares of CLINUVEL PHARMACEUTICALS (CLVLF). In general ordinary shares are not convertible into ADRs. The typically offer is only to convert ADR shares into ordinary shares. To research further you would need to contact the company directly.puke.gif

So basically I'm stuck with what I have , still that's ok, because when the big bang happens volume will come through & THERE will be buyers & THERE will be little old me on the offering side...... give me a dollar.... king.gif

All the best ...

Hi Guys & Girls,

I have bought & hold Clinuvel in both Europe & the States.
In Europe it runs under (at least in Germany) the ticker
A0JEGY & in the States (I bought through Ameritrade)
with the ticker clvlf. In Europe the volume seems fine for me
to be able to make a market any time of the business day.
What worries me is the volume (or lack of it) in the States.
Hours of nothing followed mostly at the end of the day by a small
buy or sell that moves the stock +-15%.

I just hope when my day of reckoning comes hypocrite.gif that
there is a market for me to sell into weirdsmiley.gif

Any insight appreciated

All the best from a snowy Vienna
Simon

Greetings fellow CUV holders,

My first post wub.gif

Been long in this stock for over 18 months now.Seems that finally things are starting to move
in a positive direction. Volume picking up nicely. I agree with a few of you on this board that
January 2009 will be a "DECIDING" month. So it's all in, heads down & let's hope were backing the right horse.

All the best to you all, greetings from Austria, yes Austria biggrin.gif
