And still the AZ vaccine is produced and administered in Australia despite an increasingly overwhelming body of evidence showing harm.

Hope this is nothing to do with mully. But if the authorities were on their game, it wouldn't be anything to do with anyone.
Meanwhile, the most efficacious and safe vaccine of them all sits in limbo awaiting the green light from authorities: Novavax. You just have to wonder how much political will is overriding sound science in this game.

Most likely someone will chime in with an asinine comment along the lines of, probably just wanted the time off work or some other nonsense.

The Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration has confirmed a link between a young Queensland nurse's blood clots and the AstraZeneca vaccine.

Ellie Peacock, 18, received her first dose of the vaccine on March 31, about a week before Australia's updated advice recommended people younger than 50 not receive AstraZeneca because of concerns over clotting.

The AstraZeneca vaccine is not being administered to people in New Zealand. The Pfizer vaccine is the only vaccine being distributed currently in New Zealand.

The TGA confirmed the link with the AstraZeneca vaccine on Thursday, saying the information reported met the criteria for confirmed thrombosis with thrombocytopenia syndrome (TTS).

A man is in a serious condition after he developed blood clots following his first dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine.

The 53-year-old man is being treated in intensive care after receiving the jab in South Australia on May 4.

SA Chief Health Officer Nicola Spurrier told reporters the man was admitted to hospital on May 18 with severe abdominal pain.

She added it was the first case of thrombosis with thrombocytopenia syndrome (TTS) in the state and it had been "linked to the AstraZeneca" vaccine.

=============

another over 50s case, so age isn't much mattes fo AZ

it is low percentage m but it can cause death---that is why people scared of AZ. not many like to take the chance esp virus rate is so low in Aussie.....

Won't say who, but someone on this thread will probably chime in with some kind of moronic statement like, they had it coming anyway, or just wanted to claim the insurance, or should've known better.

All I can say is, if my wife and/or daughter got their vaccine recently, make sure they don't conceive for quite some time. You might end up with a lifetime of hurt for being a good and dutiful warrior.

Shucks. Of course there is no link. That's code for, prove it. But the odds are, if the vaccine had not been administered the patient would still be alive. That he isn't after the event isn't because of the vaccine though. That's just bad luck.

[/A New Zealander has died after getting a Covid-19 vaccination, but the Ministry of Health says there is no direct link.

Covid-19 Response Minister Chris Hipkins confirmed a death had been reported to the Centre for Adverse Reactions Monitoring (Carm) at today's 1pm update.

Hipkins said the information provided so far suggested the death wasn't linked to the vaccine.

The death was being investigated by the coroner. "That doesn't mean it is linked to the vaccine. There can be other good explanations," Hipkins said.

Won't say who, but someone on this thread sounds a bit disingenuous about what they say. Seems like all they want to do is take potshots.

This must be the crusade she has to go on in order to "change capitalism" as she promised us she would.

And the rest of the world is just going to say, yep, ok, where do I sign?

Yeah. Righto Jacinda.

Closer inspection of her travel intentions begs the question of, what business experience has this woman got that allows her to lead business and trade delegations overseas?
Is government about to annex NZ Inc so Jacinda transitions from PM to CEO?

I just don't get it. What is the issue with Jacinda getting the jab?

She must know something others don't. Same goes for Bloomfield.

She has some religious beliefs and who knows if she is trying for baby number two. She has stated she will get it but so far hasn't. There must be a reason.

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern will lead a business delegation to Australia in July in a bid to "further strengthen business ties with our transtasman partners".
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ardern did not say whether or not she would be vaccinated ahead of her trip.
But she did confirm that when New Zealand's key trading partners over and above Australia look to re-open their borders, "I will look to lead delegations into Europe, the United States, China and the wider Asia-Pacific".

The Morrison government has snapped up 25 million doses of the Moderna vaccine, in a surprise boost to the nation's COVID-19 vaccination rollout.

The deal will deliver 10 million doses of Moderna's standard vaccine this year and 15 million of its booster vaccine candidate next year, the US-based pharmaceutical giant said late on Wednesday (AEST).

The company said it would "shortly" submit an application to the Therapeutic Goods Administration for its two-dose messenger RNA vaccine, which uses the same technique as the Pfizer/BioNTech jab.
