Bet our three miscreants wish they lived somewhere else .......... WI for instance.

QUOTE
West Indies batsman Nicholas Pooran has been banned from his country's next four Twenty20 internationals after admitting to tampering with the ball.

The 24-year-old was caught on camera using his thumb to scrape the ball and seam during the final match of the 3-0 one-day series win over Afghanistan.

Our blokes never even managed to mark the ball .......... and got 12 months !!!

Cheers

If you look at Pucovski’s last dozen innings, he has one century, one half century, and six scores under 10, with an average of 25. Hardly “ must be picked” figures. That doesn’t include today’s forgettable performance.
He’s just another talented batsmen, but yet to prove himself.

Opinion is the new black.
It has replaced reporting as the standard out put of reporters.
I thought the article was a puff pice to fill space.
Cameron Bancroft the only batsmen to have managed to stay around.
Currently now top score with 20.
Everyone seems to have pencilled in Carey as a future test captain.
Can't say I have seen anything so far tht fills me with confidence.
9/69. Lucky its only our second 11.

Will Stanton, sports reporter for The Australian, claims that Will Pucovski is a “ must “ for the first test. He couldn’t come up with any compelling reason for such a dogmatic statement.
He also opined that making runs in the present game , or not, didn’t make any difference ........ Pucovski has to play. He seemed to totally ignore Pucovski’s lack of runs in the Shield competition, and also ignore other batsmens’ legitimate claims to selection.
Don’t know what his problem is, but the article is an opinion piece, not “reporting”.

Well, the bat off for places in the OZ test team going really well.
Australia A 7 /50 after Pakistan amassed 428
The highest score by the auditioners was marcus harris with 16,
Don't think these Pakistani boys are going to be a pushover.

re Renshaw ....... all is revealed in today's Australian.

QUOTE
Former Test opener Matthew Renshaw returns for Queensland after missing the game against WA due to gastro issues. Queensland are missing skipper Usman Khawaja, Joe Burns and Michael Neser because of their Australia A duties. Jimmy Peirson will lead the Bulls in Khawaja's absence.

Hope he scores some impressive runs.

Cheers

Pakistan scored 3 runs from the last 16 balls, mostly complete misses. Are they really ranked No1 in T20 cricket ???

Usman couldn’t find a way to get Green out ......... in either innings . WA get away with a most unlikely draw.

Queensland in with a chance today, with a few more quick wickets.

I notice that Matt Renshaw isn’t in the team, and wondered if he’s injured, crook, or other issues. New opener scored a century, so he’ll be a very happy boy.

Usman might be having second thoughts (too late) about sending WA in to bat after winning the toss at the Gabba. WA have gone from 7/170 to 8/326, and still scoring !! sad.gif
