Immediately after approval, i took a token profit.
Then, i repurchased when the price settled on the "floor". Did i time it right? I dunno.
But, i'm back with more than i had before approval.

I just found that.
Also this...

"CONCLUSIONS:
We propose that afamelanotide represents a novel and potentially effective treatment for vitiligo. The combined therapy of NB-UV-B and afamelanotide appears to promote melanoblast differentiation, proliferation, and eumelanogenesis. Further studies are necessary to confirm these observations."

On Approval, I sold just enough ADR's to cover my initial investment.
But, that was mostly symbolic because the Initial investment wasn't much at 1.68 per.
So i've decided to parlay this symbolic gesture into a "buy-low" situation.

It feels like the 3-year contract renewal unveiled prior to approval was some sort of gambit to reduce hostile-takeover.
Dunno how that would work. But this maneuver still stands out as very odd to me.

Agreed, FDA approval is moot point.
They need to start showing us why we've been patient. I believe this will take some time.
I think they have enough news to consistently stream out happiness.
If they falter on that, I wouldn't be surprised if the sp experiences saggy doldrums.

I wish I understood more too. But, I know enough to stay long and strong smile.gif

Digging into your previous thought..

This abstract:
https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/artic...444639127000175

says:
"Alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone, acting through melanocortin-4 receptor signaling pathways, influences the regulation of every aspect of energy balance, including BAT thermogenesis (Fan et al., 2005)."

So, then another abstract about BAT,
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/25390014

goes onto say that:
" Brown adipose tissue (BAT), in contrast to bona fide white fat, can dissipate significant amounts of chemical energy through uncoupled respiration and heat production (thermogenesis)"

Which the paper seems to indicate that the result of that is:
" Promotion of BAT activity or the browning of WAT is associated with in vivo cold tolerance, increased energy expenditure, and protection against obesity and type 2 diabetes."

Therefore, a-msh makes me strong like cave-man!

If I understand correctly, melanocortin's cause p53 expression.
And, I also believe that melanocortin's can be produced for more reasons than just UV damage.
Therefore, it seems plausible that repair is going on else where too.

But I'm no doctor, obviously.

Yeah, that is an interesting bullet point.

The point of Scenesse is to decrease the number and duration of reactions.
I suppose they are saying 6 more hours of UV exposure doesn't increase the number of phototoxic reactions.

So, I wonder, If patient data is tracked, HOW it will be tracked, post marketing authorization.
It surely will not go into the EU databases.
Does FDA have infrastructure? Will Clinuvel have to create infrastructure? Will Clinuve be able to copy their EU systems, if they are responsible for procuring infrastructure?
Hm,mmm

I'm not sure i'll use my words right (i rarely do),

Clinuvel has set up a post-marketing patient monitoring registry in the EU.
Clinuvel, in some capacity, has asked the FDA to accept/re-use/share the infrastructure used by the EU.

What was the outcome of this?

But, by avoiding them, we run the risk of becoming delusional.

Although not referring to bio-tech logos specifically, there are some logos that are very busy. Yet, they have become mainstream.
Something about a complicated logo gives a hue of majesty, or royalty...
Take for instance these non-biotech logos...super busy, super weird, but super recognizable (to me)

What i'm saying is, their new logo ain't to bad...just complicated..new..

I think you are right, the only spot we know of is Netherlands? We know Germany has "Started" distribution. Not sure what that means when a Country starts to do something. We can assume they are whey past starting to think about it.

What is the list of centers that are currently administering Scenesse?

Um..thought tangent: when they legalized weed in Oregon, the first places allowed to sell it were the places that had already been selling medical marijuana. Its been less than a year
and now it's like BAM weed on every corner.

So

I think it is all going to fall into place rather quickly from here

Why/Who is getting scared just because a drug price is being negotiated?
How does this drug price negotiation lead people to being scared?
Is there precedence for being scared when drug prices are being negotiated?

Am i reading this right, this rumor mongering is occuring in Italy AND Germany AND ... ?

I'm a little confused about the price increase "issue".
We keep seeing articles/documents that suggest there is/was a problem.

Is this the same "document" we keep seeing over an over again?
When was this issue originally raised?
Are we past this issue?

Is this a case where patients are not necessarily saying "Clinuvel is charging too much", but rather saying "Health Insurers are balking at the price increase"
Are we expecting that in the end, the Health insurers WILL pay? Are we seeing suggestions that confirm that expectation?

Clinuvel is not concerned with us, and much more concerned with actual problems. This we can see, and this they know.

So, they are extremely unlikely to employ us in additional financial capacities. Also, I'm pretty sure there is no precedence for it.
And It will dilute us to some degree. But no pain no gain.

Good stuff

I'll give it a shot...

Basically, behind the scenes, they are negotiating the price point and quantity of shares that they will manufacture. They are also finding an investor (if they have not already found one). This process may or may not depress the value of existing shares. In my experience here, long stretches of no news depresses the value more than any capital raising.

But we are on the precipice of a new era for this company. So it is hard to say what will happen this time around.

In my opinion, this was the elephant in the room. I'm glad we now know that we will have money to pay for forward progress.

Just to add to what you said about slowly becoming more impressed with the team and management:
If the Clinuvel collective were even remotely whack-jobs, this company would not still exist.
Their collective stick-to-it-ness is profoundly unique. I still feel really lucky to be in this.

Yea, this stock will probably go back down on low volume tomorrow. But my hope is that in general this is a symptom of the good things to come.
Every share holder knows, eventually, this is going to end well.

Plants are good because they make oxygen. Oxygen feeds fire. Fire is fun.

I like to listen to you and ig, because it is entertaining smartass banter. it's great.
I could not do better.

If any of you were to stay quiet, than we'd be back to watching the grass grow like the old days. no fun!

Long and strong yo.

Can someone explain to me what Resolution 5 - Approval of 10% Placement Facility means?

"ASX Listing Rule 7.1A enables entities to issue Equity Securities up to 10% of its Share capital"
"in addition to the Company's 15% placement capacity under ASX Listing Rule 7.1"

What is this 10% thing, and what is the 15% thing?

Is this the same thing as issuing more shares?

Thanks

It looks like they are upgrading their http server.
Apache test page is showing...only shows when you first install Apache. (Apache is a linux based http server).

Who knows...all is good.

Could that mean that some of those are CUV shares, and some of those are ADR's ?
And so, being that they are two categories, each had to have their own transaction line?

As far as being picked up by a bigger (more rich) entity...
Are we still of the mind(if we ever were) that Vallaurix is a poison pill?

I'd like to suggest that technically, the recent PR didn't say it was taking longer than expected, but said it is "taking longer than we wish for."
So, to me, that particular sentence tells me that things are moving forward as planned, but the road is, as expected, slow.

So; I'm excited!

Cheers!

With so little new information; the posts around here are starting to get recycled.
So, i'll recycle some knowledge.

When Retrophin bought into Clinuvel; Martin Shkreli was at the Helm. A mere couple/few months later, Shkreli was forced out of his CEO position.
Then Retrophin started selling.

<i'm guessing>
So, It seems obvious that Retrophin's new captain had buyers remorse.
I say remorse because they knew that unloading large quantity of thinly traded OTC stock was not a majorly profitable prospect.
Knowing that, you wouldn't sell just on a whim.
</im guessing>

And retrophin is currently saddled with all sorts of legal issues, pertaining to the old [Shkreli] CEO.

So, here we are, with Retrophin selling..and us pragmatists footing the bill

Retrophin is not my friend. If i saw Retrophin walking down the street, i'd spit in its face.

But, like post-glacial rebound, Clinuvel will be back. This magic is the slow show.
