On Approval, I sold just enough ADR's to cover my initial investment.
But, that was mostly symbolic because the Initial investment wasn't much at 1.68 per.
So i've decided to parlay this symbolic gesture into a "buy-low" situation.

It feels like the 3-year contract renewal unveiled prior to approval was some sort of gambit to reduce hostile-takeover.
Dunno how that would work. But this maneuver still stands out as very odd to me.

Oh, I definitely mind.
This is the single biggest buzzkill in the whole "being long with ADR's" story;
considering i bought in when it was closer 1:1

Clinuvel is like Michael Jackson before he was famous.

Clinuvel is not concerned with us, and much more concerned with actual problems. This we can see, and this they know.

So, they are extremely unlikely to employ us in additional financial capacities. Also, I'm pretty sure there is no precedence for it.
And It will dilute us to some degree. But no pain no gain.

Basically, behind the scenes, they are negotiating the price point and quantity of shares that they will manufacture. They are also finding an investor (if they have not already found one). This process may or may not depress the value of existing shares. In my experience here, long stretches of no news depresses the value more than any capital raising.

But we are on the precipice of a new era for this company. So it is hard to say what will happen this time around.

In my opinion, this was the elephant in the room. I'm glad we now know that we will have money to pay for forward progress.

Just to add to what you said about slowly becoming more impressed with the team and management:
If the Clinuvel collective were even remotely whack-jobs, this company would not still exist.
Their collective stick-to-it-ness is profoundly unique. I still feel really lucky to be in this.

I'd like to suggest that technically, the recent PR didn't say it was taking longer than expected, but said it is "taking longer than we wish for."

When Retrophin bought into Clinuvel; Martin Shkreli was at the Helm. A mere couple/few months later, Shkreli was forced out of his CEO position.
Then Retrophin started selling.

So, It seems obvious that Retrophin's new captain had buyers remorse.
I say remorse because they knew that unloading large quantity of thinly traded OTC stock was not a majorly profitable prospect.
Knowing that, you wouldn't sell just on a whim.

And retrophin is currently saddled with all sorts of legal issues, pertaining to the old [Shkreli] CEO.
