As per Trade Tech - Jul 31 - US$47.50 Uranium Spot Price [+0.25]

In the Market ...
Activity in the spot uranium market remained significantly strong in July. Although several buyers concluded transactions during the month, total demand remained high during the month and active supply dropped by over 40 percent. The buyer mix remains diverse, with utilities, producers, and intermediaries seeking market purchases. Sellers continued to seek market-related pricing terms for spot delivery, especially for delivery beyond 30-60 days. Buyers are trying to resist these market-related pricing terms for spot deliveries, preferring instead to accept ever higher prices in order to obtain fixed pricing terms. Long-term uranium demand remains strong and continues to exert upward pressure on the spot uranium price. A US producer is expected to auction another lot of uranium in August and the US Department of Energy may soon enter the market as a seller; buyers are expected to once again compete aggressively for this material. TradeTech expects uranium prices to continue their upward climb through August. wink.gif

Quite so, whilst governments are waffling around there is nothing to stop Paladin proceeding according to their plan. With minimal luck they should be just about ready to mine when the all the cogitating is done.

Do you think that PDN have spent hundreds of millions of dollars to buy VUL on the off chance they can mine the resource.
I don't think so!
I believe they are bound to have a very solid assurance from the Queensland administrtion and that rules will inevitably be changed.

The conference where this will be debated is in April next year - not that long in the grand scheme of things
