One from Sharetease: From what we know now 7.5 BN market cap is at the lower part of the spectrum in my view. At the end of 2021 with all the first news from those trials out including that nr VI indication and OTC launched we could be worth North of that already. PW has known this a long time ago. WB and PW will make a lot of sh into millionaires and themselves into billionaires. I really hope scenesse manages to improve outcomes for xp patients. This drug platform is going to save lives, improve sun related skin damage and become part of any household's medication stock. Cuv is no longer a biotech with some ongoing trials or a one trick pony biotech. It is a diversified and vertically integrated pharmaceutical company with a profitable and globally distributed first-off commercial product. Scenesse can become the 21st century aspirine, clinuvel can become the apple computer of cosmetics and pharma. Peter Thiel and Sean Parker had understood a long time ago. Only showstopper can be a take over. Nobody will want to sell under 7.5 BN aud until 2022. After that and if all goes well the mega pharma and cosmetics suitor might need double digit BN aud. I wouldn't mind at that stage as long as the strategy is kept. These product lines should stay available for all. |

Finally have EPP centers in New England. Kudos CUV. Now get one open in Ohio and assign someone to help patients. |

I don't think they're hopeless. I think they're in strategy wonderland right now. They're looking at owning the whole fruit orchard and forgetting that they need to pick the apples right in front of them. They need to grab cash in front of them while they can instead of looking at a million options including acquisition. It's okay to do both, but you HAVE to execute on the opportunity in front of you especially when they could hire 10 people to help patiens and pay for it with new patients immediately... oh... and by the way.. help the people you said you would help. |

The pandemic has nothing, Nada to do with the backlog. 73 people are stuck without help in one office location alone. How can you look at Clinuvel providing no support as okay and think “it’s going well”. Of course there are delays with insurance. Clinuvel has NO PLAN other than the APF to help them. Patients don’t even know what to do and Clinuvel doesn’t answer emails or coordinate to help approval. Patients are complaining about it almost daily. How do you define letting patients figure this out on their own as “going well”? My shares and yours would be worth more almost instantaneously if they start helping patients. My motivation is to get their asses in gear asap |

They’ve had years to prepare for this - with a new competitor on their heals. Their plan was feeble. 2 centers in front of a bad plan is not progress. It’s almost as if they didn’t expect to get approval. Not hiring even one Fulltime staff to help navigate insurance companies isn’t just a stupid strategy, it’s a slap in the face to patients who’ve waited through trials for years. How can you justify leaving so many patients without any help?? Serious question for you... how can you justify that? It not just bad business, it shows a lack of caring. Pissing away millions, while driving away patients to competitor’s trials and leaving so many patients to fend for themselves is bad all around. The kicker is that if they hired two people to do this fulltime, they’d get their money back in two weeks. But hey, at least we’ll have an OTC product soon... right? |

Is it even a good narrative? “If you complain about the management of your investment... you’re a bad investor?” They need to get someone to help theses patients. They have no one to help them navigate insurance denial after insurance denial. Clinuvel has left them alone after promising them a life changing drug for years. One woman just signed up for an MT trial because she figured even getting a placebo she had a better shot of getting help than flailing against insurance carriers with NO help from Clinuvel. |

You have the logic of a two year old. Newsflash: Investors frustrated by companies they’re invest in is not a new phenomenon. The incompetence around the rollout isn’t just frustrating it’s a colossal waste of easy money. Great investable, drug with a management team that is really pissing off patients (and leaving them without a drug they need). |

I would think longs would want Clinuvel to hire someone to manage the rollout, Immediately. Every day, every delay = lost dollars, pissed off patients. One full time employees who speeds up the process would pay for himself / herself in weeks. Ridiculous to rely on the APF |

Too infantile. I’m 120k long and have been since 2014. If you had half a brain you’d note two things: 1) My post about the shitty rollout would mean nothing to shorters. No one but a bungling idiot would sell on that news. 2.) If Clinuvel acts on this value goes up quickly as the results will be seen in quarterly numbers. Clinuvel is pissing away dollars by letting patients hang out to dry. |

I am anything but short. I’m over invested Long, which is why they need to fix this now. They need to hire someone to help with the rollout. They’re throwing money out the window by letting patients go it alone with insurers. Many are not even getting replies back. The backlog in Florida alone is millions of $$. |

They have added some good instos recently... though I own more shares than many of them. So there's some movement. They also seem to have made their path much harder than it had to be.Let's hope they up their game. They aren't a merry band of little fighters trying to fight through the system anymore, they're a billion dollar company, yet the Miami office seems to be the only one doing any volume of implants right now. LA has been a mess, Detroit isn't out of the gate, I would imagine that SLC, Charleston, Portland aren't either. |

I don't actually think they should be focused on retail investors. I would put all of my eggs into courting instos with long-term hold philosophies. Retail investors suck. Short-term investors suck. |

Couple of thoughts:
That said, public information is public information and we do have voting rights. It seems that this industry, in particular, is prone to shareholder abuse. Information like EPP patients describing their interactions with Clinuvel as a "battle", incomplete submissions, absolutely absurd CEO performance packages (based upon peer performance in a recession) need to be discussed and vetted and InvestClinuvel will allow us a forum to do so. I hope InvestClinuvel doesn't become agent of war born of frustration against management. That can be highly counterproductive. There's some good research done here (not by me) that I actually think I/C could become a value driver. I'll have an ore in both waters. Titles like "you can't handle the truth" and "do you want a condo with that implant" "the public company that doesn't want to be" may feel rebellious, but ultimately that makes me a big wary. Cheers all, looking forwad to July receipt numbers. |

That they're spending any time at all on this while the struggle to meet the demand of EPP patients ( many are stuck in purgatory) and have sooo many irons in the fire points to some weird inadequacy. Spend your time training more us clinics. |

Covid seems to be worse? In the three weeks beginning mid-March, Mocco saw 32 stroke patients with large blood blockages in the brain, double the usual number for that period. J Mocco, MD, Director of Mount Sinai's Cerebrovascular Center, David Reich, MD and President and COO of The Mount Sinai Hospital, and Hooman Poor, MD, an ICU doctor pose together outside the hospital in Manhattan, during the outbreak of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in New York City, New York, U.S., April 17, 2020. REUTERS/Jeenah Moon Five were unusually young, under age 49, with no obvious risk factors for strokes, “which is crazy,” he said. “Very, very atypical.” The youngest was only 31. https://www.reuters.com/article/us-health-c...s-idUSKCN22421Z |

What they don't tell you about surviving COVID-19. These are my observations (of hospitalized patients): 1) Everybody is so swollen their skin has blisters and is so tight it looks like it’s about to burst, from head to heel. And skin so dry peeling and flaky that to slather Vaseline on every shift is almost necessary — all over. 2) Everybody’s skin is weeping clear fluid and has sores and the skin just slides off with slightest turn or rub, all over the body. 3) Everybody’s blood is thick as slush. Can’t figure out what’s making it clot like that, but it’s dark and thick. 4) Everybody’s kidneys are failing. Urine dark or red, which could contribute to the swelling, but we don’t know yet. It certainly seems like a drug with anti-inflammatory properties would be helpful https://www.sfgate.com/news/editorspicks/ar...ng-15347792.php |

He’s on fire “ Scenesse could be a preventative intervention on high risk patients. There are multi-millions of patients. The use would be almost all patients. I could easily see sales here of at least $10 billion in sales of Scenesse here. Rather than over several years, overnite this could make Clinuvel a $40 Billion in Market Capital and one of the top ten pharmaceutical companys in world. Still dwarfed by Merck and Pfizer though.” |

A research team at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine has shown that a small protein called melanocyte-stimulating hormone (a-MSH) reduces the inflammation associated with sarcoidosis. https://physician-news.umiamihealth.org/ant...dosis-patients/ Melanocortin systems are well-known for their regulation of skin pigmentation and steroidogenesis. Interest in melanocortin receptor agonists in pulmonary medicine stems from their role as potential modifiers of inflammatory disease. In this review, we provide insight into the structures and functionality of melanocortin receptors and their agonists in pulmonary inflammatory and fibrotic diseases. https://www.frontiersin.org/articles/10.338...2019.00145/full |

Collectively these studies have exhibited a clinical application for α-MSH in maintaining vascular homeostasis. Through its favourable regulation of eNOS via post-transcriptional modifications and preventing ONOO- generation, α-MSH increases the bioavailability of NO in the endothelial cells of the vasculature. Sufficient concentrations of NO can therefore stimulate vasoprotective changes in diseases who origins result from a loss of NO production or availability. |

200k cases a year. The average clinical course among these 22 patients was 10 years from the onset of the disease. The average age at death was 39 years. Patients who died of central nervous system and cardiac sarcoidosis were younger, and their clinical course was shorter. |

I'm not sure you want to rely on the APF since they are committed to a competitor, which frankly they should be. They should be trying to get every treatment possible going forward. But, from CUV's perspective, putting such responsibility on a non-profit with competing interests is not smart. The APF is a bunch of ass-kickers, but they're going to be kicking ass for competitors as well as CUV. I realize it's an injection, but hasn't CUV committed to a specific training process? |

Now on a positive note the fact that the offices are jammed up means of course there is demand out there. It’s okay to not anticipate this type of demand or competitors, you just need to adjust quickly and decisively. |

* Clinuvel needs to hire BOTH a full-time trainer to get other doctors ready to deliver and a full time admin to help people get approved. Or hire a consutant. One thing is clear. People are very frustrated with the approval process for Scenesse right now. With some deciding it's easier to get into a MT 7117 trial than get Scenesse (which is absurd). Part of the problem is that Clinuvel is relying way too much on the APF. The APF is great, but this shouldn't be their job and they have more incentive to steer patients into the MT-7117 trial. The other problem is that between having to get approved, get scheduled and actually travel to individual locations, Clinuvel has made it too hard when other options could potentially loom. They need more locations. EACH patient lost has a lifetime value of at least $500k. So, if you hire two people and those two people save only one patient, they will have paid for themselves 2-3x. If they save 100 patients, that's $50-million in lifetime value. I completely get the need to conserve cash, but this is landgrab situation. Throwing away business is never a good strategy. |

Good, since LA has been dysfunctional. It would help if Dr. Grime's office could at least spell EPP correctly and return phone calls. Now, get a center in Boston... there are a gabillion derms in the area. Fly someone out there on a private plane to train them, it will pay for itself in three doses and reduced patients for MT7117 testing https://profiles.stanford.edu/joyce-teng |

So....
Vitiligo in the US now looks very promising and the same people reviewing the NDA were the ones who reviewed EPP. Cosmetic, DNA repair and now it looks like sort of anti-inflammatory indications are in the works. VPP is progressing. If not for corona hell, we'd be talking tax implication.s |

nation therapy was conducted. Combination therapy (n ¼ 18) was superior to placebo, with a statistically significant decrease in the median Vitiligo Area Scoring Index scores for total, head and neck, hands, upper extremities, trunk, and lower extremities at day 140 and thereafter (P\.05) (Table I). Statistically significant reductions in Vitiligo European Task Force area percentage scores for total body, head and neck, and trunk were observed at day 196 (P \.05). Onset of repigmentation was observed the earliest for upper extremities (median, 10.5 days) and trunk (median, 13 days) (Fig 1) and the latest for hands and feet (median, 36 days for both). Combination therapy was well tolerated. Notable adverse events included erythema and pruritus, which were likely related to NB-UVB. Nail pigmentation was possibly due to afamelanotide activating melanogenesis. |

"the penetrance of the EPP phenotype in the Japanese population is expected to be higher than in the Western countries due to the high frequency of the IVS3-48C polymorphism (43%) (19)." I didn't realize Japan was a large market. 126-million people. It's listed at the same as Oz. Does anyone have info on how close we are there? |

A recent study by the Porphyria Center in Rotterdam (The Netherlands), in which all Dutch EPP patients are treated with afamelanotide, confirms the safety and effectiveness of afamelanotide even under everyday conditions. The 117 patients from the Netherlands spent an average of 6.1 hours longer outdoors on treatment and had a significantly higher quality of life compared to before treatment. If patients developed phototoxic reactions, they were less painful during treatment. |

What exactly is stopping us from rolling this out to more than 3 centres in the US in 2020? The training is simple. Coverage is in place. Is it hiring a body in the US for 80k a year to get many times that over back in revenue? |

“Most pleasing was that the senior managers and decision makers within the FDA’s Division of Dermatology and Dental Products were actively engaged in the discussion, and they were the same professionals who had reviewed and approved SCENESSE® for EPP in October 2019, thus the knowledge on SCENESSE® was current. I like the sound of htis. |

What skin conditions respond to afamelanotide? Afamelanotide is registered to treat erythropoietic protoporphyria. It has been reported to be beneficial for patients with: Solar urticaria Vitiligo Hailey-Hailey disease Does afamelanotide work as a sunscreen? The use of afamelanotide has been associated with a 50% decrease in epidermal cells from sunburn, as well as with a significant reduction in the formation of thymine dimer (part of the process by which UVB DNA damage ) However, marketers of afamelanotide do not recommend its use as a sunscreen or sunburn treatment. The word is certainly gettin gout. |

About 80 per cent of the 4000 EPP sufferers in the US are covered by private insurance. The next step is to seek Medicaid/Medicare reimbursement for the remainder. Even though EPP is a tiny ‘orphan’ market, the company stands to generate more than $US300m ($500million) if it reaches just half the US patient market. |

In Thailand, short sales were not banned, but rules are being adjusted for current market conditions, according to the President of the country’s stock exchange. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/202...n-short-selling |

Unless corona virus bankrupts healthcare systems, this shitstorm means nothing to the long-term value of the company and if we're truly going to buy other companies with our cash flow, the price of acquisition just went down considerably. The problem from a shareholder perspective is that small and mid cap valuations shrink much faster than large cap in a downturn. |

Read the annual. It’s a “self-administered†model. They seem to think they can guide this to the APF and go work on other things. |

their entire “let everyone else do all the work†philosophy is moronic and short sighted. They’re doing it so they can concentrate on cosmeceuticals and M&A. Morons |

It's an absolute long-term bargain, but market timing is an issue. Imagine if we didn't get FDA approval? |

Clinuvel should see where they’re launching and open up a Centre there. Why is it 5-7 years? |

Wolgren. WTF is wrong with you? EPP patients can’t find info easily. Me while you’re fishing for cosmeceutical grants that you would get in one week of an EPP rollout. Malfeasance. |

At some point, even if it stays down, the market will start differentiationing between companies that will be impacted by the virus (cruise lines are fucked) and those that are less so, Clinical has to be among the least impacted categories. |

The virus will have no effect on Clinuvel and balance sheets win in downturns. So, bargain prices for sure over the long term. Short term? Who knows. |

They’ve also got the Baltic Sea covered. These jokers just made inorganic growth one of their four pillars. They can’t even get a map right... company integration absolutely blows as does the debt that comes with such an acquisition. Bad integration, imagines synergies and debt bring down most acquisitions. |

I want them to invest, but Where are the investments going? To the US roll-out? I’m all for a cosmeceutical play, but let’s scoop up the markets we’ve already made first. |
