My parents own AWB shares that they want to distribute to their children.

Does anyone know the answer to this question?

When they transfer the shares as a gift, are they liable for capital gains tax at that time. Or can we, the children, pay the capital gains tax when we sell them.

Thanks very much to anyone that can help.
