Sometimes I can be sooo stupid!!

What have I been preaching all day? Long, long, long

What do I do tonight?? Go short!! Just shoot me.

When I saw the dax pass 7800 I couldn't help myself. I got killed of course. Way underwater, I went in hard at dax 7840 and dow 13,554. After a painfully slow decline, I finally settled for 20 points on the dow and closed 1/2 my dax at 7832.

But then the unthinkable happened. CMC did one of their crazy spikes to the downside and for a split second the dax traded at 7555. My finger wasa on the trigger and I closed out the remaining shorts for an 85 point profit.

Finally up for the night. Praise God.

Perhaps my post was not so clear. Profit factor is the total wins divided by total losses.

With avg win and avg loss I was after them separately, rather than divided.

thta's what i thought when i bought ANZ. yield chart shows a double top patten and FED said time and time again-------no cut,no hike. also ANZ is on the 200 days MA. think it is high probabity trades. but the wave of selling really hit my nerve and it not recover to $29 by end of the session. that big seller might do the same at other market as well.

read bit of news of FanieMac, bear stern, dosen't look good for the banking sector.

dow is up, yield is down. looks safe for now. hope it can rally bit futher so i can land some shorts to hedgging. you never know there might be last hour selling comes while i'm sleeping.

been greedy, bought too many of it!! thumbdown.gif when i'm gonna learn.

Got the feeling the DOW is going to give back some of yesterdays gains tonight

Not going to put my money on it though!!.............but after yesterdays big rise you would
think there would have to something special going on to keep going up at this rate tonight?? icon14.gif

Cheers

Why do you think it was stupid to buy ANZ? I bought banks today as well. The word I hear is that the 10 year has most likely topped (for this week) and should ease off in the next day or so. Also the banking sector in the UK is up 60 points

US futures have now undone DOW back to +15. I still think it could go either way tonight. I want it to tank but I don't think it will, the core PPI figure wasn't bad enough. The core really needed to be .3 to get the inflation nervous nellies going.

Still waiting for my day in the sun for that major tank of a 2-3% selloff. Oh well guess I'm going to have to keep scalping some more for the time being cool.gif

Yeah Eb. I think this market wants to rally. Caught 15 points on the way back up. Now I'll wait to see how it opens.

Options expiry tomorrow and rebalance of Russ 2000 will make for some volatile times. Just gonna try and grab a few here and there with a long bias.
