Hi Nipper I read a few months back that China had built two enormous ships in order they can carry as much iron ore from Africa where I think they are invested.
Australia better find a new commodity that’s in demand as I wouldn’t want to be holding iron ore LT.

Hi Nipper nice to hear what you’ve been up to.
I think AVA is only one on my watch but my son keeps on about graphine/graphite but id have to sift through a lot of them .

Mostly this year been trading Zip and Lyc I haven’t had the time I used to for research but not complaining I have done ok .
Still hold few zip.

I agree I not up with this new format here that’s why I have been missing the old one to me was more user friendly .

I like some of their suggestions that come through my email
But not actioned any yet .

I’ll check those ones out all of yours old and new this weekend .

Be great to have a successful year for a change will take up some of my losses .

I’ll check in from time to time make sure you not asleep in your retirement , best of luck mate .

Hi Nipper Haooy New Year hope you catch some biggies this year .

I wonder if you could navigate me a bit around this new format I don’t see anywhere
That you can post IM’s .

Maybe you could tell me I’m totally blind or dumb but if you know please share.

Ps. Not much new exciting innovation since Steve Jobs this guy keeps reinventing same ole.
Maybe Apple will try its hand at cars we are due for some new tech that actually works.

Cheers

Another of my picks I got impatient with and dumped in the 2.90 range thinking I could pick it back up before the meeting mid Jan and what happens I lost money as soon as I sold and now look at it. After much research this one was the pick of the bunch considering the Canadian tie up. Bit late to get back on now.

True if I jump in now you can bet on the cows coming down with mad cow disease.
I like their buy back in the future . They saying they have no problems with China being
Legally accepted by December but as we know China loves giving us nasty surprises so id be happier
If that was all sorted. It's making its first profit in U.K. And inroads into US it's definitely a different kettle of fish to BAL.

But it's high then again I can visualise it going double that just have to find nerves of steel.

They haven't got a huge heard of those special cows oh and I Forgot the legal battle they have
Everything Is pointing to wait and see 😳

Thanks Arty for the latest ZYB. Ive started going through them there is a lot to read so only did 3 last night. Bought some ESE today as I liked the look of them I think that company already doing some dealings in US - not sure where I read that but looks hopeful.

There is another one which Is a real penny stock but it has connections with another larger company I just have to check out the other company and how it stacks up.

Im thinking some of these will be winners and some will sink so its a real casino but only sold a few of my LNG to pay as Its like painful watching it for months.

Arty sorry to be off subject. But do you know the company that is doing cannibis or marjuanha (sorry can't spell) i think its a new IP was trading I read somewhere at 55 last but forget the name.
Anyway I could do with some myself lmaosmiley.gif They reckon its in the form of drive through now and even Uber delivery what a weird world. Sure will fix aches and pains - maybe but would if I had some and it took off to a ten bagger.

Yeah my FMG took a pounding this week so I shorted my own and made a little but still down overall. FMG expects it to stabilise around the 60-65 mark but they also said expect volatility in the meantime so I guess we are getting it.

Shame it was the same day TLS went $4 as I was tempted but eh well is dry . Hope you all making money on something. Its very heart stopping what Trump and that Nth Korean guy are going to do next so I don't know what would happen to share market it they start something, if they do they better make sure they get that Korean leader. Nervy times.

How about a Daily heads up on what say half a dozen brokers or financial big wigs are predicting for the ASX for the day.
It would be interesting to have this before we start trading, a Daily Heads up would be good.
Not that we will take too much notice as I am sure most people do their own research and place their bets long or short from their own experiences.

Having said that it could work out to our advantage because we would see who is on the ball more often between the seamless brokerage reports we get inundated with.
For eg. I not too sure CBA is right that often so perhaps they could be compared to Bell and a few others.

Anyway just a thought if we could get tis before open its just another link that we can chat about.

EB I was hoping for close to 6 by now especially with the divi expected and a special whatever closer to Xmas. Im thinking that results may not be up to expectations and all the shortages havent helped. Plus since the new management things have fallen in a hole which is hard to climb out of not sure if its anything to do with him or sheer coincidence.

Be happy to be proven wrong tomorrow and see it fly wink.gif

I do feel I missed the boat for the time being on this one. Too busy staring at VIT and BAL and TLS wondering if they will ever see green again.

I dont think the ex divi for TLS has done anything for the SP I have a portfolio full of it begins with C. and ends with P. Like AHF, - bad move, BAL worse move, TLS wish I could wipe the memory from my brain, VIT what was I thinking and SIP the only saviour which made me a total of $30 today so Im rick figure I should buy a lotto with it better odds than the share market if this is not a recession what is it, far worse than the GFC at least that was basically one big hit then the buyers started coming in this is a slow slow death would have been better off with bitcoins.

AHF looks promising on paper the fundamentals are good 3-4 farms looking to purchase up to 10 in the process of buying into their own processing plant and has already delivered to China as well as established customer base here that is the reason why I bought in - pure fundamentals not T/A and thats why im guessing I am down 50% because I bought in at the very top of the hype in milk. So will be holding this one until they buy all the cows in Australia.

Take a look at AHF Arty it seems to me there has been more go through this morning than usual. I know BAL and A2M have also risen but AHF never really goes with the flow in fact I made the mistake of buying at top 5 so perhaps its going to amaze me and start going back up otherwise Ill have a bit of a wait. Still with the amount that has gone through today already looks like something could be brewing they may have a positive announcement. (sorry for replying in SBM but no thread for this one and may be no point in making one)

I have so much milk shares its scary I think A2m and BAL will come out with some good figures in Feb so hoping that will help pick the market up. I bought AHF I think it could have been a mistake I bought high well 5 now they halved but they are sellng milk already to China and have a chinese partner so who knows, just keep my finger poised to check out of any if things go sour.

Arty what I really mean is that the market has been so unpredictiable so I cant understand how a pattern can form candles or otherwise when its lke a hurricane has hit the market such as DOW up 300 one day down 250 the next and so on how can any tech analysis form to predict this. Still I still dumb on any tech stuff I think I can understand candles a little but thats about the only one, I said a little so dont show me lmaosmiley.gif lmaosmiley.gif but Im sure you can understand my confusion to form a candle or pattern for anaylsis surely there has to be some consistency.

Enuff for my brain have a great day.

jar for a bit more.

Just keeping away from the small caps even though some are good.

Wish I had shorted a few years ago in fact I feel its a bit late to short now. Maybe Ill find a good short broker and try my luck with just $5k to see if it works for me lmaosmiley.gif

It has all been for nothing just one big cover up after another and the pain is slow and long the GFC I feel was better because it was WHAM but somehow it seemed to recover quicker or at least it seemed that way. This time around I believe US an China and ourselves have no idea what to do next. The labour gov want us to move into manufacturing now manufacturing exactly what and is this a joke how can we ever compete with Asian manufacturing prices.

I want to see the gov in Qld give the green light to infrastructure and mining again it doesnt have to be all Iron Ore but no they too busy picking their snouts in the mirror. The world is stuffed I wonder if Germany would open the doors to us Aussies at least they know how to run an economy.

I have TLS and thats it no more playing the markets for me I havent got money to burn.

cricket hierarchy must be hard to take remember Steve Waugh they couldnt get rid of him quick enough and what a great captain he was but it was memorable to see how he went out over the 100 in his last test at Sydney.

Shame Clarkey cant do the same, everyone of them unfortunately have bad weeks just bad at the wrong time happens to us all.

Henrietta nothing would have changed the outcome we should never have batted first in both these last two tests.

We have our poor opener who has lost his confidence after beng hit by the ball, unfortuntately Bradden should have been brought back
in as a batsman and we keep our young wicket keeper as he shows promise but Marsh or Voges should have gone and Bradden replaced.

Never seen such a shocking result they should be ashamed of themeselves but Broad did a wonderful job on a poorly prepared aussie team
time for Clarke to take on a batsman role those two opening up batting was our downfall and his decision. Thats all Im sayng on this matter
as Ive been looking forward to this test and Im am now over our team.

What a wonderful game I watched the whole thing and am functoning on one cog today but it was so good I couldnt turn it off. I will be watching tonight but not until after 3am and then I was so hyped up I had not one five min nap. But so worth watching.

Talk still lof Watson coming back at some stage some times I think its personality rather than performance that makes decisions but there again Michael Clarke needs a few on the board be interesting to see how a couple of new ones go its daunting for their first time at Lords. Haddin will be misssed but family comes first.

Hope some of you were watching.

We can still win this match if Watson stays in above his usual 30+ and then Brad Hadden does the job with Mitch Johnson who can bat well on good days, hope its better than his bowling this time. I think he tries too hard in big matches and needs to relax then he will get wickets. Look forward to tonights play.

Went out left a buy in for 6.26 thinking yep that will be ok. Came back close to end of day and nearly fell over. Just my luck should never leave a standing order I should know better - so Ill be holding for a while. Everyone expecting greece to totally disintergrate but you know what either the Russians will pull them out of this mess or the EU will come up with another long delay plan so in my humble opinion which counts for zero I think its all a load of hot air to put it politely.

Just miffed I missed out on TLS at a really low price - still never say never I may have to top up.

Carsha and Mista its not hc I think the market is so dodgy here at present I know Im pretty chicken so much so Ive only got TLS and a few FMG. I should have shorted a couple of years ago so easy to pick when something overseas drops overnight but hey I didn't.

Re SS I see same old posts really CUV must be a gold mine as its always on and yet the volume is so low so doesnt interest me.

Perhaps we are all to blame just being lazy I think I know nobody seems interested in what I post anyway I usually answer myself.

But I do like SS there are times when there is some useful info when our good posters get back on like you two and a few others.

Its obscene what happened to STO today like the oill goes down less than $2 and everyone panics because of Iran and how they going to produce 1 billion barrels if they allowed after July summit with premilary approval but thats at least 3 years away. On the plus side STO is now concentrating on LNG which is a good play and I think first shipment out July fromGladstone
so lots of panice for pretty much nothing.

If I sold now I would lose profit because I bought at 8.79 ouch but thankfully I do have some much lower so it basically means no profit and even.

I wonder if I should wait until next week you would think the AUD would have some impact on the SP and help it. Pised off is mild way oif putting it I was on a good profit up until today.

Anybody got any views on where its going today or do he oil futures look better ?

Vida I too wanted to get into PYl but nearly fell over when I saw how high it went I was too nervous to get on around 70's then I forgot no trading Monday so it will probably be over $1 by tuesday and then we will be kicking ourselves. I like the fact they are selling in US where it is legal already and other countries obviously Oz going to be a hard ask but it will come to the party eventually I would say with a lot of lobbying.

Still we missed out sorely today some people made huge bucks. Our turn next week perhaps Im amazed that you are the only one mentioning it on here its a very hot topic in all the newspapers too. Good luck for Tuesday mate.

I like your optimism Arty "now its graphite" I dont see anything that is 'now' I think there should be an IP for poverty because that would make us some money.

So bad is looking for a trade I am resigning myself to looking for dividends now thats a first seems TLS is at its top even though they predict $7 but who trusts anybodys predicitons either.

Well I think Ill wait for citi's prediction of 14c and then I may buy some if it hits that or 10c just for old times sake. I mean who would have thought Australia no longer can rely on the revenue from the miners we will have to find some other precious commodity or just buy cows then we can contribute to the carbon gases more. No win around at the moment as far as I can see.
If you have the knowledge and can stay up half the night best to invest in overseas markets Im thinking.

Well astonished really because the offer doesnt close until Friday so I would have thought they should have waited until they coiuld work out the allocation after all offers were in.

Thinking stupidly that subscribers to the private health fund would have been given first preference over the brokers - thought it read like that. Anyway dont know why Im worrying about
it because I am expecting a low allocation too. As usual line the boys pockets first.

Hi V1 I think at $2 or 1.80 would be better then it has to be of value. Checking out where NIB is at around $3 mark and MPL is the largest in Australia I would say something drastic would have to happen for it not to open higher than this. Not saying its going to be going north on a daily basis but nice to have a few I think. Depends on how many we are allocated. I think they own AHM too. I guess they will be advertising on tv like NIB and getting very commercial just hope they have the right management in place.

Others may be convinced by a savings of around $7 per ton but Im not so sure it wont get eaten up by other factors never putting my money back on this one I would think shreholders are praying for a take over thats been the talk for past 3 years or that iron ore has a major bounce from what I see out of China thats not going to happen in the short term. Good luck to holders though the SP is now cheap enough so thats a positive.

I havent had a look at GBG for years but it was partnered with the Chinese from what I remember and very shortly I think the SP started its decline, not sure of those facts but could have something to do with it the Chinese tend to look on projects long term. They have been trucking I think to port, have you checked what grades they have and what they are getting for them against their costs.

If the infrastructure ie.railway goes ahead as promised then Im sure it SP will improve. Im sure if you go to their website and announcements you will come up with plenty of hints as to why their SP is languishing. AGO dropped also from Mid $4's to now 70 cents so go figure.

Melua hadnt planned on holding just got caught out.

Admit could have dumped the wrong with with KNL. That is not saying its a bad stock just saying my timing for profits was off should have realised graphite was over hyped with TON it still is worth 50% minimum of where it is now just have to wait this one out.

I am interested in the lithium you have though Im thinking RDR. But since I couldnt stand another banter about Lithium I want to know your pick before I start. rolleyes.gif

Thanks for BML I obviously got in too late for that at 33 and dumped that as it went down to 23.

Not to say I havent had some good ones LNG from 68 was a good pick so top that Melua.

Graphite has stuffed me totally up and Im not very patient lately.

Now that I agree with the graphite sector is pretty sick atm and I am now researching lithium. It has been a situation of jump into this and now its time to jump into that lately and you have to be faster than a speeding bullet not to get caught. I certainly felt the pain on KNL and lost several weeks profits on the dam thing.

I dont think TON is as bad a stock as being made out to be here its just trending with the sector. Its obviously a large resource they have but like SYR everyone has to get some money to produce. Im sure I wont be around to see that bit.

Anyway I wish some people would pick some winners and let us all in its so easy to bad mouth stocks that have fallen almost 50% hindisight is wonderful.

Melua Ill have to let you win because I have other things to do and am happy for you to have the last word. However since we are pinching quotes

"Brad Boyle said: With the presence of both high grade graphite and vanadium, the Nicanda Hill prospect continues to deliver on every front and is currently looking to grow into one of the largest graphite project in the world..'

Going on your obvious professional opinion and well researched knowledge of graphite I would think that its now obvious to me that BB must be totally mad poor man. Over to you.

I have earmarked and become detached from myself as it suggests now Ive realised TON will go up one of these days and in fact my disaster is not that bad just a buy in I forgot about but the worst nightmare I have is with BML it is according to so many people not only here but over there going to be the next best thing since the wheel was invented well its so dam good its doing worse than TON, Now that is one I should have dumped when I had the chance.

Other than that I have a couple of ones that are treating me kindly.

I cant see it going down to 50 to be honest maybe 56 but then I would be suprised it may just go to 80 next week and shoot all those charts in the foot.

I think today was a positive owing 100% of something is far better than what we had before. I think SYR still has a good chance of being taken over so we should move towards that $1 by Xmas surely maybe sooner.

Well Arty you've got one red stick going up and one red stick going down support level at 25 but white stick says it could go down to 22. Thats my take on it.

Whilst you are at it do you think TON is going down as I want to buy some. Elliott says could go around 49 mark at worst I guess but its holding at 60 levels also SYR has put on a few cents today so was wondering if 60 was support level.

I really didnt expect 26 today with the DOW up 111 and the good news was yesterday I thought it would be around 29-31 cant understand the pullback but then cant understand those charts.

I dont think LNG cares about TA or fundamentals it must have somethng pretty good going for it in the eyes of those large institutions but Ive been only buying small amounts and selling each day.

My guess would be all those big institutions buying up are not likely to be selling anytime soon so perhaps its $3 next week its like dipping into a lucky dip because no way of telling.

Thats it unless you are LT its impossible to trade after it has risen so high in just the past two days let alone a four bagger in about 5 weeks or less Im not counting.

I just cant believe what it does every day wish there were more of them out there.

Morning remif I feel exactly the same as you do. This morning there are plenty of orders going through but tiny ones so that makes me more nervous. Cant help feeling its bring primed for another fall like we had a couple of weeks ago. But who knows you would have to have a cyrstal ball it could be $10 next week for all I know. It is making me nervous I havent got the investment you have but cant afford to lose what Ive got either.

I am looking to hold now just a few to trade.

yes its been wild trouble is the ones i had to start with I sold a couple of times because I thought it would tank so lately Im buying tiny parcels because I cant believe it can continue so having said that it will probably go to $5. I sold some today bought in at 1.58 was going out so sold 1.77 thinking it wont make that so I can play with it when I get back so as you know got back in and it was over $2 so totally spewed.

Now I am wondering if its going to do what it did 10 days ago and that is drop as fast as it went up so now that makes me a fraidy cat. Oh for some steel in my nervous system. weirdsmiley.gif

So true Arty I had LNG on radar from 60's but bought in at 80's and been trading.

AGO looks set for the 40's I have a feeling.

BCI if that goes under the $3 could be a buy with the divi's but there are a few interesting ones floating around that are keeping me busy.

Nice to see someone else in this one. Seems institutions must be still buying up which is nice to see. LNG is going to be one of the first to produce in the US which is quite a feat in itself.

Perhaps there is a bit more going on behind the scenes we not privvy to but quite happy how its going to date.

It seems to have the largest graphite/graphine deposit or so the company says. I like it because it is in europe and close to transport but havent bought yet as I am in others. Its getting away in SP wish I had bought a week ago but if it pulls back to 25 this week I will take a punt. It also has other minerals I think from memory.

Thanks Arty yes Ive read that I dont think there is much I havent read being the imbecile fundamentalist that I am - for what reason I read them I dont have a clue because I dont believe those media articles give us much indicationt its all what should be but often turns out the opposite.

I sold today again for a loss but could have been a larger one I am thinking if I held, even though I believe the company is undervalued as you point out market sentiment is not in favour of iron ore and now there is too much going on with those ports and Arrium thrown into the mix and FMG wanting to jump on the wagon so as to speak or should that be port - well all that points to no partnership IMO with FMG so until a train comes along it is going to be a sad story here.

Now watch it fly and the train pop up tomorrow.

If there was much around on the ASX that I had confidence in I would be out of iron ore and into it but not much moves more than 1 cent unless you own the banks etc and anything that I fancy could be ok I am too wary to take the risk again. I like NST but think its almost at its high and unless there is provocation from Russia to a large extent then gold is going to sit around the 1290-1400 mark IMO which is a guess.

Hi Arty so are you saying the green is growing downwards towards 87 and with support being 96 and if all the starts align we could see 110.

Or is that all total dreaming on my part.

Last week iron ore was the 'now' thing at last now its a dirty word - again.

Hi Flower DRM, NST honestly what would it matter if there was gold nuggets falling from the sky it seems to me that nothing is moving the share market here I agree those two seem to be a couple that will do well in a rising gold market but I cant see many people here on SS raking it in.

I even thought today we are trading the wrong country we should be trading US because it seems to me they do have stocks that have growth we can now look forward to pretty well nothing because another excuse is on the way the "Budget".

Unless you mave a major revelation in your sleep any stocks that I am looking at rise and fall 1 cent and you have to be a magician or totally off your rocker to take a punt.

Im sitting on a few and on the occasion I see one that goes up 5 cents but usually the type of stock I wouldnt look twice at.

So what Im really saying is - what on earth are you all making $$ at because I want the recipe. smile.gif

Arty we are pathetic individuals waiting for a disaster or a war to send the gold up or for the Fed's to open their big mouths about how bad things are going.

NST is one of the best gold stocks around I think but i dont think its going to get to $2 in a hurry unsure.gif

Im happy with anything that moves but business confidence seems low perhaps waiting for the budget.

HI Cooderrman I wasnt having a go at your charts I do like people putting them up sometimes its helpful I was referring to a person on the other forum who keeps shoving Elliott Wave patterns in our faces but its ok he has been put in the naughty corner already ..

I hope iron ore doesnt go down over the weekend I would like to get back in AGO its very tempting trouble is everytime I do I get burnt somehow, when I think it cant go any lower IT DOES.

March is normally a good month so maybe Ill just take my luck as it comes and go boots and all .

So disappointing really the rail talk and then zilch makes me wonder if it is a phantom in KB's head.

I love Qantas but planes need updating and maintenance needs to be carried out in this country so that may give people lots of jobs and make sure our planes are safe.
It is a business afterall and if they cant run it at a profit then it needs to be taken over and run by people who know what they are doing but keep it under the Oz banner
I know someone who could fix their bottom line P Costello he would soon have it firing.

Badly managed cant be anything else.

Gov should dip in short term until its sorted by competent management.

Cooderman there is one fellow 'over there' that keeps plugging his EW charts trouble is he has been right it did go to 97 as he first said now he says could be in the 80's if it doesnt cross some line to be honest Id love to shove that chart and his lines.

Its bad enough watching stuff happen without having it rammed down throats.

I know it cant be all positive but trouble is its NEVER positive.

Melua we like following you about because the pic is so pretty. To be truthful I dont think any of us follow anyone here we all like to make our own mistakes without any help.

I am guilty I must say of asking Arty ridiculous questions but thats because I still find charts impossible.

I research most things and still am waiting for a 10 bagger I look at all the fundamentals of what the directors ate for dinner even and it makes no dam diff the market does what it wants without any reasoning needed whatsoever I look forward to the days fundamentals catch up.

So dont go just have a great long weekend and get over whatever it is.

p.s. if you talking about TON I bought some but to be honest I havent read any posts here on it or most posts lately because they are always the same BCC or similar and mostly are stocks I havent the slightest interest in. I cant trade in 0.5 of a cent because I dont have the funds. Go have a drink.

I think I read on "The West" yesterday that AGO had given a contract for around 23million to upgrade their roads, not sure that is such a positive for any rail happening soon.
