Waiting for the identity of these new and existing investors to be made public.

Not sure they will be.

If the recent buyers and/or seller's don't think it's necessary to file SSH notices why should anyone else?

Especially if it's going to give the game away.

Heres the headline of MSB and what its doing in a trading halt. Trying to raise $100m for Covid treatment.

Therein lies the clue as to why I think MSB is toast. Or at least yesterdays poster child. Covid is a lung based disease which hijacks the cells RNA. A nasal spray or an inhaler for delivery of a siRNA modified therapeutic will offer greater efficacy than stem cells hands down.

When you have the NIH paying for your PIII trials and $60m in the bank with expected milestones if your trials are on track and successful, whats the need for another $100m?
There must be a rat in the kitchen.

Serial capital raiser Mesoblast is back in front offund managers seeking another equity top up.

This time it is asking for$100 million to help develop its COVID-19 angle, which involves using one ofits stem cell products to treat patients with acute respiratory distress syndrome caused by the coronavirus.

One thing is for certain, if there is no big noting name in the outcomes of this trading halt, then at this stage of the game, the writing is on the wall for MSB. They will be gazumped by MRNA or someone else.

Have to remember, stem cells are a modality for delivery. And if you have to rely on the bone marrow donations of someone else to get your tonic, well...the limitations are obvious.
Have seen a few of the stem cell specialists fall by the wayside over time. MSB could be next.

Is this where Pfizer, ALNY, MRNA or somebody swoops in and buys out SI for a huge premium?

A huge premium for the balance of what they have bought so far without disclosure.

Does it matter what I say? You have all the answers (opinion) already.

Good luck and whatever happens we will know soon.

MSB not in the race by all accounts.
NIH has submitted to PIII trial costs but sometimes these things don't make the final cut. A bit like tape in a film come editing time. Gets left behind because something else was deemed to be better. Just like being gazumped.

If none of them are siRNA modified the way the MRNA therapeutic is then most likely they are all old hat.

That's how a gazumping happens. Someone comes in over the top of you with something better leaving your best efforts unwanted and useless.

So, are they?

Please check the share price before Covid.

MSB has an accepted BLA for Ryoncell to treat AGVHD in children with Priority Review.
They have 2 phase 3 read outs due in the coming months.
They have over 1000 patents covering the use, manufacture and delivery of stem cells world wide.

Covid is not their end game, they have been given a free shot (government funded trial) to see if their cells work in Covid induced ARDS.
Anything they can gain from this opportunity is merely a bonus on top of their pipeline.

Worth noting the NIH involvement in the MRNA trial as well as the MSB. Makes me wonder if the 600 people participating may've been diverted from a MSB trial.
