Odd they have entered into another facility so soon after the NAB - which they now plan to extinguish - and at terms that appear (to me) not as attractive as NAB's.

Could this impact on NCZ's shipping operations?

Floodwater swells Queensland’s Flinders River into a 60km-wide ‘mega river’
QUOTE
It’s a river unlike any in Australia — and a fortnight ago it barely existed.

In northern Queensland, record rain has created an instant “mega river” so immense it can be clearly seen on satellite imagery.

In parts, the Flinders River is now so swollen with floodwater it’s expanded to a width of 60 kilometres from bank to sodden bank.

On Wednesday, the Bureau of Meteorology said the Flinders “is currently experiencing its most significant flood in at least the last 50 years”.

Its turgid, muddy waters are full with floodwater slowly making its way from the state’s interior to the Gulf of Carpentaria. The unique geography of the area has exacerbated the impact on the river.

On satellite imagery the massively-widened river can easily be seen in the north of the state.

Also visible is the brown cloudy swirls of stained water emptying into the usually pristine waters of the gulf. The flow is choked with debris, soil and dead cattle.

A major flood warning remains in place for the system.

QUOTE
At 1000km long, the Flinders is the longest river in Queensland and drains a vast area of some 108,000sq km. On its way it passes by towns including Richmond, Hughenden and Julia Creek, many of which have been affected by the floodwater.

Only the final 70km of the river, as it nears the Gulf of Carpentaria close to the small town of Karumba, holds water all year round.

then you add to that the cold, the wet and the wind.”

QUOTE
The new Flinders “mega river” will shrink back to its regular size once the remaining floodwater drain its way to the gulf, but that could be well into next week, Mr Sharpe said.

Noticed MMG Limited (previous owner of Century Zinc and current owner of Dugald River zinc mine) issue a profit warning today ->

to the net profit after tax of US$348.4 million recorded for the financial year ended 31 December 2017
(FY2017)

One of the reasons given ->

There hasn't been a single announcement/update from the company since 20 November 2018 - two months ago. No mention of the planned December 2018 shipment

Tweets from the company = 0. https://twitter.com/nczresources?lang=en
Tweet from Tolga Kumova@KumovaTolga over a year ago - 3 Jan 2018, which was retweeted by shimmer

$NCZ Our little baby getting some coverage on Sky News lastnight from my mate @TonyLocantro. New century is projected to be the 5th largest zinc mine in the world. Credit Suisse investment bank analyst valued our company at $3.75 a share or $2.1 billion at a $1.45 lb

https://twitter.com/KumovaTolga/status/948661577510666240
The SP did reach a high of $1.47 shortly after that - on 26 February 2018

Not sure if there was a time frame for the $3.75 valuation to be achieved - usually it's 12 months - currently it looks like this......
Last price = 69.5¢
Current Mkt cap $365.3M

Evan Cranston hasn't tweeted about NCZ since October 2018 - https://twitter.com/EvanCranston?lang=en

Might have to wait until the end of the month for a Quarterly update. - which mostly will be a commentary on already announced news.

Meanwhile short positions are now 2.26% as at 14 January 2019

Tropical Cyclone Owen reaches category three on NT coast, may develop to category four today

QUOTE
The cyclone is currently 95 kilometres south-east of Port Roper and 85 kilometres north-west of Port McArthur.

It is forecast to start moving slowly eastwards back towards the Queensland coast during Thursday.

As it tracks east, it is likely to pass close to Port McArthur.

The system is likely to cross the coast along the south-east Gulf of Carpentaria coast between Karumba to Pormpuraaw later on Friday, and there is a chance it could cross the coast as a category four system.

Tropical Cyclone Owen now has sustained winds near the centre of 150 kilometres per hour with wind gusts to 205 kilometres per hour.

Today, islands and coastal areas of the western and southern Gulf of Carpentaria are expected to receive heavy rainfall, which may lead to flash flooding.

As the cyclone approaches the coast, a storm tide between Port Roper in the Northern Territory and Karumba in Queensland may develop.

This could result in tides that are significantly higher than normal, damaging waves and minor flooding between Port Roper and Karumba.

Tides are also expected to be higher between Alyangula and Port Roper, with large waves that may produce minor flooding between the two areas.
