Hi Balance....I am interested to know if the ATO has a definition of ' at risk ' .

I have wondered at times if shares are really at risk on a Saturday and Sunday and if the 45 days relates to calendar days or business days....I have always assumed calendar days, but have not been able to find an ATO definition.

If they cut the div by half, there could be a sustained sell-off by those who bought it for the yield & the GUARANTEED dividend....the price could dive as they run for the exits.

i believe MTS is oversold & due for a bounce, but thats just my opinion & that wont influence the market... the weekly chart shows it going sideways at present....I dont care for indicators such as MACD RSI etc...just the price.

Hi Duster,

Etrade's market depth calculates both ASX & CXA simultaneously & indicates which exchange each trade went through.....my problem is,if the market depth is showing 35million,why isnt that showing in the same stock in the portfolio section.

I believe that if the information in etrade market depth is correct, then it should be reflected in my portfolio.

Currently, etrade market depth for TLS is 31.5 million....in the etrade portfolio it is 24.5 million.....that has not been the case to until recently & it is not acceptable to be quoting price & volume with such inaccuracy.

For a few weeks now I have been experiencing problems of inaccurate volume & price in my etrade portfolio.....e.g.
TLS my etrade portfolio shows volume at 18 million & price at $5.085

Moving to market depth, shows volume at 21 million & price at $5.09.

Then moving back to my etrade portfolio, shows volume still at 18 million & price still at $5.085.

There have been much wider readings as the trading day gets longer.

I have tried to contact Etrade & get the usual "Due to High demand at this time".....which is short for.....you will grow old & die before we will answer your call.

I am posting this in the hope Etrade monitor internet posts regarding their problems.

I purchased my second parcel of MTS last july for $3.30, which represents a gross div/franking return of 12.1%....at that rate I will not be selling them.

Hi daggie,

As Carsha said,to answer your question is difficult as we each have different financial situations, objectives & timeframes.

I note you are a long term investor, so whichever course of action you decide to choose, I don't think it will mater in the long term.

Regards,
Bob.

Hi Daggie,

I don't think you would be eligible for the div as T+3 would see your settlement well after the ex-div date.

Also, I am buying permanently & therefore the lower the purchase price...the higher the % return over many dividend dates.

Regards,
Bob.

Hi Merc,

The f/c EPS & DPS for Y13 & Y14 are up for both in both years....but it didn't help the share price on friday.
On friday the share price fall didn't budge when the XAO went up 50 pts on EU news....my assumption from that is, although the instos liked it, the average punter didn't....could be they had purchased at a higher price & had hit their stops.

I would like to purchase MTS on tuesday at around $3.20 as it would represent a 13% nett rtn for me in Y13.....but I would be happy with your target of $3.30.

Regards,
Bob.

MTS goes ex-div on tuesday....so the price should fall again...a div of 16.5c plus franking...I hold MTS for income and will be looking to add on tuesday.
