QUOTE
Entering the ASX/200 should be a moment of celebration for any biotech start-up. For Silvio Itescu, the multimillionaire founder and chief executive of stem cell group Mesoblast, it should be an even-greater triumph after a fourfold surge in the stock price spurred by an announcement that the company was assessing one of its drug candidates as a treatment for COVID-19 patients. On June 12, Mesoblast re-entered the ASX/200 as other healthcare companies Estia Health and Mayne Pharma dropped out.

But it's been a roller-coaster ride and Itescu is still fending off critics. They say he is yet to prove the company's worth at over $2.3 billion, and note the regenerative medicine group is yet to produce a major commercial product despite raising over $1 billion in fresh equity since listing on the ASX in 2004 at just 50 per share.

Long-time backers .... say Mesoblast is on the cusp of the next frontier in medicine. .....But critics ask why, if its prospects really are so good, some voracious pharma giant hasn't bought Mesoblast out or partnered with it after the better part of two decades plying its trade?....

Despite the big name support, the market is still split. Several analysts and fund managers say they lost interest after it failed to deliver on its "big promises" for many years.

"They have been just around the corner (from the next big breakthrough) for some time," says a portfolio manager. "Investors in this space do need to be patient. But good drugs don't tend to jump from indication to indication. I think Mesoblast started off in arthritis and now they're looking at COVID-19. They must've have tried at least ten indications.".....

The A in MAGA stands for America, not Australia. MSB gonna be gazumped.

Stem cells for a lung infection! Who do they think they are kidding?

The biggest giveaway is the HC pump storm going on. The second biggest is no SSH notices. Someone hiding something is my guess as to why.

MRNA up 25% just in one days trading. Not to mention the several hundred this year. When you see things like this at this stage of the game, you know MSB is not in the running. Its just a huge pump and dump.

Still no SSH notices despite the huge volumes traded and new shares on issue.

Am I the only one who can smell a rat?

MSB gets a mention in this very good article. Although not by name. Just in the all inclusive catch all monikers referencing everything outside that which is mentioned.
This recent activity suggests to me MSB is a giant pump and dump and those in the know, know MSB is not in the game. One bad read out in just one aspect of their trial is going to blow this thing out of the water.

More than 100 different programs are now under way seeking to develop a Covid-19 vaccine. Most will fail. Understanding which ones among the pack have the best shot at working well enough, and being distributed widely enough, to rein in the coronavirus is crucial to predicting what social and economic life could be like over the next few years.
------------------------------------------------------------
There are, however, serious risks. Shares of smaller biotechs like Moderna, Novavax (NVAX), and Inovio Pharmaceuticals (INO) have surged on enthusiasm for their Covid-19 vaccine programs, despite the companies having no marketed products. Those stocks face steep drops if their Covid-19 vaccines fall through.

43m new shares get minted today and placed with new and existing holders so they are ready for sale on Monday. But nobody is to know who the new owners because the need to file SSH notices doesn't apply to MSB and their holders. Yet we are all supposed to toot our own horn every time the price goes up a few percentage points.

The volume today is astonishing. 5% of total issue. The new shares aren't on issue and available for sale until Monday.

What is with the volume today?

Still no SSH notices. Somebody is flouting the rules. They must be powerful and important enough to know they can without any repercussion because the ASX and ASIC are weak and self serving.
