Ngalia Basin could be far enough south to miss the major impact of the wet but I couldn't be certain having never been there at that time of year. Also the southern extent can vary from year to year.Whatever, the drilling may be able to go ahead over Xmas although access may be a bit variable.

Which ever the crew is going to be in for a pretty warm hitch.

What we need as shareholders is samples with really good assays and sooner the better.

Check out the difference in buying and selling depth for RTM

Buyer 7,000,000 plus

Seller 70,000 plus

Should put on a bit of upward pressure on SP.

The AGM must be an interesting little afaire.

Whats this about $3.00 by the years end.

Lets not stuff around here, the way its going and from whats in front of us in the way of announcements lets talk about $5.00 by new year and then a steady run to $20-25.

Want to put 1000 PXS on it.

Also remember you can get a pretty high margin leverage ratio on BNB so you don't nesseccarily tie up capital.

Hey barracuda,

If I remember my rheology correctly,if you assume the same fluid pressure and fluid viscosity you can also assume a corrected fluid flow conversion from an 8.7mm choke to a 12.7mm (1/2")choke is proportional to the ratio of the area of those choke appatures.

A 12.7mm has an appature area 2.12 times that of an 8.7mm choke so we can make a rough guess at what flow we would have gotten with a 12.7mm choke.Towit 6382bbl/day of oil.

If we also assume my memory is correct, and has been known to be on occassion in the past,we have a pretty good result for the latest Jeruk test.

Given this, this little fat boy is holding.

Homermcc,

Oil resevoirs, especially carbonate ones, can be complex things, over time they can even effectively be moving targets.

GOR can be important as they can actually help production over time as its elasticity combined with a bit a pressure can help force the oil to the surface.I think this is called gas lift.

Your right the stabised flow rate along with the net pay is what early days are all about.

If it means anything,I'm one of the optimists.I think this is a good report and will be hanging on.I just think that maybe the market was expecting 7000bbl/d and it might take a little time to digest what I beleive is a good result.

Take a squiz at the Cue presentation to that oilies conference in Perth today.reads pretty good.

Bring on the obcenities.

Homermcc,

If I remember rightly the higher the gas oil ratio the more viscous the fluid. But the flow rate is not affected by this and the flow is valid as the fluids should have been sepparated.

The higher the GOR the lower the density but this does not affect the API gravity number.

Any water produced should be reported but none was so we are apparently above it and we have a net pay of at least 75 meters depending on the angle of the deviation.

As I said I wonder why they done'nt go deeper while still in pay.I donen't know and I would really like to.

It's really a pretty good report but a bit diguised.

As you would know the market is as much about psychology as about barrels of oil per day.For all our sakes I hope the optimists are out in force at opening tomorrow.

All the best and may your profits be obcene.

3000 bbl oil/day through 22/64" choke.

If I remember rightly the big test of 7000bbl/d was through a 1/2" choke. If the last test had been the same choke diameter I wonder if the flow would have been of the same order.

Also flow restricted by by surface facillities?

The accompaying gas flow was interesting.Do we have gas lift here?Sounds like a maybe.

Test was over the section 5027 to 5102 MD.A 75 meter test interval with packer presumably set at the top of the reservoir. No water reported produced.Sounds like we haven't hit the oil-water contact so still in oil.TD declared at 5102m.Wonder why they donen't drill on past the interpretted O_W contact?

Thanks Thevibes,

aware of the different types of porosity in carbonates though I have only I little experience with them. The vast majority of my exposure is to clastic reservours.

What little carbonate experience I have tells me that quality can vary greatly and they can go from dribblers to boomers. The thing is that a couple of thousand barrels of HF down the gullet can make things seriously interesting.

What I found really interesting in what you wrote was the proximity of that 7000bbl/d flow.
I was wondering about that.Do you recall the length of the straddle as this one looks to be about 50 meters and I have the impression that that is considerably less that previous DST intervals.

Jeruk 2 Sidetrack.Yet another stuffup.Wonder why STO backdates the activity report to
0300 11/8/05.

Tomorrows ann from Cue might tell us something but going back to 4400 odd meters and a probable need to cut a window in casing means more time and a probable loss of patience by the market.

The Chinese were said to put a lot of faith in a slow drip to torment people apparently the Sandgropers have been taking lessons.

That sort of porosity can have interesting features. Is it tectonic fracturing or recrystalisation fracturing?

STO announcemaent:

Preparing to do DST through casing after running logs.Sounds like they got something.

If the DST is valid, and though casing it should be, and the reservour has good properties watch out for a large volume flow of formation fluid whatever that may be.

Good news at Jeruk + high oil prices = big SP rise = big $ in bank.

Carp.....,

Anything that goes down an oil well can potentially cause trouble.Even the drill string.

This is particularly the case in deviated holes. The main problems are:

1. Keyseating in which an item, in this case the wireline tries to cut corners particularly when pulling out and cuts into the borehole wall and gets stuck.

2. Differential sticking in which case there is an imballance between the hydrostatic pressure in the hole and the pore pressure in the formation and the wireline gets sucked up against the well wall and again gets stuck.

When trying to recover a stuck wireline they have to be pretty carefull as the line can break.Big problems. In this case a sort of jag is lowered on the end of the drill string and the string rotated to entangle the wireline. If this fails things get even more interesting and time consuming and in the offshore oil patch that meens big $ and your in deep dunny doo.

From the sound of it at this stage they got a good show (indications of oil in the drilling mud) and tried to run an RFT (repeat formation tester) which is a tool that sort of shimmies up to the formation, gives it a good kiss and sucks out a bit of formation fluid.Hopefully oil.Although this is a small sample it can often give a better idea of the nature of the formation fluid that a DST.

If anyone from CUE or STO is monitoring this I would be interested in your comments.

Big pity about RTM SP.

But my cousin has a better sugestion for making real money.

If you place your bank book under a frame pyramid and surround it with the right combination of crystals and magnets and leave it overnight on a full moon. In the morning you will find that the balance has increased 17 fold.

My cousin says its a fact and she knows.Shes an expert in such things.

Then again my cousin spends copious amounts of time having long, involved and apparently very interesting conversations with the beings in electric sockets...................???????????????

But you must admit its a less risky bussiness that investing in RTM.SHE hasen't lost copious amounts money lately.Unlike HER cousin.

On the basis of what I got there I come up with a price for Mo at about $A138,000/t.

Does that sound right? If it is its going in the right direction.

By the way everyone I seem to have found a hill with rather a lot of the stuff in it with rock chip assays going up to 14000ppm Mo in porphyry.

I have the area covered by a couple of granted ELs.

Hey GB,

My calculator says that 9 pence is equal to $A0.2142857142 or there abouts.

Your conversion of 9 pence to $A0.35 leads me to consider several possibilities:

1. Your calculator has gone belly up.

2. My calculator has gone the same way.

3. Something really strange has happened to stirling that I'm unaware of.

4. Something just as strange has happened to the $A that I'm equaly unaware of.

5. That Yalumba is doing weard things to your aim on the calculator and you should try to take it easy.Failing that consider rehab and a 12 step program.

6. I'm schizoid,I'm having a delusional episode and this is only in MY head and if your taking this seriously you've got problems too.

As always.

Stuffed up the formation test.Damn have to wait another week.

They did however recover some oil which goes a little way to proving up the reservior.

Wonder if they will test through the liner or drill a bit further and do a conventional DST on a lower part of the reservior.

Not a negative result by any means. We have learnt that there IS oil down there.Just not the really good result we were looking for. That seems to be in the future.

heres to an outrages flow rate announcement next Thursday.

Looking back at your articles I see seem to be getting quite a lot of info and analysis from various brokers.

Could you let me know some of these as mine knows absolutely nothing?

My grandma wasn't bald or skinny. She was 6"3.Weighed 23 stone and had hair on her chest (so I'm told). She also wore boiler suits and real big Blundies.

Show some respect for a blokes g'ma.

Waiting on the answer to a query sent to the MME re RTM leases.

Will foreward it on if and when it arrives.

GG,

Are you still predicting RTM @ 25 cents and RTMO @ 15 cents on a double barreled announcement re licences and drill assays or has that changed?

By the way hows the flu?

My g'ma anways treated it with a mixture of molasses and sulphur washed down by copious quantities of schlivovitz. In later life I think she substituted metho for schlivovitz.

Come to think of it she seemed to have the flu an awfull lot.But she still died at 98 and still was able to swing a blockbuster to split her firewood.

RTM going down again.

Just checked the London SE website to see if anything happened there over night.

Under RTM a notice was indicated but on checking it refered to another company with a similiar code.

Wonder if some people saw the notice but didn't check details and bought on speck.

Just a thought.Anyway a please explain from the ASX is probably on the way to Perth.

JoJo,

You do a good research job.Apparently Jeruk is a carbonate reservior and they can be real boomers. The initial flow rates were real high and only through a 1/2 inch choke if memory serves me right. Also I gather they had down hole equipment problems that limited the flow.

Considering that the flow rate that they did get was in the same order as the maximum recorded in Australia,if everything goes well any trouble free test in an interval of equivilant reseviour properties as those found in the original Jeruk 2 the results could make real good reading in the press and that of course means real good reading on any shareholders portfolio statement.

This is forming up to be one of my better punts.

Regards

Cutting casing at 3008m can be quite a long and labourious process and when this is completed that leaves about 2500m to TMD.

Also, pressumabley there will be cores cut and a series of DSTs along the way.So we could be in for a bit of a wait.Though it would be normal to cut a core of oil reservior and then do a DST so there could be repeated shots at trading.

I thought about them sitting on results too, but two things could be happening.

Firstly as I understand it the results have to be released as soon as the client knows them.If the results are sitting in an unopened envelope on the MDs desk,he has not received the information and is thus not obliged to pass them on to the ASX.I know this method has been used in the past in other situations but I donen't know if its OK these days.

Secondly the lab, which I understand is in South Africa, could be told to hold the results till further notice or delay doing the assays again pending further notice.

Just a thought.

Aquaintance has quoted BM when asked about the timing of release of assay results from RC drilling on Erongo PLs that they will "remain pending until a decision on the Erongo EPLs has been received from the MME".

Does this mean that the coming announcement could be double barreled.ie covering both the MME decision and the assay results.

Hi Tastarga,

The leases are in the southern Lachlan Fold Belt in NE Victoria. They have several positive hits for Mo.Historical production of about 340t of MoS2.Leases have defined geochem, magnetic,IP and resistivity anomalies.

Early days yet.Am getting together an information kit.It will include most previous work and a few academic papers.

If you send me an address I will send it to you when ready. If you want to stay anonymous line it up with your local post office and I'll send it there when ready.

Let me know either way.

Tex,

Far too little work done yet to evaluate find.Needs a lot more drilling to define. Also the occurence (as it is more properly considered at this stage) is apparently stucturally complex and by the sound of it will require considerable probing and interpretation.
