A couple of days ago our shares dropped $1.71 and I thought that was the shorters, but did someone out there know about this dreadful decision already??? Down over $3 in a week? The world out there hates CHINA because of the "virus" which they released on the World, and Wolgen makes a decision to "get in bed with them" this does not add up!!! Over and out.

PW "interviewed" about the China announcement from this morning. You might need to sign up to ausbiz (free) to watch it.

The questions asked aren't the most penetrating or relevant ones, but there are some mildly interesting details:

- discussions with Winhealth have taken 2 years (hmm, why no comments about China being a strategic goal previously?)
- local partner required since CUV doesn't know local healthcare practices well
- of the 35,000 hospitals in China, Winhealth has access to 2,000
- CUV is "confident of commercial success in China"- Winhealth has grown impressively, from 5 employees in 2006 to 1,000 now
- Japan is till a target

No comments on precise timing or process of pilot programme.
No discussion of process that would see pilot grow to full launch.
No discussion of commercial terms or pricing expectations (beyond vague comment that commercial success is expected).
No discussion of how intellectual property will be preserved and defended.
No discussion of Scenesse and it's relevance to Covid 19.
No statement if the first commercial US implant has actually yet taken place

It's a shame they haven't made more of what could be a very exciting long term development, and it's shame PW didn't consider the camera angle a bit more carefully prior to the interview.

Dr Wolgen is a magician. His end game for Scenesse will impress, or even amaze. En route, along with glimmers of truth, there will be distractions, illusions, sleight of hand and misdirection. Enjoy the ride.

"Our ability to bring this drug to market does not hinge upon its efficacy, but only on our ability to keep deadlines" Philippe Wolgen CEO March 2006. Remember this when the Chair or CEO get aggressive in response to questions about their execution against deadlines.

I wonder if we are seeing a negative reaction to the China announcement. The country pays scant regard to patents and has a proven capacity to reverse engineer. I am not a fan of this move.

I hesitate to go down this road, but would somebody mind posting the Level 2/Book Depth?

As usual we get great news and as usual the shorters come in and take CONTROL. Until we get rid of these shorters CUV doesn't go anywhere....just a fact.!

Very left field and pleasing not just from EPP perspective but future market. Of course as we see with Covid19, China is potentially problematic but we hope CUV maintains their integrity and property along the way.Might explain why we have not had much update on Japan at this stage. Any progress through this time is welcome but CUV is delivering nicely given we have all been a little frustrated with progress in the past.I think PW and team would be well aware if they had a useful compound against Covid19 and if it were possible and rewarding would have or would be discussing the prospect. My thinking is that they don't have a ready made compound that might be useful at this point so it only becomes a distraction. Two possible scenarios -Covid disappears like SARS or a vaccine arrives and if so where does it leave all those putting 100's of millions into possible treatments?CUV should remain focussed on their business plan and rollout primarily.
