Not a great day for resources!

MCR might be heading for a "cup of tea" break

QUOTE
Mincor has just raised $10m in an oversubscribed share placement and share purchase plan to fund more work at its Kambalda prospects, in view of restarting production in the short term. [It had curtailed its two Kambalda mines after 15 years of continuous operation]. The company also refers to "forecast growth in the nickel market over the next few years". Punters obviously agree.

Unusually, retail investors flocked to the SPP — so much so that the offer was increased from $3m to $4m. The now cashed-up company is kicking off a drilling campaign at its Cassini project in early February.

Mincor has extensive ground in the nickel-rich territory and is underpinned by resource of 99,000 tonnes (28,000 tonnes proven).

But it is gold, not nickel, that is likely to provide Mincor's short-term cash flow via its Widgiemooltha gold project.

Will be interesting to see how these stocks go in the longer term.... good potential IMHO for Ni and Cu given where batteries and renewable energy future should go

This is another one hitting a 50% fib level, but from a 12 month high.

It is still govelling in the dirt on the weekly chart.

And the weekly nickel chart says it all.

MCR suspended their Kambalda nickel mine in Q1603, and have since been titilating stock market fora with talk of gold exploration around Kambalda and at Widgiemooltha, WA. It seems to me a good strategy to generate a little cash flow to pay for C&M at the Nickel mine, but IMO it will take a decent recovery in the Ni price to see a full recovery in the price of this stock.

Went a lot higher than I thought it would on this move, and I was out too early.

Nice volume spike on 21/3.

Will be worth another look if it comes back below .70

This one is also worth a punt here imo.

Good looking chart with good buyer support currently.

Comments on Mincor?

Ni price is depressed = MCR SP is too! The second follows closely on the first!
