Where's this DFS? I held through the recent market hissy fit and confident we've seen the last of the 5 and 6 cent range so long as the DFS comes soon.

The article is incorrect anyway

Thats why they should release a proper press release. Not just rely on people making stuff up from asx releases.

I agree. This wasn't wrong information due to wishful thinking, this was a deliberate play on words. I really feel uncomfortable with that. Will keep SLA on my watch list and buy back if sales really happen.

Not only does that means sales decreased but also they are doctoring announcements with carefully worded sentences. I'll still hold but no way I'm buying more.

A simple press release doesn't cost much to drum up business. Once they have a good case study plus a website to buy Ropren from, they could submit the story to BusinessWire or something similar. Hundreds of news and health sites would then reproduce it.

Bought some back today to take a gamble on the April sales. I have a feeling that the initial sales update was under reported. They delayed the initial update but were still unable to get the numbers they wanted in time. Hopefully will show more than expected this month.

Nice update today and rise in SP. And now look to be involved in another drill mid May

QUOTE
Gene #1-22H (30.6% working interest)
As previously advised the Gene #1-22 well which is located in Williams County, North Dakota has
been completed as a 5,500 foot horizontal well in the Mississippian Middle Bakken Formation.
Operations to fracture stimulate the well commenced on Wednesday March 31st and Stages 1 and
2 were pumped on Thursday April 1st; this was followed by Stages 3 through 5 which were pumped
Friday and Saturday April 2nd and 3rd. The completion design is for a 16-stage fracture stimulation
so this initial operation amounts to approximately a third of the stimulation program.
Operations were suspended because of the Easter Sunday holiday and the well was flowed back
whilst the service company crews were off site.
The initial flow back results from the first 5 of a planned 16 multi-stage frac were undertaken on
Sunday April 4th. The rate at 0600 hours on Sunday was recorded at 913 mscfd of gas and 960
bopd which is a combined rate of 1,112 boepd.
The flow back continued into Monday April 5th and was recorded at 0800 hours on that day, at 650
mscfd of gas and 840 bopd which is a combined rate of 948 boepd.
The forward plan is to clean out some residual sand that was left in the well after Stage 5 using a
coiled tubing unit. This interim clean out is planned for today, Monday April 5th and the balance of
the frac stages (Stages 6 through 16) will be pumped during the balance of this week. Following
this, the well will be flowed back and the market will receive further advice on the results of the flow
back of the entire well.

Gary #1-24H (37% working interest)
The operator of the North Stockyard field has proposed and permitted the Gary #1-24H well which
is in the adjacent section to the Gene #1-22H well. Samson has yet to commit to drilling this well as
we were waiting to see the results from the Gene #1-22H frac. However the initial interim results
are encouraging and subject to finalizing the stimulation it is likely that Samson will elect to
participate in the Gary #1-24H well. The exact timing of the well has yet to be determined but could
be as early as mid May, or depending on the drilling sequence, mid June.

North Stockyard Field
Samson holds equity in 6 contiguous 640 acre sections associated with this project. Following the
completion of the Gene and Gary wells, Samson will have drilled 3 of these sections using a 640
acre drilling spacing, leaving 3 additional 640 acre locations to be drilled. Given the expected
drainage areas of these horizontal wells will be rectangular rather than square there should be a
further 4 wells locations available to take the development spacing to a 320 acre drainage area.
The Operator has indicated that it intends to maintain the contract on the Nabors 668 rig and
therefore Samson is expecting that the three additional 640 acre wells are likely to be drilled in the
balance of 2010.

I got a few more of the options yesterday to double my holding. I'm surprised the price hasn't run more on speculation, but I'm willing to hold a small amount through the test and see how it goes.

I like how they even contracted an advisor last week for development and commercialisation of the technology. They do seem confident.

I'm surprised there's not more people discussing this considering how much it keeps going up.
Its all hype based on 3M looking at the patch and the 1st Feb deadline to take it or leave it.

Market cap now roughly 60mil. Suggests they can make 3 million a yr profit.

They'll either make no profit - or way more depending on what 3M do. It could go either way..

PENOA at 3c strike price is pretty unlikely to be out of the money in 2012 when they should be in production by then. Thats why I did the swap for extra leverage. PENO is a bit more of a gamble but under 1c could pay off if the heads take off soon.

QUOTE
The Board of Golden Gate Petroleum Ltd (ASX:GGP) is pleased to advise the T.G.R. Land Company, Inc #1
well at Fausse Point is presently at a depth of 8,100 ft and drilling ahead.
The well has recorded its second significant gas show at around 8,010 ft. The well circulated high levels of
gas cut mud and the mud weight has been increased on several occasions after 4,000 to 6,000 unit gas
shows were recorded in what appears to be the initial sections of the primary target interval. Drilling rates
have been slowed as the high levels of gas are being circulated to surface and mud weights increased to
control the well and safely keep drilling through this highly gas charged interval.
The well spudded on Saturday 5 December 2009. The well is expected to take up to another 3 to 4 days to
reach its targeted depth and electric logs will be run over the open hole.
The first gas show recorded and logged at 7,000 ft is now safely behind 7 inch casing set at 7,671 feet. The
casing was pressure tested and then the shoe was drilled out. A satisfactory formation integrity test at the
shoe was performed prior to drilling ahead.
Comments
While this second gas show is very encouraging, the significance cannot be determined until a full electric
logging operation is completed once the well reaches targeted depth, and if warranted, a production testing
operation is conducted.

HYDROCARBON INDICATIONS AT FAUSSE POINT
The Board of Golden Gate Petroleum Ltd (ASX:GGP) is pleased to advise the T.G.R. Land Company, Inc #1
well at Fausse Point is presently at a depth of 7,695 ft and due to continuing elevated gas levels in the
wellbore the joint venture has undertaken an electric logging operation and prepared the well for setting
intermediate casing prior to drilling ahead to the primary objective.
Electric logs and sidewall core data has been acquired over the past 24 hours and are currently being
analysed. The electric logs have identified some hydrocarbons in the Cris 47 unit at around 7,000 feet which
is consistent with the mudlog shows reported previously. Oil indications are present in several of the sidewall
cores taken over the interval. Further analysis is required before providing estimates of net reservoir-quality
and sandstone thicknesses along with separate interpretations of possible net pay and resource potential.
Casing is currently being run down to 7,695 feet. Once in place, cemented and pressure tested, drilling
operations are expected to recommence within the next 3 to 4 days.
The well spudded on Saturday 5 December 2009. The well is expected to take another 10 days to reach its
targeted depth of 9,000 ft.

Comments
While logging operations and core data have indications of hydrocarbons, the significance cannot be
determined until a full analysis is completed over the coming days, and if warranted, a production testing
operation is conducted.

I'm sure the Salim deal was advantageous to both SLA and Salim otherwise it wouldn't have been agreed on. I'm just happy it pulled the share price out of the 7-10c trading range and it ensured working capital to tie us over to initial sales. (avoiding a capital raising at a lower price) Not to mention the extra sales they'll generate. I'm confident the 10 percent dilution will lead to more than ten percent extra revenue.

I'd like to know has any of the Ropren produced passed its use by date?
I know I had some Bio A once that was close to expiring and felt it didn't work as well as other fresher packs. Not sure if Ropren is the same but I'd be interested to know what happens to its effectiveness after a period of time in storage.

Can't make it on Wed due to work but look forward to reading this thread on the day.

On another note I've had a brief look through some Russian newspapers looking for news on Ropren. Didn't find anything but there does seem to be a few alcohol related stories.

QUOTE
Man dies after winning vodka-drinking competition
A vodka-drinking competition in a southern Russian town ended in tragedy with the winner dead and several runners-up in intensive care.
"The competition lasted 30, perhaps 40 minutes and the winner downed three half-litre bottles. He was taken home by taxi but died within 20 minutes," said Roman Popov, a prosecutor pursuing the case in the town of Volgodonsk. "Five contestants ended up in intensive care. Those not in hospital turned up the next day, ostensibly for another drink."
Popov said the director of the shop organising this month's contest had been charged with manslaughter. He had offered 10 litres of vodka to the competitor drinking the most in the shortest time.
Russians drink the equivalent of 15 litres of pure alcohol per head annually, one of the highest rates in the world. Some experts estimate one in seven Russians is an alcoholic.

Army called in to save beer
Russia’s infatuation with beer has grown steadily over recent years and the army is no exception. So, when soldiers were called in to bolster a week-long struggle to rescue 10 tonnes of beer trapped under Siberian ice, it only took them a day to retrieve it…the delivery lorry didn’t really matter.
The lorry carrying the beer sank when trying to cross the frozen Irtysh River, and a rescue team of six divers, 10 workers and a modified T-72 tank have managed to save the load, but not the truck. The driver managed to jump to safety before the lorry sank.
''The situation hasn't developed according to our ideal scenario,'' the deputy head of the Cherlaksky region, told the agency. Temperatures were around minus 27 degrees Celsius (minus 17 degrees Fahrenheit) in the region, near the Siberian city of Omsk and around 2,200 km (1,400 miles) from Moscow.
The soldiers eventually managed to retrieve the barrels of beer but the rope holding the lorry snapped and it slipped back under the water. The local Omsk brewery where the delivery had been destined to arrive said the freezing temperatures probably kept the quality of the beer from deteriorating and said it will still accept the consignment. It plans to sell the beer at a discount.

I bought for .27 and am still holding. Hopefully today won't be too bad. The goal is to sell the heads soon and hold vilo free carried through the results.

Lets hope uranium gets more attention after Copenhagen too. I keep topping up on PENOA in the meantime tongue.gif

I'm just wondering since they already announced that sales will commence in late November then we shouldn't necessarily expect another one again to say its started. Why announce something twice? Anyway I guess we'll hear the details on the 9th.

Strange to do a raising before spud announcement. It would only attract investors with a high risk appetite. Unless they announce a new project at the same time.

Its 10c strike price. So basically this drill has to be successful for them to be in the money. If you like high risk high return you can't beat VILO because there's a good chance of a 20 bagger in a few weeks.

I'm trying to work out whats the chance of success. I've read that Fausse Point is backed up with 3d seismic coverage giving somewhere between 40% - 70% chance of success.

I think I'll sell most before results and hold a few free carried. A 50% chance of a ten bagger is better than the casino.

I went to a wedding last night and caught up with a friend who I recommended to try Bio A about a 6 weeks ago. She had been suffering sever reflux and stomach issues and was on prescription meds for it. Caused by too many NSAIDS for back pain. She was thanking me saying the stomach issues are almost completely gone and she was even able to drink alcohol again without any acid reflux. And her husband has been taking them for a hang over cure and swears by Bio A just for that alone. So there's two more repeat customers no doubt spreading the word on to others. Makes me feel a bit better about the investment in SLA.

I suspect this will act like a junior miner doing an oil drill. It will definitely rise on speculation and potential leading up throughout November/December, and then will either drop suddenly or take off depending on the result. For me its at least worth holding now during the drill period.

Since this was already announced

"Due to the enormous efforts of SibEX Director, Alexander Kurganov, his team and
Branko Jovanovic, CEO of Solagran (who is currently in Russia), an infrastructure
and distribution network for the sale of Ropren within the whole of Russia is in the
final stages of being established. The big launch is scheduled for the second half of
November
."

I don't think staff buying shares would be insider trading.

From Allergan: (who make Botox)

PREVAGE® MD is an innovative anti-aging treatment representing the next generation of
topical antioxidants. PREVAGE® MD contains the highest concentration (one percent) of
idebenone, the most potent antioxidant currently available in a skin care product, to help
correct the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and protect against environmental factors
including sun damage, air pollution and cigarette smoke. PREVAGE® MD anti-aging
treatment is available exclusively through dermatologists’ and plastic surgeons’ offices
without a prescription.

It would be interesting to compare idebenone to bioeffectives in a trial.
If its better it would be a good way to promote the cosmetic range.

Has anyone else found when on BioA they tend to drink more and more often like a 20 yr old would?
I also noticed when I stop taking bio and go back to being a mere mortal I drink much less and get the hangovers again.

I find it strange that they think Bio A will help with ‘alcohol abstinence maintenance’.
It will be interesting to see the results of the trial. Maybe I'm just a one off.

You can only market things this badly if you make an effort to not advertise, to remove things from websites and to not employ sales people. The only reason they would do this is because they want the share price to remain low until they get ANZ dollars back to buy back the shares.

I'm looking forward to seeing this new website they are working on. Hopefully they'll do some google adwords campaigns to go with it. Here's one...

Solagran Limited Announces Phase II Clinical Trials Results
Wednesday, 9 Mar 2005 09:00am EST
Solagran Limited announced that the Company has received the final report on the results of the Phase II clinical trials of Bioeffective in the treatment of chronic liver disease that were completed in late 2004. Analysis of enzyme content in blood plasma (which characterizes hepatocyte function) showed highly elevated levels of ALT and AST before beginning of treatment. After completion of the 12-week treatment course, this index returned to normal levels in patients treated with both Ropren (the finished form pharmaceutical containing Bioeffective) and the comparator. However, positive changes in ALT levels were noted after four weeks in the group treated with Ropren, versus eight weeks for the comparator group. Before the start of treatment, fasting blood serum glucose levels in both groups exceeded the upper normal limit by an average of 11%. For patients treated with Ropren, normalisation of this indicator of carbohydrate metabolism was noted at practically all treatment stages. The final Medical Academy of Postgraduate Studies in St Petersburg report concludes that Ropren is both safe and effective, and recommends that Ropren be registered as an active hepatoprotector for prevention and treatment of chronic hepatobiliary system disease.

RINGINGCEDARSOFRUSSIA.ORG RELEASES PINE NUT OIL RESEARCH SHOWING THAT DIGESTIVE AND STOMACH DISORDERS RESPOND TO UNIQUE SUPER FOOD: SIBERIAN PINE NUT OIL
RingingCedarsofRussia.org released research this month demonstrating why the cold pressed oil of Siberian Cedar nuts, also known as Pinus Sibirica, has been considered an ancient super food. In a clinical trial conducted by Professor A. B. Krivosheev from the City Clinical Hospital of Novosibirsk # 1 with wild harvested, cold pressed, extra virgin Siberian pine nut oil, very favorable results were found. Pine nut oil was proven effective against the real threat of modern day health problems, notably stress-related illnesses and emotional instabilities. The full version available at www.PineNutOil.org.

The researchers found that with an intake of Siberian pine nut oil, which remained biologically active because it was cold pressed (bearing the Ringing Cedars of Russia trademark), "a significant and reliable improvement" was noted in the quality of life indicators used as test-measures. They also noted that the use of this apparent super food was "especially effective in the complex treatment of erosive ulcerous lesions of the stomach." But remarkably, besides reduced inflammation of stomach mucosa and the duodenum, it also improved emotional reactions and restoration of sleep. The unique qualities which moved the Siberian pine nut oil into the super food category were attributed to its very high levels of numerous essential nutrients unique to this wild harvested Siberian pine nut.

The results showed that intake of such a concentrated super food as pine nut oil can produce a clearly "positive effect in the complex therapy of illnesses of the digestive organs" and increase the quality of life. Researchers added that there was an almost "complete restoration of such parameters as emotional reactions, energy levels, and physical abilities," with the use of this cold pressed, extra virgin pine nut oil. They did emphasize the importance of biologically active pine nut oil to obtain these unique results. The researchers used Siberian Pine Nut Oil bearing the registered Ringing Cedars of Russia trademark for this study, with consistency being one of the hallmarks of reliability in research (see: ringingcedarsofrussia.org).

I still don't have the shares showing either, but the cheque was cashed - thats the main thing.
I wonder when they'll announce the results of the call?

Why does everything have to move so slowly all the time?

2 months to vote and no payout until October?? What for? I hope ANZ will pay with interest. I know if it was the other way around the bank would be charging interest.

And the status report that was going to be released "shortly after" the meeting on Wed. I thought that would have meant a few hours after or maybe a day/2 days max.

They originally wanted to release the status report before the half yearly - presumably to offset the negatives. So I'm hoping its positive.

QUOTE
Following the appointment of Dr Robert Payne as a Non-Executive Director on 23
February, 2009 and a further review of the Report, the Board now advises the market
that a Board Meeting to be held next Wednesday 4 March, 2009, plans to finalise the
document. The Report will be released to the market shortly thereafter.

Dr Robert Payne has offered something new hopefully using his "strong industry contacts specifically in USA and Germany"

QUOTE
On the basis of positive technological achievements at SiBex, the Directors plan to prepare a
current Status Report and outline any revised company strategies resulting from changed
market conditions and steps to be taken for the wider distribution of Ropren.

QUOTE
Executive Director, Mr Branko Jovanovic departed for Europe over the weekend and will
provide necessary input to the Report from Europe.
(Russia not mentioned)

Branko Jovanovic is the former diplomat and the Director in various European companies. Before joining Solagran, he was the Trade Development Manager and Business Council Executive Director for Russia, Thailand and Malaysia with the Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He has extensive experience in international trade and speaks five languages including fluent Russian.

Anyway we'll know what they're up to by the end of the week.

The price has only dropped 2c I guess we're used to that happenning every day by now. The problem is that the 2c is now a 20% drop which looks a lot worse.

If they purposely withheld bad news while investors were sending off cheques, that would be pretty unethical.

Has anyone who sent their cheques in for the SLACF conversion had them cashed yet or will they all be cashed on Monday? I'm just wondering because mine hasn't yet and I sent it a week ago.

In regards to the status report that they are preparing to prepare:

QUOTE
The newly constituted Board of Directors has scheduled a series of meetings over the next week to consider various management reports.

On the basis of positive technological achievements at SiBex, the Directors plan to prepare a current Status Report and outline any revised company strategies resulting from changed market conditions and steps to be taken for the wider distribution of Ropren.

Either the Russians aren't buying Ropren, or Sibex is now able to make more Ropren than is needed. So I'm wondering if Ropren can be sold to any other countries without having to go through all the trials, approvals and licenses again.

Volume is higher than usual today. I imagine today would be the last day you could sell any SLA shares to cover the call, so hopefully this will be the last of the selling pressure.

I wonder what our new director and CEO have planned for us?

I emailed yesterday and haven't received a response. They must be feeling the pressure from all our requests yet they still don't respond or put out any updates. I'm wondering if they are staying quiet to try and get past the call and they'll drop some bad news.

A few people have suggested this Friday the 13th is when it will turn around.
I assume this is because its when the directors get their compensation from ANZ. Even then we still don't know how long until they will actually get the cash.

I hope this new CEO is better at keeping us more informed.

I'm not comfortable about the 5c call when the price is dropping each day with no news on sales. That last announcement has left me wondering whats going on. Are they changing their strategy about selling to Russian hospitals and looking for other buyers?

Looking forward to any commentary in the quarterly.

In regards to the options given to scientists and directors that lost shares in opes. Am I right in thinking they will need this settlement money from ANZ to convert their new options? How could they pay for it otherwise?

If Russia isn't buying Ropren and they are left with a heap of stock, all they need to do is start running some global google adword campaigns with a nice landing page about the product and little disclaimer at the bottom saying its not FDA approved.

The fact they are not doing this means they must still have buyers lined up in Russia like they have announced.

I like this comment from the AGM presentation.

QUOTE
The plan to produce around 200 kg of Bioeffective® R by the end of FY 2008-09 is on track. This will be sufficient for 40,000 standard Ropren® courses for liver disease
each containing 5g of Bioeffective® R. 15kg will be produced in December

6 weeks since AGM and there's hardly been any updates or news other then the capital raising. So I guess its all still on track and we just keep waiting... biggrin.gif

Its professional traders using bots. They don't have to pay brokerage per trade like we do.

The good thing is they've been hitting the sell side meaning they are trying to push the price up.

Does anyone know if you buy a SLACA on market, does the 20c option come with it - or does that stay in the name of the original purchaser?
