Another box ticked for NAN, and somewhat earlier than expected - this time South Korean FDA approval for Trophon EPR and the issuing of a product licence. http://www.asx.com.au/asxpdf/20130830/pdf/42j16gdhpp9x62.pdf

Hi idean

Re: your two questions, that info comes from the latest Canaccord Genuity report listed on the NAN web site, to which I provided a link in my previous post.

Hi Doc-GT - good to read your posts.

Question - how do you know how many sales people GE has put on as dedicated sales staff for Trophon ?

and

Where did you get the EU intel regarding changes to their HLD procedures - great intel if both above correct.

tks & rgds

From the NAN website, Canaccord Genuity has just upgraded its price target for NAN from 90 cents to $1.05 per share.
http://www.nanosonics.com.au/Investor-Cent...d-Presentations

Key factors in the CG price target upgrade seem to be: 1) GE's funding of up to 14 dedicated Trophon sales personnel in the US and Canada, including some of NAN's sales staff; and, 2) a forthcoming Bill to be presented to the European Parliament recommending high level disinfection practices for a range of ultrasound probe procedures (which, if passed, would likely place the Trophon EPR technology front and centre for ultrasound probe disinfection in Europe).

NAN signed up Toshiba as its non-exclusive distributor in the UK in April this year and since that time Toshiba has focussed on a strategy of facilitating free Trophon EPR trials in a range of UK hospitals, with the expectation that trialists are more likely to become customers.

That strategy may be beginning to bear fruit with the announcement today that Kings Mill Hospital in Nottinghamshire has taken delivery of six trophon units, with the postscript that: "we look forward to receiving additional trophon EPR systems shortly so that we can extend the disinfection program to cover every ultrasound room in our department". http://www.asx.com.au/asxpdf/20130823/pdf/42hw2bns1mqmsf.pdf.

All good.

On the NAN website - there are Shaw Stockbroking and Canaccord research with valuations at ~30M sales for FY14 - and this was prior to GE announcing specialist Trophon sales teams - so 30M sales will be easily achievable I think.

I understand (but not being a subscriber I'm unable to confirm) that the latest issue of Bioshares has increased its valuation of NAN to 95 cents per share, has increased its sales revenue forecast for FY14 to nearly $30 million (a doubling of actual FY13 sales revenue), and has brought forward its timing forecast for company profitability from FY15 to FY14. The sales revenue forecast and the profitability timing forecast are both tall orders, but I think shareholders will be more than happy if they're near the mark.

Thanks for the info on VA purchasing, Doc-gt.

Agree, this is a great co - and only way is up from here as they increase sales and new market penetration and keep banking the high gross margins.

On the NAN web-site there is also a Shaw stockbroking analysis as well - both the Canaccord and Shaw reports are great and as we're now fast-tracked for sales in the USA with GE putting on a specialist Trophon team to sell these devices - I think we'll start meeting sales & earnings guidances at least 6 months earlier than previously forecast by both analysts - which is why the SP has put on an early run to 90c. Next targets are 99-100c and then the 110-130c, depending on how quickly sales takes off and e get into the Asian and Sth American markets.

An interesting day for NAN. It's up nearly 8% on the day and has closed bang on the upgraded 12 month price target of at least 2 analysts (Shaw Stockbroking and Canaccord) at 90 cents (albeit only 2 months and 3 weeks respectively since those price targets were upgraded). The intraday high of 91.5 cents has not been exceeded since 27 April 2011 and the daily volume of 1,509,647 has not been exceeded since 6 March 2013.

With all current news now out there, except for any qualitative commentary that may come via the Annual Report, a period of price consolidation until 2013/14 1st quarter cash flows are released wouldn't surprise, but then again, for nearly 4 months now, the SP has consistently surprised on the up side.

I'll be interested to see in the next 6 weeks or so whether the recent product purchasing action from US Veterans Affairs gains further traction. That could be a key to maintaining the recent share price momentum.
