[QUOTE]I'm ready to give up on this one. We all know that nothing is going to happen until boylep speaks. smile.gif

Thanks for the compliment Plastic, but there are more qualified people on this thread than I. Drafter, Enumerate (I wish he would post more often) yourself and of course others.

From what I understand negotiations between the CSIRO and Benitec are very positive and we should be hearing something in the next few weeks. Bare in mind there are always other ways of raising finance and you dont have to go far down the list of the top twenty to know who they are.

The upcoming two seminars look to be very interesting - fingers crossed. In addition , don't forget that we have the meeting with the USPTO and with the big chief Mr. Schultz involved one can only guess at the outcome. My opinion is that it will be positive for us.

I can only reiterate once more that we have a great management team and whilst the share price is disheartening at present I feel that by the end of this year we could possibly have smiles on our faces.

Ahhhh Plastic,

It is so good to see that you haven't lost your sense of humour!!!

Its great to see you posting positively for a change. I know one person who will be delighted to see your changing sentiment - "Sue".

You know I have spoken to Mc Kinley and the P---K from Newcastle and all they were interested in was themselves. Sue has an entirely differently approach to business and she has all shareholders as her main interest.

I would expect common sense to prevail with the CSIRO and that a positive outcome will be achieved. My only concern is the 099 Patent being granted again. I realise that we have other things on the go and that the Grahem patent is not the "be all and end all" , but I will be more than happy to see it reinstated.

Keep up your great posts mate and I look forward to buying you a beer at Rainbow Beach, Champagne will come after the resolution of the Patent!

It never ceases to amaze me what day traders can do to a stock. I thought the news today regarding the Nucleonics saga was a tremendous win for BLT. and I mean win, win! I am quite sure that if there are any deals in the pipe line they will be further enhanced with this very positive news. I am quite sure that the day traders will rue the day when they sold out for a paltry 10 cents.

The proprietary technology is in my opinion worth a minimum of 50 cents per share, plus with all the deals that may eventuate and naturally subject to the Graham patent I agree with Plastic the price is upwards of $3.00.

Once upon a time I thought that BLT would quickly be bought out, but now I think we have to focus on the long term and I am sure that we will not be disappointed. This RNAI industry is huge and whilst there are obsticles to overcome I firmly believe that we are on a winner. I am quite prepared to wait.

Special thanks to those whose messages about our dogs . They were greatly appreciated.

Yes Plastic,

I have been very quiet for the last few months due to the passing of our 2 beloved dogs, 1 being 18 and the other 21.

I havent taken much interest in anything during this time but as time passes things are slowly coming together again.

When I heard about the USPTO's non final response I was somewhat alarmed as our patent case is taking more time than usual. Its pretty obvious to me that there are people out there that value our 099 patent, more than one would think.

Apparently the management of BLT will be releasing a statement regarding recent events this coming Monday as we all know. I have a feeling things aren't as bad as they seem. We may all be pleasently suprised.

Having said all that I would gladly trade my reasonably large holdings to have our dogs back again.

Good luck to all holders.

In reply to: healyn on Friday 14/03/08 11:12am

Healyn,

It takes a big man to apologise - thankyou. I apologise to you for being rather curt in my reply to your original post. As I have said I have been in ICS since inception and at one time I had the opportunity to sell out and make in excess of 1/2 million dollars after tax but I decided to remain loyal.

The health industry is loathe to change its old fashioned ways and I think it will be quite some time before ICS succedes in AUS. Britain I am not sure about but as we all know USA is the key.

I have always respected your posts and I particularly follow your posts on INL even though I don't hold them. ICS is only a small part of my portfolio as I am heavily invested in the oil, gas, gold, rare earths and science industries.

I hope that Tim Murray and the boys can resurrect ICS and bring back the golden days.

I take umbrage to your suggestion that I am a ramper. I most definitely am not and never will be. You obviously did not get the point. The fact that I have been a large share holder since day 1.

I strongly suggest that you ring the ICS office.

Fwiw,

I understand that Tim Murray is spending in excess of $500.000 taking up his rights and that the Board in total will be spending between $750.000 to $1.000.000.

I further understand that its very unlikely there will be any shortfall in the issue. After being in this stock since day 1 this gives me heart.

Interesting times ahead gentlemen.

In one of my regular calls to Sue, she told me things are going ahead quite well - I've never heard her so upbeat. Don't we need it.

We should receive some news re. Benitec within the next 2 - 3 weeks.

Buda if you have any shares left ( you stated that you were selling out in a previous post) I can only suggest that you hold on to whats left.

I have a "feeling"

Hello BCF,

Must confess that I don't know much about charts- I just love the bare bacts of a company. As to large share holders selling out I don't know much about the Pratt's and company but I can assure you that Bremner has not sold a single share.

From what I can gauge October could be a very good month for Benitec. And while I'm at it welcome on board Buda.

Great post Enumerate. I like to think of Nucleonics as more than thugs. I think their F/as. Typical yanks , they want it all their own way!!! I think we have the right people to beat them at their own game.

Your last several posts have been nothing short of extraordinary. I really do think that Benitec should put you on the Board as their PR Man - do you hear me Sue?

Apologies for not returning the answers to your post . I have been rather busy playing golf at Tin Can Bay which is a delightful course.

Yes, this was one of the results I was looking for, as it somewhat clears the air regarding the Nucleonics problem. With that out the way we can consentrate on other matters . As Enumerate has expressed I would like to see some information on the COH trials in Chicago. It's been rumoured that Rossi is planning a trip to Aus in the not too distant future and should he visit I'm sure we would get a fair amount of info as to whats happening with the trials. On another account I'm hearing that the Benitec people are very pleased with whats happening with the outcome of the Graham patent. Results, as I understand should be coming by the end of the year, so I suggest you get 2 christmas trees instead of 1.

As to your query regarding what the price of BLT could be, well I really have no idea. On this point I can only surmise the following. If Merck paid a billion bucks for Sirna and we were succsessful in having the Graham patent upheld, well I reckon this could happen. A huge company like Phzizer could say "get the assisstant accountant to run downstairs and see the office boy, to go downstairs to see the petty cash clerk and get a billion bucks out of petty cash, put it in an overnight bag and send it down to those settlers in Australia. Just make sure you get a receipt for the dough and don't forget to bring back the title."

Could you imagine if the COH is successful in solving the HIV riddle, I reckon this could happen "John, Johnny is that you ,its George here. Oh hi how are you, what can I do for you Mr. Preident. Well Johnny a company in Aus has solved the HIV riddle, when do you want us to start the printpresses." So I assume you get the drift BCF that anything could happen.

Like you I can't wait for christmas to come.

Yes Enumerate , its always great to read yours and Plastics comments on this thread, and yes I agree with your comments about the value of Benitecs patent estate.

And yes BCF its nice to hear that I'm your "HERO" but believe me mate I'm just an average bloke that loves to see the "underdog" succeed. I've said a couple of times on this thread that we need to have patience with BLT and believe me over the last couple of months my patience has been sorely tested.

We are in good hands and I am confident that we can overcome the obsticles ahead.

Also as I have said in the past we will get there!!!

Good luck to us all.

Hello Plastic, Enumerate and others from Sunny Rainbow Beach.

Well I have been watching all of your posts and I notice that some of you are getting a little despondant. It is a bit hard when we are not getting that much news, but we all know nothing much can be achieved until the result of the court case.

Um, heard a bit of gossip that Bremer and and and - The Rothchild Family will be the sub underwriters for the current rights issue. Also heard that Rothchild Family are willing to help out in any way they can. Also heard on the grapevine that news of the IND will be coming next week.. Hope this news will placate some of your concerns.

Its a bit hard to post up here because of heavy use of the cafe computers by our constant stream of Backpackers.

Keep up the good work fellas, speak to you soon.

To Enumerate and Plastic,

Thanks for your posts over the last few days - your usual excellent comments that I find enthralling. Good to see that Enumerate has a sense of humour - especially liked the last sentence on your post on Friday at 8:19pm. Even though I had a good laugh the sad part is that what you said I think is true.

Plastic's comments on the 2nd/2/07 at 4:43pm. is also true - "the previous bunch". Business men - I don't think so. I reckon that kids in year 7 could have done a better job. As I have said before "what a great shame that the present Benitec team weren't there at the start". Ken Reed has intimated the same thing.

Anyway we haven't lost yet and I can assure you that the present team is working diligently to achieve a positive outcome for us.

I know of a guy who has a huge holding in Benitec. He is definately not selling at any cost. His opinion (not mine) is that some sort of compromise will be achieved between the two parties. I don't know how this would work, maybe you two guys would have a better insight as to whether this would work or not.

Lets hope for a positive outcome in the near future.

Kind regards,

Boylep

Dear Enumerate,

You are a character aren't you. I had a good laugh!! You also summarized the situation perfectly.

This stock has to be held, not traded to excess the way it has been. It is just a shame that the traders don't seem to have any comprehension as to what the real story is behind this company.

Nothing like a quick profit, eh!!

I would like to think you are right Plastic re: the timing of the court result, but I think it will be later that that, I have been wrong before.

Daggie if you are unhappy holding BLT then sell them. If however you are prepared to wait a few months for the real action to start, you will find yourself well rewarded.

BLT has risk attached to it .................. but the rewards could be huge.

PS. Have a copy of issued patents. Do you guys have them? If not can forward email to you.

Regards,

Boylep.

Enumerate,

(I am especially heartened by the attitude on the Nucleonics and Graham '099 re-issue.)

It was a stinker here in Melbourne last night, and I had trouble sleeping. My thoughts were all on Benitec and maybe a little on Arafura. Hope you guys bought some of them ! We are so lucky to have a CEO like Sue. She is such a dynamic, intelligent, affable person to talk to.

My mind kept coming back to the fact the most important date for Benitec's future is the day when we hear from the US court of appeals. Success will mean a whole new ball game for this company.

I hear that Richard Branson is in NZ. We have Dr. Bremmer here in AUS. Maybe if the 2 got together they could bye Benitec. lol !!

Regarding Whitton, apparently he is bying shares again - how many I do not know? One thing I do know about our lovely Mr. Whitton is that he has no further connection with the present team.

Plastic,

This was your question on 17/11/06 (One area of interest I have is outlicencing to unassociated parties.),

From my conversation with Sue this morning, whilst your question is a good one they are actually looking to implement several key strategic deals within the next 6-12 months.Whilst they have not backed away from you suggestion they feel that tying up the main players is the best for Benitec.

I wish you and Enumerate had been at the end of the phone because I must admit a lot had me rather perplexed. Just let me assure you the future of Benitec is as I think Enumerate said "blue sky".

1. Future collaberations - There are a number of companies that they are talking to. For obvious reasons she would not name them. She certainly sounded confident of success.

2. Commercial prospects - Sue pointed out the Merck deal of 1 billion, Alynam deal of 650 million and the CTYEX deal of 120 million. In Sue's opinion Benitec is worth 100 million to 300 million in 2 - 3 years. This is mainly because of our huge patent family.

3. Patent families - As you are aware there are approximately 60 patents across 19 juri.

sdictions. These are publicily available but if you can't get them Sue said she would send me copies.

4. Functional areas - What she had to say in this area absolutely blew my mind. My head is still up in the clouds. The areas are so broad that there is almost nothing that Benitec can't do. She mentioned HIV, Hep C, Stem cells, infectious diseases. The list goes on.

5. Litigation - Benitec are extremely positive of the outcome against Nucleonics and expects an affirmative decision in June. She expects the patent to be re-issued and intimated that this would be the start of major licensing deals.

6. ASIC and ASX - Both organisations have been in touch with Benitec and there is no ongoing issue. The matter is finalised.

7. Professor Ken Reed - City of Hope - I said earlier that he was there for 2 years. I was wrong it is actually 3 years. I understand that he is doing a great job of driving forward the Benitec message. The IND was completed last Dec. and will be filed shortly. Phase 1 of HIV begins very soon.

We had a great chat and all I can say is that I wish I had more money to obtain more shares.

Good luck fellows,

Boylep.

Uraniumbull,

I have to give credit where it's due. You are one of the most incredible posters I have come across. In my humble opinion you only have two peers on this site, that being Enumerate and Plastic, (I should add "The Adder") on the BLT thread.

I only wish that I had of seen your earlier posts regarding Alliance mining where I bought 450,000 at 3c and was told to sell them when they hit 11c. I would be thoroughly enjoying my sea views at Rainbow Beach on the Sunshine Coast.

Best wishes for the future,

Plastic,

[QUOTE : I think Boylep is gonna have that Rainbow Coast property paid off pretty quick but I hope he doesn't sell. )

You don't have to worry about me Plastic. I sold 100,000 shares only, thinking that would go towards the rights issue. The share price has certainly tumbled hasn't it.! But don't worry they will eventually climb again. I wouldn't worry about the "City group" that you guys go on about.

I think the main problem is Pratt selling down, but then again you never know what he's going to do next. I spoke to Sue today and she too is extremely dissapointed. I think you will find in time things will only get better. I'm not selling any more, in fact should they go any lower I will be a buyer.

Welcome back Enumerate and one thing I must say that I overlooked was to congratulate "The Adder" for his excellent post on the Phizer deal. This guy is incredible putting his time in for the BLT share holders when he doesn't own them. Maybe "The Adder" should be called "Sherlock Holmes".

Hang in there guys,

Thankyou very much for your excellent posts and you two guy's are the reason that I have a reasonable holding in Benitec.

I just came back from seeing a Physio and I could not believe my eyes when I saw the screen. There is still a hell of a lot more upside in this Company and I hope especially that you both have a lot of shares as well.

I will be seeing Sue Macleman on the 15th and hope to have the answers to your questions then.

Dear Plastic,

Please note that answers to yours and Enumerate's questions will be answered on the 15th of Jan. The only reason being that Sue Macelman does not return to work until then. As I said before, Sue contacted me while I was away and I couldn't take down the answers at that time. I made arrangements to ring Sue on the 20th Dec. but when I realised that my access to SS had been haulted I decided to put it off until her return from holidays.

Regarding the rights issue (which is yet to be confirmed) I would have thought that would have been good news. Time will tell.

Further to yesterdays post, because of my lack of typing skills I couldn't post very much at all. I'll have to get lessons. So now that my other half is doing the deed I can elaborate a little further.

Our family is planning to move to Rainbow Beach on the Sunshine Coast. When this takes place I do not know as we missed out on the block of choice. Sue Macleman rang me while I was up there to give me answers to all of your questions and when she told me that it would take 1/2 hour to do so I wasn't in the position to take down the info so I told her that I would ring her on the 18th Dec. On my return, I found that I had been suspended from Sharescene which has since been rectified - thank God . I am glad they re-enstated me.

Spoke briefly to Sue yesterday and she told me that details would announced soon regarding a capital raising - got the impression that it will be a rights issue, fully underwritten. I think this would be good news to you.

Caught up with all of your posts - fantastic views that you post. Keep up the good work and to all of you a Safe and Merry Christmas. Look forward to speaking to you in the New Year.

Kind regards,

Boylep.

To Plastic and Enumerate,

I am sorry to say that I will be away on family business until the 20th December and will be unable to attend the AGM as originally planned.

I still haven't received a reply from Management regarding some of your questions.
I know that they have been extremely busy. Should I hear of anything my other half will let you know.

Kind regards,

Peter.

With refference to item 2, please note that the meeting being held is with Whitten.

Plastic, sorry I hope I didn't upset you about the announcement business. Let me explain further.
1. There was a board meeting amongst Francis, Dalling, Macleman and Reed on Friday last which went for some time. Not wanting to ask a lot of questions at that late hour, Peter Francis asked if he could ring me on Saturday, which he did.

2. The new Directors are still cleaning up after the previous D! Heads. Whilst not serious it is just time consuming. Some of the Directors meet next week to tidy up some previous affairs. Don't think there is much love lost there.

3. Ken Reed will be in USA for 2 years under Rossi/City of Hope. Didn't pry to hard into this, sure details will be released later. I mentioned a couple of days ago that Ken is highly thought of in USA (and also in Aus.). Apparently the Promega people think the same way.

4. Regarding your HIV/IND query there has been a very, very, very minor hiccup on the IND. (some paperwork problem). They are still hoping to start in Dec 06 but at the latest Jan/Feb 07.

5. Asked if Benitec will be a success he most emphatically said YES. The future abounds.
He bought up the JAIN/PHARM which Eumerate referred to on the 15/11/06. Very interesting.

6. He is absolutely tickled pink with Sue Macleman and feels that she is perfect for the job. I must admit that when I spoke to her a couple of weeks ago I came away ecstatic that we have such a competent person on board. She is completely commited to restoring BLT and looking after us share holders. She thinks the technology is first class.

7. Nucleonics. The matter is scheduled for the 6th of Dec/06. Apparently each side has 15 minutes to argue their case. Peter Francis said you can listen to the case as it will be broadcast. Sorry I don't know how to do this.

8. Patents - discussed Enumerate question with him. He said something about 19 families but would check this out. As I stated previously answers will be forthcoming.

9. I explained how difficult it has been to contact BLT in the past. I remember calling Whitten once. It took me about an hour to find his phone number and when I finally did speak to him I deeply regretted having done so. I'm glad he sold out.
I have spoken with Ken Reed over the past 3 years and he is still the same terrific bloke. Same applies to the other 3 Directors. Peter said he would look into solving the "contact" question so that we the share holders can ring and email any questions.

In summary I believe we have the right people to take this company to where it should be.

Upcoming announcements are going to be few and far between for a while, Plastic.

From what was discussed with Peter Francis this morning, I have great confidence of things going forward. Further to the Ken Reed story, I was told this morning that he is highly regarded in the American Medical circles. I was told that Fire and Mellow, who were awarded the Nobel Prize as you know, said that RNAI could not be performed in mammalian cells but as you probably know, Ken Reed proved them wrong.

The next six or so months look like being quite fantastic.

I am excited!

Had a chat to Peter Francis this morning and things are looking pretty rosy.
It's not gonna happen overnight, but I think good results aren't far away.
Enumerate:- your questions will be answered within a week. Plastic:- your question is a good one but being a little bit market sensitive, a reply of some description will be sent.

Your posts have attracted a lot of interest, I can assure you and they are very impressed with the content and quality. One thing of interest you may find is that Ken Reed leaves for the City of Hope to do his sabbatical under John Rossi - interesting huh?

Will be in touch.

Further to my last post I should stress that while it's good to make a dollar it's also very important that the company's technologies are proven so that the ails of the world are cured.

That's where I get my biggest buzz.

Thanks for your replies. Will endeavour to find some answers to your questions over the next few days. Regarding my share holding most were bought at 2.6 cents which I don't think was that clever considering some uninformed people were willing to sell at any price.

Fosters Lite ice stubbies are my good stuff.

Thanks,

Boylep

P.S. Shouldn't post this but ARU has huge potential, as well as BLT of course.

I wish I had your's and Plastics accumen. Thanks to both of your comments over the last couple of months I have increased my holdings to just under 2 million. For your information I was an initilal holder and whilst I have made a quid out of it. perhaps like you, have witnessed a demoralising fall in the sp - thanks largly to the Whitten cabal and the original MD.

I was just about to sell my remaining shares when I happened upon your posts, hence my renewed interest in Benitec. Living in Melbourne I thought I might attend the AGM. If I go would you like me to take your questions with me. I think this is the best I can do as I believe that I owe you two guys ( and ADDER) big time. Let me know if you wish.

Kind regards to both of you,

Boylep

Fellas, there's no such thing as "charity" in todays business - you should all know that!
I rang management who have assured me that the funds are paying a very reasonable transaction fee.

Kind regards to all,

Boylep

Don't know where the guy from Hot Copper got his information from about re-listing. When I rang the company this morning they indicated that the re-listing won't be until at least Friday of this week. I guess we will have to be patient.

First of all I would like to thank Enumerate, Plastic, Adder and others for your excellent posts on BLT. I do not post much because I do not have the expertise you blokes have.

I have owned BLT from day one and have lived through the highs and lows of this turbulent stock.

Not being a trader of stocks I guess I should have taken profits when they were around $1.50 but didn't - Oh well !!

I have a lot of respect for Professor Ken Reed who is currently an associate Director.

I spoke with Ken a week ago and he told me that if the the current 3 people running Benitec Francis, Dalling and McMacLeman had been in charge from the outset BLT would be in much better shape than it is now. I also spoke to Frances, who indicated that there are still problems to be overcome, but is hopeful of a successful outcome. I only hope that this new "Team" at Benitec remains.

As to investing in Benitec I share similar views to Enumerate who said "This stock suits my personal investing style".

In addition if I can borrow another additive from a Hot Copper guy who quotes Baruch, a famouse 20th century investor - "if you want to make money, big money, buy that which is being thrown away".

So in summary I have been buying BLT in large amounts over the last couple of weeks because I believe the selling has been completely overdone. In my opinion the patent itself is worth a minimum of .50 cents per share. It's just a shame that American interests deride Benitecs/CSIRO's lawful patent.

I would again like to thank you blokes for your excellent posts, and hope to see your continued comments on this interesting company.

I will continue to accumulate BLT because as the saying goes "Nothing ventured, nothing gained"

Good luck to all holders.

It was good of you to reply for which I thankyou. From the information that I have gleened about this company the future indeed seems rather rosy.
As you mentioned the Geologist Dr. Ernst Kohler has an incredible reputation and I can only see the company progressing from here.

Good liuck with your holding.

Please get your facts right, they do not hold any ground in South Australia.
