S4 - thanks for the Forbes article ... I'm not trading this one any more - going to accumulate it on any dips .. if there are any! The trader in me suggests a top today or tomorrow, but I'm trying to ignor him!

You follow NRT??? The cyclical analysis suggests a bottom very soon and the start of the money leg! (Not trying to pump it - just interested in your views).

I'm watching CCE around 45c as this should be the end of the next phase IMO - any interest there by you???

I'm out of PSD ... can't read it so trying to avoid shooting in the dark.

Watching SBP for a major dump or major turn ... favour the dump ... seems a nice one longer term but their timeline goals are all shot to pieces yet their stock price isn't reflecting it yet IMO. Views?

Any other interest you?

Regards Andy

Today (5/1/04) both RKN and SPL finished at 70 cents.

Just what do these two stocks have in common ?

One thing that does stand out in the announcements:

Reckon: RKN
22/12/2003 Acquires Advanced Professional Solutions:
So in addition to Quicken which is basically a small business financial package it has become the provider of a package -- marketed internationally - used by roughly 50% of Australian accounants

Starpharma: SPL
22/1/2004: General Meeting to revoke SPL's status as a pooled development fund in order to facilitate acquisitions

Both are small, successful, and intent on growing

Convergence of RKN and SPL

These stocks -- totally unrelated -- have tracked together all 2003.
SP has actually converged cent by cent (well - almost) over past weeks.

Could there be a deeper meaning ?

Starpharma gets US nod to work on HIV gel

Biotech play Starpharma is five years away from the full commercialisation of its topical HIV/AIDS protection product, chairman Peter Bartels told shareholders yesterday.

Speaking at the annual meeting, he said the company recently started human trials in Adelaide of its VivaGel product after approval from the US Federal Drug Administration.

He said Starpharma had chosen the more difficult path of seeking clearance for the gel in the US rather than Australia as success overseas would deliver greater kudos and earnings.

VivaGel is a vaginal gel. Since Starpharma was established in 1992, it has concentrated on using nanotechnology to develop pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical applications.

Mr Bartels said after the human trials of VivaGel now being conducted at the Royal Adelaide Hospital to test if the gel was harmful to humans, tests would start on people living in regions that were highly exposed to HIV/AIDS, such as sub-Saharan Africa or parts of South-East Asia.

DNT announcement just in stating two new patents granted in US covering novel techniques to produce low cost large dendritic structures and the building of large nanostructures utilising dendrimers. Both of these will have applications in chemical, electrical and medical arenas.

As well they have secured a second grant of US$3m funding for their CMU US army alliance with further multiple US$3m grants out to 2008.

I wonder what is left to tell us at the AGM tomorrow?

All good news I'd say!

Roll on SPL.

Cheers,
Visionary

AGM coming up on Wednesday.

Current price weakness probably due to professional investors cashing in on their 52 cent placement.

I suspect the will price to firm this week with the expectation that the AGM may bring some promising news about DNT.

Vivagel trial news is already out with nothing new likely to be raised about this at the meeting.

Cheers,
Visionary
