EMD
In reply to: happyjack on Saturday 16/02/08 10:51pm Happyjack, the shareprice went down, and then it went up to about where it was before it went down. Unless you bought at the lows, these movements have made you no 'profit' as you put it, at all. Send me a wake up call when they start getting some assay results back from a drilling program.....probably sometime in 2010 at the current pace. happyjack
In reply to: EMD on Sunday 17/02/08 10:30am emd If you have stop losses you don't go into the lows, If a share goes under the 21 day average for more than 5 trading days I am out. If it touches the 150 day average going down, I am out, if I am fishing or the market goes silly I have an automatic 10% trailing stop loss. If any of these things happen I am gone, I do not wait for 2 of them or 3 of them to happen. I also trade a sufficient volume that my broking fee (In. Out & Stop loss) is 1% maximum, check for yourself to see if this stratagy would have made more money for you. If it does,(and it should) think of it as a gift, and one day you may be able to pass it on to someone else. Some companies I may use a 31 day average and if the chart looks like chook scatchings I won"t trade it. this share is now on my watchlist, it will make money for me happyjack

fireblade1
no one is on LIN in here? my hope is that we will see $1++ late 2012 or early 2013 this is my next EXT IMO worth to DYOR http://www.stocknessmonster.com/news-item?...SX&N=585850 LINDIAN RESOURCES LIMITED ASX Release 17 April 2012 LINDIAN RESOURCES LIMITED WORLD CLASS RESULTS FROM SABANG DISCOVERY Lindian Resources Limited is extremely pleased to announce that the Company has received exceptional drilling results for the extensions on drill hole BMS-008 on the Sabang Discovery on the southern portion of the Masapelid Project in the Philippines (Figures 1, 2 and 3). HIGHLIGHTS  The headline overall intersection for BMS-008 is spectacular: 433.00 metres from 17.00 metres at 0.73g/t gold, 5.84g/t silver and 0.26% copper. including: 59.00 metres from 276.00 metres at 3.49g/t gold, 2.32g/t silver and 0.12% copper.  Drilling is continuous, with two drilling rigs currently operating on site and intersecting visually mineralised drill core.  Two additional drilling rigs being mobilised. (Four drilling rigs operating)  Company is full funded for the current drilling programme.  Maiden JORC Resource targeted for last quarter 2012.  Continued regular news flow from the Sabang Prospect is expected and the Company believes Sabang has the potential to confirm itself as a World Class discovery. Extension of drill holes BMS-007b and BMS-008 on the discovery drill section ( BMS-007a, BMS-007b, BMS-008, BMS-009 and BMS-011 ) has confirmed a more extensive zone of gold and silver mineralisation located beneath the previously reported near surface supergene copper-silverÃÆâ€â„¢ÃƒÆ’ƒÂ¢Ãƒ¢Ã¢Ã¢â€š¬Ã…¡Ãƒâ€šÃ‚¬ÃƒÆ’…¡ÃƒÆ’â€Å¡Ãƒƒâہ¡ÃƒÆ’‚±gold blanket than originally believed. The re-entering and extension of holes BMS-007b and BMS-008 shows that the gold-silver mineralisation continues to depths approaching 500 metres on the drilled section. This is significant in the context of advancing the project toward a maiden resource during calendar year 2012. The latest results obtained from the extension of holes BMS-007b and BMS- 008 show that gold and silver mineralisation continues to occur in layered stockwork and vein style zones within a low grade porphyry style coppersilverÃÆâ€â„¢ÃƒÆ’ƒÂ¢Ãƒ¢Ã¢Ã¢â€š¬Ã…¡Ãƒâ€šÃ‚¬ÃƒÆ’…¡ÃƒÆ’â€Å¡Ãƒƒâہ¡ÃƒÆ’‚± gold system. The layered stockwork and veined zones also continue to contain higher grade gold and silver mineralisation components. This is extremely pleasing as this style of mineralisation may, with similar results LINDIAN RESOURCES LIMITED Sabang Prospect ÃÆâ€â„¢ÃƒÆ’ƒâہ¡ÃƒÆ’‚¢ÃƒÆ’¢Ã¢Ã¢Ã¢Ã¢â€š¬Ã…¡Ãƒâ€šÃ‚¬ÃƒÆ’…¡Ãƒâہ¡ÃƒÆ’‚¬ÃƒÆ’¢Ã¢Ã¢Ã¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ã‚¬Ãƒâ€¦Ã‚¡ÃƒÆ’‚¬Ãƒâ€Â¦ÃƒÆ’¢Ã¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ã‚¬Ãƒâ€¦Ã¢â‚¬Å“ intense silica stockwork outcrop at site of drill hole BMS-008. An aggressive drilling programme is ongoing at the Sabang Discovery with two additional diamond drilling rigs being sourced. It is expected that that first of these additional rigs will arrive on site at Masapelid in three to four weeks. Subsequent to the last announcement the following activities have been completed: ï‚· Hole BMS-010 has been completed 100 metres to the west-northwest of hole BMS-007b . Hole BMS-010 has been offset to the west and northwest from the main Sabang drill grid and has been targeted to intersect the gold and silver stockwork and vein projected to occur toward the bottom half of hole BMS-010 . Core from this hole has been dispatched to the laboratory and full assays are pending; ï‚· Hole BMS-011 completed approximately 180 metres to the northeast of hole BMS-007b and on the same cross section as holes BMS- 007a , BMS-007b, BMS-008, BMS-009 , and now BMS-011 as shown in Figure 4. H BMS-011 has been drilled to the southwest on that section line and targeted to test for the extension of the supergene copper-silverÃÆâ€â„¢ÃƒÆ’ƒÂ¢Ãƒ¢Ã¢Ã¢â€š¬Ã…¡Ãƒâ€šÃ‚¬ÃƒÆ’…¡ÃƒÆ’â€Å¡Ãƒƒâہ¡ÃƒÆ’‚±gold blanket and underlying high grade gold and silver stockwork and vein to the northeast of BMS-007b . Core from hole BMS-011 has been submitted to the laboratory for analysis and assays are pending; ï‚· Holes BMS-012 and BMS-013 completed on the section line 50 metres to the southeast of, and parallel to, cross section BMS-007a, BMS-007b, BMS-008, BMS-009 and BMS-011 . Holes BMS-012 and BMS-013 were designed to test for extension of the supergene copper-silverÃÆâ€â„¢ÃƒÆ’ƒÂ¢Ãƒ¢Ã¢Ã¢â€š¬Ã…¡Ãƒâ€šÃ‚¬ÃƒÆ’…¡ÃƒÆ’â€Å¡Ãƒƒâہ¡ÃƒÆ’‚±gold blanket and underlying high grade gold and silver stockwork and vein zone to the southeast of BMS-007b . Core from holes BMS-012 and BMS-013 have been submitted to the laboratory for analysis and assays are pending; and ï‚· Hole BMS-014 is currently in progress and is aimed at testing an interpreted porphyry copper core zone between Sabang Hill and the New Discovery Zone. Drilling continues in hole BMS-014 . CORPORATE With completion of the recent option placement, the Company is fully funded to support an expanded exploration drilling programme on the Masapelid Project. Continued regular news flow from the Sabang Prospect is expected and the Company believes Sabang has the potential to confirm itself as a World Class discovery. Kangankunde has been reported as one of the worldÃÆâ€â„¢ÃƒÆ’ƒâہ¡ÃƒÆ’‚¢ÃƒÆ’¢Ã¢Ã¢Ã¢Ã¢â€š¬Ã…¡Ãƒâ€šÃ‚¬ÃƒÆ’…¡Ãƒâہ¡ÃƒÆ’‚¬ÃƒÆ’¢Ã¢Ã¢Ã¢Ã¢â€š¬Ã…¡Ãƒâ€šÃ‚¬ÃƒÆ’…¾Ãƒâہ¡ÃƒÆ’‚¢s largest Rare Earth projects outside of China. Interesting article that covers issues with REE mining, and other commodities, in Malawi With global demand for REEs expected to soar in the next 10 years or so, Malawi might see an influx of explorers. Geologists have known for many years that the Chilwa Alkaline Province hosts world-class REE deposits. Several Japanese companies drilled exploration holes around the shores of Lake Malawi in the early 1980s. In fact, two Japanese groups, MMAJ and JICA, together with the Geological Survey of Malawi, recorded a 1.4 million tonne resource at Songwe Hill ÃÆâ€â„¢ÃƒÆ’ƒâہ¡ÃƒÆ’‚¢ÃƒÆ’¢Ã¢Ã¢Ã¢Ã¢â€š¬Ã…¡Ãƒâ€šÃ‚¬ÃƒÆ’…¡Ãƒâہ¡ÃƒÆ’‚¬ÃƒÆ’¢Ã¢Ã¢Ã¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ã‚¬Ãƒâ€¦Ã‚¡ÃƒÆ’‚¬Ãƒâہ¡ÃƒÆ’‚ the same deposit Mkango would later pursue. Lure of rare earths The problem was then, as it is now, that REE projects are extremely expensive to get off the ground and potential investors become more than just jittery when asked to assess such a project. According to Deloitte Consulting in Johannesburg, even a modest REE mine will cost in the region of USD100-million to construct, and it could take up to five years just to complete the necessary application processes before operations can begin. Nivaash Singh, head of mining and international resource finance at Nedbank Capital in Johannesburg, said in an interview last year that there has been a definite shift away from traditional minerals such as gold and iron, to specialist minerals such as graphite and rare earths. ÃÆâ€â„¢ÃƒÆ’ƒâہ¡ÃƒÆ’‚¢ÃƒÆ’¢Ã¢Ã¢Ã¢Ã¢â€š¬Ã…¡Ãƒâ€šÃ‚¬ÃƒÆ’…¡Ãƒâہ¡ÃƒÆ’‚¬ÃƒÆ’â€Â¦ÃƒƒÂ¢Ãƒ¢Ã¢Ã¢â€š¬Ã…¡Ãƒâ€šÃ‚¬ÃƒÆ’…âہ“This was a huge learning curve for bankers who fund these projects,ÃÆâ€â„¢ÃƒÆ’ƒâہ¡ÃƒÆ’‚¢ÃƒÆ’¢Ã¢Ã¢Ã¢Ã¢â€š¬Ã…¡Ãƒâ€šÃ‚¬ÃƒÆ’…¡Ãƒâہ¡ÃƒÆ’‚¬ÃƒÆ’â€Å¡Ãƒƒâہ¡ÃƒÆ’‚ Singh added. In addition, once in production, operational costs are high and the environmental risks are significant. These challenges are, of course, exacerbated by a historical low demand for these products ÃÆâ€â„¢ÃƒÆ’ƒâہ¡ÃƒÆ’‚¢ÃƒÆ’¢Ã¢Ã¢Ã¢Ã¢â€š¬Ã…¡Ãƒâ€šÃ‚¬ÃƒÆ’…¡Ãƒâہ¡ÃƒÆ’‚¬ÃƒÆ’¢Ã¢Ã¢Ã¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ã‚¬Ãƒâ€¦Ã‚¡ÃƒÆ’‚¬Ãƒâہ¡ÃƒÆ’‚ but this is more than likely about to change. One of the reasons REE projects are often considered a no-go, and why investors steer away from it, is the extremely difficult process involved in dissolving the elements from the ore rock. This is also said to be the main reason why the Americans stopped mining REEs; that, and the fact that the acid used in the process often contains radioactive elements like thorium, radium, and in some cases even uranium. According to Dawes, the physical mining of rare earths normally only accounts for 10% of the companyÃÆâ€â„¢ÃƒÆ’ƒâہ¡ÃƒÆ’‚¢ÃƒÆ’¢Ã¢Ã¢Ã¢Ã¢â€š¬Ã…¡Ãƒâ€šÃ‚¬ÃƒÆ’…¡Ãƒâہ¡ÃƒÆ’‚¬ÃƒÆ’¢Ã¢Ã¢Ã¢Ã¢â€š¬Ã…¡Ãƒâ€šÃ‚¬ÃƒÆ’…¾Ãƒâہ¡ÃƒÆ’‚¢s operational costs while the actual processing and cost of separation makes up the rest. https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/malawi-minin...icle-card_title LIN has recently been granted PL 11176/2017, PL 11177/2017 and PL11178/2017 over the Lushoto Bauxite Project in Tanzania
