Company have always positioned this asset as the company maker. Comparisons could be drawn to NST's purchase of Paulsens from Intrepid. The two common factors...Chris Rowe being chairman and Investmet backing from early seed of 7c for NST and 3c for TEX. Would love to see TEX north of 50c in a couple of years!

The fact they hit both primary and secondary targets are very exciting for the prospects for this field. we are talking 200 to 800 BOPD from fusselman - and 150 BOPD from Wolfberry zones. San Andres formation is the cherry on the fusselman cream on the wolfberry cake!

Relative to the $33mil market cap, 64 holes at 40 Acre spacings looks like there is plenty of upside, let alone 128 holes at 20 Acre spacings...

Target Energy strikes oil in Darwin #1 well in West Texas

Oil has flowed to the surface from the Fusselman formation in Target EnergyÃÆâ€â„¢ÃƒÆ’ƒâہ¡ÃƒÆ’‚¢ÃƒÆ’¢Ã¢Ã¢Ã¢Ã¢â€š¬Ã…¡Ãƒâ€šÃ‚¬ÃƒÆ’…¡Ãƒâہ¡ÃƒÆ’‚¬ÃƒÆ’¢Ã¢Ã¢Ã¢Ã¢â€š¬Ã…¡Ãƒâ€šÃ‚¬ÃƒÆ’…¾Ãƒâہ¡ÃƒÆ’‚¢s Darwin #1 well in West Texas at rates in excess of 240 barrels of oil per day (BOPD). The well, which targeted both highly prospective Wolfberry and Fusselman sections, was perforated in the Fusselman section. Following acid stimulation, the well commenced flowing oil through a 10/64 inch choke at rates equivalent to over 240 barrels of oil per day, with associated gas and with no water. The well is now shut in for a pressure buildup survey and will re‐commence flow testing on the weekend. ÃÆâ€â„¢ÃƒÆ’ƒâہ¡ÃƒÆ’‚¢ÃƒÆ’¢Ã¢Ã¢Ã¢Ã¢â€š¬Ã…¡Ãƒâ€šÃ‚¬ÃƒÆ’…¡Ãƒâہ¡ÃƒÆ’‚¬ÃƒÆ’â€Â¦ÃƒƒÂ¢Ãƒ¢Ã¢Ã¢â€š¬Ã…¡Ãƒâ€šÃ‚¬ÃƒÆ’…âہ“This is a wonderful result for Target shareholders. This is the reason we have been drilling in West Texas. Locally, the Fusselman interval is an extremely attractive target with wells just 8 kms south of Darwin #1 producing at rates up to 480 BOPDÃÆâ€â„¢ÃƒÆ’ƒâہ¡ÃƒÆ’‚¢ÃƒÆ’¢Ã¢Ã¢Ã¢Ã¢â€š¬Ã…¡Ãƒâ€šÃ‚¬ÃƒÆ’…¡Ãƒâہ¡ÃƒÆ’‚¬ÃƒÆ’â€Å¡Ãƒƒâہ¡ÃƒÆ’‚ÂÂ, Target managing director Laurence Roe, said. ÃÆâ€â„¢ÃƒÆ’ƒâہ¡ÃƒÆ’‚¢ÃƒÆ’¢Ã¢Ã¢Ã¢Ã¢â€š¬Ã…¡Ãƒâ€šÃ‚¬ÃƒÆ’…¡Ãƒâہ¡ÃƒÆ’‚¬ÃƒÆ’â€Â¦ÃƒƒÂ¢Ãƒ¢Ã¢Ã¢â€š¬Ã…¡Ãƒâ€šÃ‚¬ÃƒÆ’…âہ“The Wolfberry section in Darwin #1 also looks very good, but in keeping with local practice, we will defer any Wolfberry testing and production while the Fusselman remains productive. Wolfberry wells nearby have enjoyed strong success with some operators reporting initial flow rates up to 136 BOPD.ÃÆâ€â„¢ÃƒÆ’ƒâہ¡ÃƒÆ’‚¢ÃƒÆ’¢Ã¢Ã¢Ã¢Ã¢â€š¬Ã…¡Ãƒâ€šÃ‚¬ÃƒÆ’…¡Ãƒâہ¡ÃƒÆ’‚¬ÃƒÆ’â€Å¡Ãƒƒâہ¡ÃƒÆ’‚ Typical Wolfberry wells in the region have the potential to contain up to 130,000 barrels of oil equivalent, with very long lives. The Darwin #1 well is the second well in TargetÃÆâ€â„¢ÃƒÆ’ƒâہ¡ÃƒÆ’‚¢ÃƒÆ’¢Ã¢Ã¢Ã¢Ã¢â€š¬Ã…¡Ãƒâ€šÃ‚¬ÃƒÆ’…¡Ãƒâہ¡ÃƒÆ’‚¬ÃƒÆ’¢Ã¢Ã¢Ã¢Ã¢â€š¬Ã…¡Ãƒâ€šÃ‚¬ÃƒÆ’…¾Ãƒâہ¡ÃƒÆ’‚¢s Fairway project in Howard County, Texas and lies just 3 km north‐east of TargetÃÆâ€â„¢ÃƒÆ’ƒâہ¡ÃƒÆ’‚¢ÃƒÆ’¢Ã¢Ã¢Ã¢Ã¢â€š¬Ã…¡Ãƒâ€šÃ‚¬ÃƒÆ’…¡Ãƒâہ¡ÃƒÆ’‚¬ÃƒÆ’¢Ã¢Ã¢Ã¢Ã¢â€š¬Ã…¡Ãƒâ€šÃ‚¬ÃƒÆ’…¾Ãƒâہ¡ÃƒÆ’‚¢s BOA wells. The well encountered strong hydrocarbon shows throughout the entire target section, with live oil shows consistently seen below 2,103 metres as the well was drilled. Based on the shows in the Wolfberry and on an initial review of the wireline logs in the Fusselman section, the well was completed for oil production.

Target Energy owns a 60% working interest in the Darwin #1 well.
