Spot on Kiwi!! Their illiterate announcements do nothing for their credibility. Here is a quote from their famous "Enters the China Market" announcement in June 2004:

"BQT is pleased to have Dr. Pan heading up the office in Shanghai office in office".

Their web-site is just as bad.

http://www.ShareScene.com/html/emoticons/tongue.gif Maybe there could be a opening for a press officer at BQT!

Did a quick check with my "contact" who has links to inside BQT "Management" ... and apparently this is not the announcement that they are all anticipating. Time will tell ... supposed to be soon (ie max a few weeks) ... but talk is cheap http://www.ShareScene.com/html/emoticons/wink.gif

No $$$$ worth mentioning. If the market saw the insignificant amount BQT was receiving from this contract, the SP would crash. Better to leave everyone guessing.

But if the contract was worth $500k or more, the $$$ value would be mentioned.

Pushing my well documented bullishness about BQT to one side, I must agree with the comments that have been made about their PR/Press output - it certainly does their credibility no favours and gives easy ammunition to their detractors.

For what it's worth, I did try to bring this to their attention whilst they were still Banque-Tec here in the UK, I even - tongue firmly in cheek - offered my services as a Press Officer, but nothing seems to have changed. One wonderful clanger in an announcement that keeps coming up on my searches is the one that says, something like: 'BQT Solutions is now BQT solutions...' Clearly nobody has time to read/edit the PR Department's output. I just hope that's because all their efforts are being expended in the Sales Dept. http://www.ShareScene.com/html/emoticons/rolleyes.gif Please, God.

My money is still on the technology, management, and drive of BQT, but by the lord Harry some literacy in their announcements wouldn't half help.

Cheers,

Moonshine

When they launched their new website a while ago, they promptly set a world record for the number of errors in one sentence. There are 5 errors in the sentence below - can you spot them all?

"Your individual Iris print is developed when you are born and will never change for the rest fo your live, making it a truely indivdual characterisitic."
