arty
Hi V1, According to news reports, the offending QBE trades have been reversed - I believe everything sub-$15. A much bigger problem is the flow-on effect, where some trader, or even a bot program, may have initiated a trade because of the sudden plunge of XXJ, XFJ, XJO, All Ords, ... The logistics of identifying those cases make a just remedy totally impracticable. Friends who have followed my rants in this and various other discussion groups over the years, will know that I've always been an advocate against automated orders. Numerous cases are documented, where access to STP computers enabled unscrupulous people to embark on "stop raids" that trigger an automatic avalanche in a matter of seconds; they then sit at the bottom of the pile, picking up heaps of cheap stock. Automated alerts are very useful instruments, but only a vigilant human operator can detect those bluffs, and refuse to panic. That's part of the reason why my usual entry/exit rules stipulate "on Close below" or "on Close above".

As the Index discussion was livelier at the time, I posted a series of basic (and some not so basic) explanations in that thread. Security Council and Germany, Press TV reported. The six countries will meet Wednesday in Frankfurt, Germany to discuss Iran's nuclear program, the network said. The network did not say what the new package entailed. The news comes days after Germany warned Iran that it has a limited time to return to international talks on its nuclear program before it faces stiffer sanctions. German Chancellor Angela Merkel said she hoped to have a "positive answer" from Iran soon, or else stronger measures would have to be discussed. Germany has played a leading role in trying to break the diplomatic impasse over Iran's nuclear program, which Tehran says is aimed at generating civilian power but Western nations suspect is to develop nuclear weapons. The U.N. Security Council has asked Iran to halt its uranium enrichment program, and the International Atomic Energy Agency -- which is the U.N. nuclear watchdog -- has asked Iran to clear up questions about the nature of its work
