neutron
In reply to: crowman28 on Wednesday 16/11/05 08:51am What spread you getting on the Nikkei Crow? This puppy is the one to go long on if you are a bull IMHO. Has lead the ASX200, FTSE100 and DJ30 all the way out of the recent corrrection. I have one monitor dedicated to these indicies with 4 hourly charts, I have them ordered according to their opening times as relates to GMT. This works better for me as an indicator (leading) then most of the T/A indicators on the XAO (lagging). Like Crow said earlier, crunch time for the Dow as it is at an major inflection point. This is why world markets trading all over the shop last few days. Which way will it break? crowman28
In reply to: neutron on Wednesday 16/11/05 04:39pm What spread do you mean Neutron? I don't understand your question.
neutron
In reply to: crowman28 on Wednesday 16/11/05 04:08pm What's the difference between the buy/sell on the Nikkei contracts when you trade them? Or do you trade at market prices through a futures contract? What is the contract multiplier on the Nikkei Futures contract if you trade this way? Hope you don't mind the questions. Thanks. crowman28
In reply to: neutron on Wednesday 16/11/05 05:25pm I trade the Nikkei through futures, and every point per contract is worth 500 Yen. Hope that answers your question?
happy2
In reply to: crowman28 on Wednesday 16/11/05 05:35pm Crowman, What is each contract worth in $A? The FTSE is worth $23-4, but what is the Nikkei worth?
crowman28
In reply to: happy2 on Wednesday 16/11/05 07:12pm Each point is worth 500 Yen, so about $5.75 in Aussie dollar terms.
happy2
In reply to: crowman28 on Wednesday 16/11/05 07:13pm Crowman Looks like the FTSE is heading towards 5380. I was expecting it to bounce of 5424. Pulling down the DOW futures too. 10 Contracts on the Nikkie would cost $57.50, I take it.
crowman28
In reply to: happy2 on Wednesday 16/11/05 08:39pm There you go happy, 80% chance of winning this short looks good isn't it??
happy2
In reply to: crowman28 on Wednesday 16/11/05 09:45pm Crowman The market came back in the end. DOW didn't finish over the 10700. Ftse still looks soft. Might pull back to 5385.
crowman28
In reply to: happy2 on Thursday 17/11/05 12:55pm Any recovery from FTSE is just another opportunity to sell into it IMO. The Dow should consolidate just above 10600 if this bull run will continue. It may take a week or two to burst through 10700 IMO.
