idribble
In reply to: chimi on Monday 31/10/05 02:12pm On A Jeune. WILL WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No luck last Melbourne Cup, trapped wide throuhgout, shuffled back during the race, all over at the halfway mark. Fought on like a true stayer to get within 9 lengths of Makybe Dive. Meets her on better terms. Good breeding. Slightly different training pattern for this race this time. Will be coming home the hardest of them all. Go On A Jeune you little beauty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

brettan
If any horse finishes in front of Makybe Diva that horse will win. The Diva is about 5 lenghts better than last year and is a true champion. The only other chances are Railings which is bred to stay all day and Demerger which won Adelaide Cup by 7 lengths under a hold admittedly against much weaker opposition. Trifecta : 1. Makybe Diva 2. Railings 3. Demerger Happy Punting everyone!!!!! http://www.sharescene.com/html/emoticons/king.gif
macrae
Quartet for me: Makybe Diva Lachlan River Hugs Dancer Eye Popper Mr Celebrity Railings Exellence All coupled up. 7 X 6 X 5 X 4 = $420 for 50c. Have fun!
laserdude
If it was Leica Holden it would not finish the race, But because its Leica Falcon go for IT.
macrae
In reply to: laserdude on Monday 31/10/05 04:06pm LOL. I have also backed Leica Falcon also for a win $580. Always drop a grand on the race. http://www.sharescene.com/html/emoticons/tongue.gif She'll win or come last. Last win I had was Saintly in the late 90's. http://www.sharescene.com/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif
stroke69
Last year Vinnie Roe carried 58kg and came 2nd to Makybe Diva which carried 55.5kg. This year the two horses meet at the same weight of 58kg. So the way i see it is: 1) Vinnie Roe will beat Makybe Diva because Vinnie Roe's better on the weights this time round. 2) Vinnie Roe isn't as fit as last time and Makybe Diva will do him again. 3) Neither Vinnie Roe or Maykbe Diva will win & either Eyepopper,Railings,Leica Falcon or Statsborg will win. stroke69
http://www.vrc.net.au/cpa/htm/htm_mcc_cont...asp?page_id=155 The above website is the finish of last year's Melbourne cup. As you can see, when Makybe Diva passed Vinnie Roe in the straight thats when Vinnie Roe kicked back and stayed in touch. 58kg might be too much for Makybe Divathis time!
