Interesting little stock with potentially a world market at its feet .

What Council in the world doesn't want cheaper faster less disruptive repairs to the billions of km's of pipes around the world. Stirling Council is the but the first of many, imho.

This is essential, not discretionary spending. Those who live around Sydney are fully aware of reports of the huge amounts of clean water leaking thru their pipes daily.

Early days of course, but this is a significant milestone.

Marketing now to begin.

i hold

Alinta, interestingly, is a 10% holder

awol,

Noticed call for "Expressions of Interest" by Water Corporation for a tender for $40M to reline 54km of 300mm sewer pipes. The pipes are in Perth and are 55 years old.

No guarantee's that SLD will get this work but does establish that the going rate for this type of work is a little under $1M per km. Sounds quite profitable.

Maybe just co-incidence http://www.sharescene.com/html/emoticons/wink.gif

SLD received an international award from the 23rd, 2005 International No Dig Convention for it's Shieldliner rig and equipment.

In advising of the award, the International Society for Trenchless Technology (ÃÆâ€â„¢ÃƒÆ’ƒâہ¡ÃƒÆ’‚¢ÃƒÆ’¢Ã¢Ã¢Ã¢Ã¢â€š¬Ã…¡Ãƒâ€šÃ‚¬ÃƒÆ’…¡Ãƒâہ¡ÃƒÆ’‚¬ÃƒÆ’â€Â¦ÃƒƒÂ¢Ãƒ¢Ã¢Ã¢â€š¬Ã…¡Ãƒâ€šÃ‚¬ÃƒÆ’…âہ“ISTTÃÆâ€â„¢ÃƒÆ’ƒâہ¡ÃƒÆ’‚¢ÃƒÆ’¢Ã¢Ã¢Ã¢Ã¢â€š¬Ã…¡Ãƒâ€šÃ‚¬ÃƒÆ’…¡Ãƒâہ¡ÃƒÆ’‚¬ÃƒÆ’â€Å¡Ãƒƒâہ¡ÃƒÆ’‚ÂÂ) noted that the ShieldLiner System, developed in Western Australia, ÃÆâ€â„¢ÃƒÆ’ƒâہ¡ÃƒÆ’‚¢ÃƒÆ’¢Ã¢Ã¢Ã¢Ã¢â€š¬Ã…¡Ãƒâ€šÃ‚¬ÃƒÆ’…¡Ãƒâہ¡ÃƒÆ’‚¬ÃƒÆ’â€Â¦ÃƒƒÂ¢Ãƒ¢Ã¢Ã¢â€š¬Ã…¡Ãƒâ€šÃ‚¬ÃƒÆ’…âہ“is a product that will address the immediate and every day needs for a tool to repair and rehabilitate aging pipelines, sewers,

waterlines and potentially applications in the oil and gas industries. There is a lot of thought, technology and in depth quality built into the system to ensure adequate and safe repairs that last. The inventors of the ShieldLiner System should be proud of their work and its contribution

to the trenchless industryÃÆâ€â„¢ÃƒÆ’ƒâہ¡ÃƒÆ’‚¢ÃƒÆ’¢Ã¢Ã¢Ã¢Ã¢â€š¬Ã…¡Ãƒâ€šÃ‚¬ÃƒÆ’…¡Ãƒâہ¡ÃƒÆ’‚¬ÃƒÆ’â€Å¡Ãƒƒâہ¡ÃƒÆ’‚ÂÂ.

SP up 2c this morning.

I hold. Since yesterday.

Hi Christopher,

Thanks for that info.

I think that this run will take us to around 35cent mark. Looking for news on completion of licensing agreement for Australia and NZ to kick SP from there.

Picked up a few more today and plan to continue to accumulate for next twelve months. Like the no nonsense way they operate as evidenced by the Annual Report. No frills or waste with these guys. Just get the job done on time and on budget.

Hi rkch

I can see this share really taking off once news of this technology "gets out there". I would have thought 35c was fairly conservative but I guess it depends on getting contracts and therefore income. My guess is that when this SP goes, it will fly, given it is tightly held.

Interesting to watch.

I could not see any evidence of this technology being patented in the USA. Do you know if this is pending?

Christopher,

From their Annual Report 2005 which I received last week:-

" The Shieldliner® System has been recognised as unique and innovative and the company now holds patents to its first generation system in four countries and has patents pending in 17 other jurisdictions. During the year a decision was made to proceed with the national and regional phases of the second generation patent applications in Australia, New Zealand, Europe, Canada, the USA and Japan.

So would expect that this about to happen.

The other area that they are focusing on now that commercial trial has been successful is "Third party certification for materials being used in potable water applications plus verification of durability, wear rates and other long term performance indicators"

Should be a regular stream of announcements from here to keep interest going.

awol,

Dong a bit of research on Trevor Gosatti who is going to be the Managing Director of the company SLD are licensing their technology to in Australia & New Zealand.

The three Gosatti brothers own and operate Premium Corporation Pty Ltd a Perth based Civil Contractor. Trevor Gosatti is also State President of The Civil Contractors Federation.

Premium Corp was established in 1995, employs 50 people and guess what "Specialises in Water Corporation and Gas Company contracting"

That Water Corporation $40M tender looks a lot more interesting now.
