Who cares really - eagles are firm favourites for the 08 flag when they will have the other half of there side back.

The Grand Final was an exclamation point on a remarkable season.

 

These seasons of pure domination seem to be born out of adversity: Essendon's record season in 2000 came after the heartbreaking prelim final loss in 1999 and Geelong's domination seems to have been spurred by the narrow prelim loss to Sydney in 2005 and the clubs "annus horribilis" in 2006.

 

Will be interesting to see if they have a premiership hangover in 2008 or whether they came keep up the ruthless winning streak.

 

Tend to agree with you fatsoh that Scarlett should have won the Norm smith medal, but Johnson played a magnificent game too and is a very deserving wiiner.

 

Mark Thompson was brilliant all year. A man of great strength and character. Mark Williams' mind games about Port Adelaide's winning culture and great Grand Final history during the week seem to have come back to bite him. Port Adelaide now have another piece of Grand final history: the greatest losing margin ever.

Hi, back from the MCG a disappointed POWER supporter.

 

However, let me congratulate GEELONG what a wonderful performance

on the big stage. They were magnificent and fully deserved to win the flag.

 

I also thought Scarlet was BOG.

 

Now it is time to look forward to the 2008 season, we have seen the measuring stick.

 

Geelong have set the standard, and how good did they look.

Geelong - couldn't put a foot wrong all day.

 

Port - can't rely on efforts of Cornes & Burgoyne Brothers only on biggest day of year. Too many spectators! (Great year overall though.)

 

2008 - ah, the hopes of all teams start again.

 

Not a Hawk supporter, but with another pre-season & year of experience behind them, this will be the team to watch in 2008. Franklin & Roughhead!! (How Richmond didn't draft Franklin has me beat??)
