sook
Gee I got this one wrong. I thought Longtom production being suspended over the peak winter season would hurt the shareprice yet its gone the other way in a big way.
slick7
It seems Longtom gas will be flowing again very soon - The National Gas Market Bulletin Board (http://www.gasbb.com.au/viewtable.aspx?region=E_AUST&report=int924) shows they was a tiny amount of gas flowing last week (I'm guessing for testing purposed of the mercury filters)... To obtain the data enter "ORBOST" under the Value field and hit refresh. The flow's really small 1-2 TJ per day but it shows something is going on there and since the schedule indicated it's likely production will resume at the end of September it shows the very likely scenario of testing going on right now
Richie
I spoke with Belinda at Nexus on Friday. All on shedule for Longtom to be back Online September 29th. No more long delays (max 7 days if any problems arise) Richard Cottee's roadshow went 'very well'.

slick7
a Citigroup report that may be interest to NXS holders and potential investors... The Australian LNG supply queue October 4th 2010 https://www.citigroupgeo.com/pdf/SAU09861.pdf It's a detailed report looking at LNG in Australia covering the major projects but it's got a couple of interesting bits relevant to Nexus: quote (see page 31 of the pdf) Shell is the only JV partner currently in its proposed Prelude project. We understand that Shell is interested in adding the Crux reserves to the Prelude LNG scheme, and we think this may require an asset deal with Nexus and also (page 3 of the pdf) We see ShellÃÆâ€â„¢ÃƒÆ’ƒâہ¡ÃƒÆ’‚¢ÃƒÆ’¢Ã¢Ã¢Ã¢Ã¢â€š¬Ã…¡Ãƒâ€šÃ‚¬ÃƒÆ’…¡Ãƒâہ¡ÃƒÆ’‚¬ÃƒÆ’¢Ã¢Ã¢Ã¢Ã¢â€š¬Ã…¡Ãƒâ€šÃ‚¬ÃƒÆ’…¾Ãƒâہ¡ÃƒÆ’‚¢s Prelude project as highly likely to achieve FID in CY11, with KOGAS the likely buyer. The remaining two issues we see for Prelude are: 1) whether the federal government will allow venting of CO2 from a 12% CO2 feedstock gas, and 2) whether they can secure the Crux reserves which we think it will.  NXS share price is certainly cooking with gas at the moment.
