CRICKET

Well, as there's already a Rugby League lock of the week I thought we should probably add this thread as well. Apologies to all non-believers in the game.

India Tests starting next week, just wondering what any other "tragics" take on the best XI is? Gilly reckons he could be going in at 3 which would be an interesting move.

For what it's worth (not much unless AB, DB or any other selector is a secret Share Scene afficianado), here's my 2c.

1. Hayden

2. Langer

3. Clark

4. Martyn

5. Lehmann

6. Katich

7. Gilly

8. Warne

9. Kasprowitz

10. Gillespie

11. McGrath

12. Lee

Though I'm tempted to add Lee for Kasper just to shake em up a bit.

Hi Alfie,

You said " Though I'm tempted to add Lee for Kasper just to shake em up a bit".

Can't see that happening on the sub continent wickets, prepared for spinners.

I can't seem to remember McGrath having too great a series in trying to "shake em up a bit."

Looking forward to the series.

cricket is a great game.....love it.

1. Hayden

2. Langer

3. Katich

4. Martyn

5. Lehmann

6. Clark

7. Gilchrist

8. Warne

9. Kasprowitz

10. Gillespie

11. McGrath

12. Lee

Will they go for the raw pace of Lee or the slow cutters Kaspa bowls on the "Prepared

wickets"? I think you are right Kaspa will get the nod.

Clark is a wonderful young enterprising batsmen and has been left in the wings long enough.

Good luck boys.... give em heaps

I am a great fan of McGrath (I rate him above Lillie) but wonder if he should not look at the ignomious ends of Gordon Tallis and Allistair Lynch before breaking his heart on Indian wickets.

Hello all

big cricket fan too

The Aussies need to bring some quality young players through this series, or its going to lose the Ashes next year, forget about McGrath he has had his day, so too Warne and Gillespie might get 1 game before injury.

Sorry but the Aussies have no bowling, Lee might get a couple of scalps for plenty of runs, they have nothing else.

Warne had his day, sorry can't agree, the best spinner in the history of the game.

cheers

ps.I originally hail from the same place as that other spinner, Murali.

pps. Excellant win Port Power, Lions were too arrogant.
