Much lower metal prices? Yes, for the day, copper is lower and so is the $A. Copper now $1.18 or $A1.71, still a good price.

However, OXR won't produce copper till March next year and much can happen before. We do know there will be a shortage varying from 300k tonnes to 700 k tonnes.

As to the gold price, yes, it is down but still good at a lower $A. Cost of production is low at $US135/ounce.

Also, OXR is to supply 40,000 ounces of gold at $US400 from July 1, this year.

Having said that, many investors realize that this year is one of expenditure (building of the massive Sepon Copper project) so as to benefit from the to be ramped up production of copper and gold next year.

I believe that share prices would have taken that into account.

The upgrading from 165,000 ounces of gold to 230,000 ounces will take place this year.

A sane market will also take account of future prospects, eg Thailand, Australia, China, Cyprus and other projects to come:

Australia: Prominent Hill: A massive rich copper/gold deposit which has been drilled for some time and the total inventory should be known before long:

I should also mention that OXR will enter the ASX Index on July 5, which is not too far away. Companies operating indices will need to stock up on OXR shares.

Readers, please do your own research and you decide if and when to buy, hold or sell any stocks.

I also need to add the heavy exploration taking place in the Laos Sepon District where the gold plant is and the massive copperplant is being built now:

The expansion of exploration in the Sepon District:

"Thengkham is an exciting mineralised system. ItÃÆâ€â„¢ÃƒÆ’ƒâ€Â ÃƒÆ’¢Ã¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ã‚¬Ãƒ¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¾Ã‚¢ÃƒÆ’ƒÆ’â€Å¡Ãƒƒâہ¡ÃƒÆ’‚¢ÃƒÆ’Æâ€â„¢ÃƒÆ’ƒâہ¡ÃƒÆ’‚¢ÃƒÆ’¢Ã¢Ã¢Ã¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ã‚¬Ãƒâ€¦Ã‚¡ÃƒÆ’‚¬Ãƒâ€Â¦ÃƒÆ’‚¡ÃƒÆ’â€Å¡Ãƒƒâہ¡ÃƒÆ’‚¬ÃƒÆ’Æâ€â„¢ÃƒÆ’ƒâہ¡ÃƒÆ’‚¢ÃƒÆ’¢Ã¢Ã¢Ã¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ã‚¬Ãƒâ€¦Ã‚¡ÃƒÆ’‚¬Ãƒâ€Â¦ÃƒÆ’‚¾ÃƒÆ’â€Å¡Ãƒƒâہ¡ÃƒÆ’‚¢s mainly copper but also contains some copper/gold mineralisation. It is nearby Khanong and appears to be several kilometres long and a few hundred metres wide.

We reported some excellent results from Thengkham earlier and weÃÆâ€â„¢ÃƒÆ’ƒâ€Â ÃƒÆ’¢Ã¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ã‚¬Ãƒ¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¾Ã‚¢ÃƒÆ’ƒÆ’â€Å¡Ãƒƒâہ¡ÃƒÆ’‚¢ÃƒÆ’Æâ€â„¢ÃƒÆ’ƒâہ¡ÃƒÆ’‚¢ÃƒÆ’¢Ã¢Ã¢Ã¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ã‚¬Ãƒâ€¦Ã‚¡ÃƒÆ’‚¬Ãƒâ€Â¦ÃƒÆ’‚¡ÃƒÆ’â€Å¡Ãƒƒâہ¡ÃƒÆ’‚¬ÃƒÆ’Æâ€â„¢ÃƒÆ’ƒâہ¡ÃƒÆ’‚¢ÃƒÆ’¢Ã¢Ã¢Ã¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ã‚¬Ãƒâ€¦Ã‚¡ÃƒÆ’‚¬Ãƒâ€Â¦ÃƒÆ’‚¾ÃƒÆ’â€Å¡Ãƒƒâہ¡ÃƒÆ’‚¢re continuing to drill. The results so far have been excellent and weÃÆâ€â„¢ÃƒÆ’ƒâ€Â ÃƒÆ’¢Ã¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ã‚¬Ãƒ¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¾Ã‚¢ÃƒÆ’ƒÆ’â€Å¡Ãƒƒâہ¡ÃƒÆ’‚¢ÃƒÆ’Æâ€â„¢ÃƒÆ’ƒâہ¡ÃƒÆ’‚¢ÃƒÆ’¢Ã¢Ã¢Ã¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ã‚¬Ãƒâ€¦Ã‚¡ÃƒÆ’‚¬Ãƒâ€Â¦ÃƒÆ’‚¡ÃƒÆ’â€Å¡Ãƒƒâہ¡ÃƒÆ’‚¬ÃƒÆ’Æâ€â„¢ÃƒÆ’ƒâہ¡ÃƒÆ’‚¢ÃƒÆ’¢Ã¢Ã¢Ã¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ã‚¬Ãƒâ€¦Ã‚¡ÃƒÆ’‚¬Ãƒâ€Â¦ÃƒÆ’‚¾ÃƒÆ’â€Å¡Ãƒƒâہ¡ÃƒÆ’‚¢re to start some metallurgical test work. The mineralisation includes chalcocite, oxide and primary material so we need to determine the best processing route".

There are other excellent prospects in the Sepon District, they have 8 drilling rigs working there now and I did mention the very low production costs.

I did mention the low gold production cost in LAOS of gold: $US135 per ounce.

Here is an old Announcement on Kanong Copper:

"Project Economics Estimated cash costs at Khanong are highly competitive at US37ÃÆâ€â„¢ÃƒÆ’ƒâ€Â ÃƒÆ’¢Ã¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ã‚¬Ãƒ¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¾Ã‚¢ÃƒÆ’ƒÆ’¢Ã¢Ã¢Ã¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ã‚¬Ãƒâ€¦Ã‚¡ÃƒÆ’‚¬Ãƒâ€Â¦ÃƒÆ’‚¡ÃƒÆ’Æâ€â„¢ÃƒÆ’ƒÂ¢Ãƒ¢Ã¢Ã¢â€š¬Ã…¡Ãƒâ€šÃ‚¬ÃƒÆ’…¡ÃƒÆ’â€Å¡Ãƒƒâہ¡ÃƒÆ’‚¢/lb copper".

First year's production: 60,000 tonnes of copper. This should be expanded the following year with ore to come from Thenkham IMHO (3 deposits have been located along 4 km).

Thenkham is 7 km from the Khanong Copper plant; it will use the Thenkham ore as well.

My post of 8 June, 1.03 pm, refers.

Meanwhile, I have contacted OXR and asked them to express the price of gold and copper in $A in their graphs as well.

I did mention that while the $US price of gold has gone down, the $A price has moved up.

Keeping values in $US only means that it could give the wrong impression to new Investors and could be damaging to OXR.

Reply from OXR:

"You are indeed correct that changes in the A$ impact the A$ price of copper and gold however, unlike most other resource companies in Australia, our costs and revenues are mostly in US$ and hence the A$ price of these commodiities is largely irrelevant to OXR, which is why we post these on our web site in US$. For further details on our FX exposure, please refer to this section on our web site".

Please note that OXR is to supply 40,000 ounces of gold from 1 July for a contract price of US$400.

(their current production is about 160,000-165,000 ounces per year).

Tax losses on 31 Dec: $A 26.5 mill

It's been the daytrades there are. domeone is accumulkating big time. It's been getting sold down in daytime, closes have been fantastic. I absolutely don't mind to currently ride it on a daily basis. Buy at 81-83 and sell at 85. Once there's a change in trend. I'll hold longer .... and it seems close. For now I just take some pocket money.

ps: you don't have to agree, but it works for me.

pps: Don't tell Goblin that I don't only buy them, but actually sell too. He'd hate me for that ,as, according to him, everbody should only buy. He's probably right, just has severe timing problems.
